I decided to go for niche only for 2 reasons: 1. That most of the time they're truly unique smelling and I do appreciate others' curiosity with what I'm wearing and 2. They're so expensive that in a way it prevents me from hoarding perfumes, and it forces me to really choose only what I like best
For me, I just see more value when a niche lasts longer! Or performs better but JC ain't about that lifestyle choice. Haha If it doesn't perform well, its gotta be fricking gorgeous and I can only financially afford a couple of those.
Side Effect, yes! I tried this one out a couple of weeks ago and it blew me away. Looking forward to picking up a bottle for the fall & winter. Shoot, I might just get one sooner so I can give it a wear on summer nights!

It will join MFK's Masculin Pluriel, Tom Ford Beau de Jour, Roja Scandal, and Chanel Platinum Egoiste. I chose to skip At the Barbers in favor of the others. I appreciate Terre d'Hermes but it is not a love. Daniel Josier's Vetiver, however, sounds like something I'd love.
Brilliant idea, there are many designer fragrances that smell good when it comes to the technicalities, but do not evoke any mood they can be kind of dead sometimes, it would be nice to find there Niche "upgrades" which use more naturals and are blended better and evoke a mood.
I know in another one of you videos you spoke about how this video didn't get as much love as you would have hoped but this concept is very intriguing to me and I am sure to the others that have viewed it could you potentially do a live stream on this topic if not another video

It's the one that started my interest and love for fragrances.i It's so different compared to other fragrances, i haven't smelled anything like it. If you didn't try it, i suggest it with my whole newbie heart. I also love watching your videos, very calming after a days work. Keep doing what you love, i apreciate and respect you.
i wanted to feel the same way about side effect as everyone else does, so badly. but it doesnt mesh with my skin well. it smells like cough syrup, the opening is too much and i dont get enough of the tobacco/rum after the drydown. i was so disapointed. absolute aphrodisiac and oud for greatness are amazing though, and im gonna try blessed baraka soon. awesome video!🙏🏽🖤💎
Creed's Vetiver Geranium reminded me of a cleaner, more refined niche Terre D'Hermes the first time I smelled it. And, it's hard to top Sartorial with it's "steamy iron" ozonic effect, but MDCI Parfum's Invasion Barbare is similar and has it's own charm. Navitus Parfum's Intimus is remarkably similar to Ultra Male as well...decent list 👍
Hi Justin. I actually place Terre d'Hermes on a par with Bleu de Chanel and above Dior Sauvage (Elixir being the exception). Hermes is an exceptionally classy designer house. Desir Toxic is almost impossible to get in the UK. I've been searching for it in vain for the past 2 years.

Love the concept. I agree about Terre D' Hermes, it is a niche for the price of designer, their best ever, not sure I'll go for something smoother, it is the brashness that literally drew me to it! Sartorial sounds interesting and so does desir toxic though the cannabis in it is a bit of a turn off to me. I remember Tommy, never actually owned it, I thought it was nice but too generic and mass appeal. At the time I preferred Gucci Nobile. So I'd be interested in trying My Gentleman. I never really liked the JPG perfumes. I used a bottle of wanted but not the by night flanker. I did smell it and liked it much more than the original. Not sure I'd go for something with a boozy edge like Side Effect.
I gotta buy desiretoxic. Ultramale scent of the day, always fantastic even at work its perfect specially the dry down almost oud like in its stankyness.
I watched your “Absolute Favorite Fragrance” video and I had to ask you some questions about Lunar Vetiver from Amouroud. Does the Vetiver in Lunar Vetiver smells dirty to you..?? Because I’m really can’t stand dirty Vetiver.
I'm surprised you mentioned Tommy H. Obviously, preferences matter here. People like what they like. However, I can't get past how Tommy gives me a juvenile vibe. Great for young bloods? Sure. I think older fellas will find more success with a more sophisticated approach.
Honestly never owned Niche unless you count Tom Ford. Even with that said I never owned a private collection frag. However I do have a sample kit of 7 frags coming from Scent Splits with a lot of Niche samples. Parfum De Marley all that good stuff. I recommend if you truly love frags do not limit your scope. Yes Niche is ***** expensive but at least sample it to know what is smells like. Even if you have a 2ml that should give you a couple sprays, you only need 3 of 4 per wear so you can experience wearing the scent a few days and know what is like to make up your mind.

A bit pricey but it is a really wonderful scent in the same direction.

I totally agree, I prefer TDH to the others. It's just not quite as popular as them because it is not a mass-appealing scent.
