hey man i'm a little late to the channel but your older videos have been super informative! i just hope you are still active and can keep giving the community lots of your knowledge its helped me a great deal with trout fishing these colder months 😎
It's a shame that happened to yall and unfortunately you're right about it not being you're last. Use this experience as an opportunity to learn and built off of it, that's all you can do. I can't wait to hear all about the tournament and hope for the best on your next one. Tight lines Capt.
I am so sorry things ended up the way it did for you guys. I was listening to the podcast and kept up with you guys being in the tournament and was wondering how you were doing. Thanks for taking the time to share your status. Looking forward to you guys kicking butt and taking names next year.
My boys Allen Jernigan and Jason Dail were down there until today. You're 100% right saying there's no way they'd mess up their lead. Both men are awesome anglers but even they didn't make the final cut this time around.
It’s all good brotha! Went sight fishing yesterday and after multiple shots at a few reds they just didn’t wanna eat 🤦🏻♂️ keep it up and you’ll have more break throughs!
It’s a bummer all around. It’s not like you couldn’t find the fish though, Mother Nature delt y’all two a rough hand. The preparation and determination you two gave it makes it a world class effort.
I hear you on the dreams. My buddy and I got towed in on a bass tournament cause his boat wouldn’t start. We were only .5miles from the ramp thank goodness got 4th out of 130. Bass champs at falcon lake. Need to find a good partner for salt water to fish tournaments. Keep your head up. Look forward to your info. Would love to see a book about what you know or if you know of any. I’m tired of seeing good places and fishing them with no fish one week and next week they are some there. I use to get by fishing like that but things seem more difficult lately or at least since the freeze.
I have been in that same situation. Trolling motor doesn’t have enough thrust to pull the boat and the big prop can’t get enough grip to spin it up. This is why everyone should keep a running prop and a holeshot prop on their boat at the same time. A 4 blade version of Jack Foreman’s 3 blade flats prop is what you needed. It’s a tough break but it happens. My partner and myself got caught in a back lake many years ago. We could get up, just couldn’t get out. Water dropped to about 2” deep for 50ft over sand.
I have those same types of dreams and I’m no fighter in real life either, so I know exactly what you mean.. Sorry it turned out the way it did. You’ll be back next near. Please keep the content coming on RUclips and the Bite Me podcast.
Did you try holding your trolling motor up by hand so only the props (even if half or most of it) would be submerged.. That usually helps get my little boat (16 footer) out :)
I connect with that Caleb lol 😂
Tough luck Captain Caleb. I look forward to hearing more about this on the upcoming podcast.
Man too bad for ya'll.....hopefully Everything is okay with the boat

That’s a bummer but like you said, you have to go all in at a time like that! I know exactly how you feel regarding your dream reference lol

Regardless of the what happened. The most important thing is you made it out and can fish another day.

We used multiple props trying to get out.
@@CaptCalebTV sometimes you’re the windshield and sometimes you’re the bug. Are you running a Bravo XC on that setup?
The 'big dump' was happening in Matagorda this weekend. Drains were producing all weekend. Keep trucking buddy.
Man I can't punch worth a crap in my dreams either 😂😂 Hindsight is 20/20 but no way you could have predicted that! You'll bounce back!
You gave it a great shot!
LOL, my dreams are exactly like that.....

Tried it all. Lol
How skinny do you usually troll for fish sight casting in your boat? I have a 23’ shoalwater and I’m trying to do the same
All depths.
You need to start making merch
