- A local Satanic organization has convinced a school district in Delaware County that its dress code was discriminatory against Satanists.
Joseph Rose, the founder of a local organization called Satanic Delco, says fellow Satanists with children attending schools within the Rose Tree Media School District made him aware of the verbiage in the dress code banning any clothing or gear that are "satanic in nature."

Ex-delco member here Joseph Rose is an awful person who, should not be leading any group. He abusee his power as a lead, a lot of young woman in the group left after bring to Joseph they will no longer stay silent about his abuse, and asked him to step down as the leader of satnic delcon.

The only restriction legally placed on Christian prayer goes back to Engle vs Vitale in 1962 and it simply ended the MANDATORY participation in prayer led by public schools' faculties. A student may voluntarily say "Grace" in the cafeteria of a public school. The year before, SCOTUS ended report-card-graded Bible study in private school.
Satanists are a form of athiests who take Satan, the symbol, not Lucifer, the biblical figure, as their icon.

Allowing one religion but not another is discrimination.
That's equality. It was previously a privilege for some students at this school to have a right to express their religion, but others were not and experienced discrimination. Your situation is different as you go to a different school than these students, and I assume all the students at your school are held to the same dress code. It would be a privilege if some didn't have to wear the uniform, but you did because of your religion/race/politics etc.

This is quite literally changing the dress code so that it doesn't single out and discriminate against one specific religion. Wearing imagery that is Christian in nature, or Jewish, or Muslim, or any other religion was allowed. Satanism was specifically banned. Satanism is a federally recognized religion by the US, and based on the First Amendment you cannot discriminate against any specific religion. Therefore the dress code was amended to comply with the First Amendment. Again, this is nothing to do with forcing viewpoints on people. What do you have against Satanist parents having a say at how their children are raised?
