We don’t get Canadian bacon but I can ‘dolly up’ some English back bacon medallions with some maple syrup. I’ve done it before and it’s a nice low fat wannabe. We loved eggs benedict and we like to change up the meat on it sometimes whatever we have in the refrigerator whether we have ham bacon salami and there was a diner I used to go to Dave and made corned beef hash eggs benedict or even a sausage patty with the sausage patty when they even put sausage gravy on it

Another good one , I love Eggs Benedict but always stress about the Hollandaise Sauce but you made it look easy so I will try your way , we don't get Canadian Bacon in Australia I guess our Middle Bacon would do the trick, I know in the US your bacon is only just what we call Streaky Bacon, (which i love 😋 )I always wonder what you do with the top middle bit ?? Any hoo i am going to give this a try ,thanks once again for an informative video 🤗👌
I absolutely love eggs Benedict!! I use a short cut...knorrs hollandaise sauce mix! I also use ham rounds I get at aldi....much cheaper and just as good! From Montgomery al ❤️ 💕
Sorry as a Canadian that is not Canadian bacon. Peameal aka Canadian bacon is pickled loin, rolled in cornmeal and needs to be cooked. Not to be negative but that is smoked meat more like ham. Big difference in flavour. It’s too bad that they sell it as Canadian bacon because your missing out on a unique taste.
In the United States, "Canadian" bacon is plain lean "back bacon" made from the loin, and it is trichina treated but must be cooked before using. It is simply called "back bacon" in Canada, where "Canadian bacon" is traditionally unsmoked back bacon that has been sweet pickle cured and coated in yellow cornmeal.
