    I'm surprised there was no retort to the "racist at worst" comment with "this coming from miss 'all you humans look alike to me?'" This was a fun listen!

      Maybe instead of a forest elf she's actually a drow, 'cause she seems as black as the proverbial pot!

    • @UrbanNymph
      @UrbanNymph  Год назад +19

      The lack of self awareness is deliberate - it's part of the nuance. Didn't expect so many people to be "OMG she's a hypocriteeeee," like - YES. That's the point, but she's learning. A character with no flaws and no growth arc is pretty boring!

    • @UrbanNymph
      @UrbanNymph  Год назад +5

      @Rosencrantz&Guildenstern I get the "joke" you're trying to make, but this might have been the worst possible way to make it. Also, please see my other comment about the intentional hypocrisy for the purpose of growth/character development.

      @@UrbanNymph I get what you're saying but people are gonna point out things about the character seeing as we don'tly've gotten a brief snippet of their story and personality.
      It's like if you only watched the Is 1st 5 minutes iron man And had to wait to see the rest of the movie you'd probably think negatively a Stark.
      Overall I did actually like The story 10/10 hopefully we'll see more and get some development.

    This reminds me of the family guy joke with Kermit holding up a shotgun
    "Excuse me do you know the way to town?"
    "Yeah it's back the way you came!"

    A new character! A neat little twist on the elf archetype. Treebilly is a term that cracks me up.
    Ya know, it's that she mentions carrying a bow. With that accent I fully expected her to be revolver toting gunslinger.

      I'm a little surprised that the characters know what a neurotoxin is.

    • @UrbanNymph
      @UrbanNymph  Год назад

      The beautiful thing about a fantasy story is that you can set whatever parameters you like! I think a community of people living in the forest and surviving off of nature would definitely understand how nerves/muscles/senses work, and also how to impede those things. Paralytics, neurotoxins, etc would all be part of the arsenal.

      @@UrbanNymph Makes a lot of sense. One doesn't live deep into the woods without learning what plants are safe and which are not and the likes.

    "You're an idiot at best, and a racist at worst." "You Humans all look the same."
    Crow calls the Raven black, also loving the accent never thought of an elf with such an accent, I thought I'd heard it all with Rayla having that sccotish/Irish accent, this is a pleasant surprise, like then, the accent somehow works.
