I love how Simon really takes the time to point out little facts. Most constuction guys dont care to teach little tidbits. Shows a true master who cares!
@@judithlalande2773he’s been joking around a lot with Yanis as he’s obviously very happy to be back working with him. He calls him son and gives him pats on his back and bear hugs! You really must have a very negative view on life. I see the exact opposite to you !!
If they had a demolition event added to the Olympics, I think Yanis would take the gold! I’m glad he made it back from Paris after all the festivities and power outages!
Gentlemen, I feel compelled to say how I fully enjoy the integrity of each of you. Not only are you so well skilled, but remarkably considerate you are of each other. I am no longer a participant of television and the trash it provides. I’m happy to contribute to such channels that show us some fabulously interesting challenges. The sincerity with which you approach the restoration, and the communicating with us, your viewers.😮Truly, the pleasure is ours ! Thank you. ❤❤
Thank you so much for having the lovely music again, I don't know how watching demolition / renovation can be a Zenlike experience, but the music even at its most eclectic always promotes that state for me. It's also quite lovely having Simon as part of the team again, you all bring something unique to the table.
I love to watch Simon and Janis interact with each other. It shows that Janis just thinks Simon is the greatest and Simon really likes Janis too and appreciates how well he is doing under his training.
Yannis looks so fragile, but he’s such a little powerhouse when he’s demolishing, & working, & such a quick learner, he & Simon just power through the jobs they do. Love seeing these 2 working together.
Yea Billy..glad you're back with the camera..we love Alex and know how great it is to have him. But you are our comfort zone. We appreciate all the hard work.❤
Years ago I worked for a man who owned a large landscape construction business. When he was a child in depression-era Los Angeles he started his first business hand-dragging gas station lots with a 2x4 with magnets attached and pulled by a rope. One penny for 10 nails or screws.
Thanks Simon for showing us the tree rings. If you notice the older one with more rings. Thin rings means less rain. A dendrologist can tell the age of a beam or piece of wood by taking a sample and comparing it to a chart. Can't remember at the moment how far back the chart goes but they have been able to date from 1200BC, pretty cool.
I’m recovering from surgery on both my lower arms after i crushed them in a fall whilst removing an old rotten shed 🙁😩😩😩 Watching you guys is helping keep me sane, best renovation channel on RUclips 🤗💕🏴love to all from Scotland
11;42; AND the light rings are spring/summer growth, the dark rings are fall/winter growth. people don't think about trees growing during dormancy but they do. a little bit anyways...
I used to volunteer at a large community theatre, and one of the tasks when the show is over is to "strike" the set, i. e., take the set down. We had one of those rolling nail/screw magnets that one of us would run around the stage several times throughout strike. Rolling is fun. Taking the nails and screws off of the magnet and sorting the screws after...not so much! 😂
Things are doing more than Cracking On , they are busting loose ! Each episode just brings more excitement for the next. Amazing job Billy ...it must be awesome to see your thoughts of transformation coming to fruition . Absolutely amazingly well done 👍
Those magnets that roll are useful to anyone using nails staples etc outside. Roofers go over properties and help you from getting bad tires on construction sites. Great they have one
Simon, you are a hoot! Always throwing out interesting tidbits of information…sometimes mind boggling! I would love to have a conversation with you but unfortunately I live in Arkansas and am 85 years old so don’t travel much anymore. Enjoy your teachings though. Crack on!
Work goes on and prep for the sandblasting. This is going to be so amazing when finished. I love watching the progress and each step as they come. Doing a fine job Gentlemen. Have a great day
Thank you ever so much Billy Simon, Rick, Mick, Yanis, you all are incredibly talented and you bring such joy and positivity to so many people. Praying for healing, restoration, peace, strength, and everything you all stand in need of as you continue this project🙏 "May the Lord bless you and keep you, may He watch over you and give you His peace." Such dramatic clearing music! Don't forget to magnetically sweep in the corner where the car was parked, that's where Ryan was dropping demo debris out the window 😊 Tree rings are fascinating, the different widths in the same tree's rings indicate different temperatures and water availability in different years.
That giant magnet is genius! And in my dream of volunteering at the Convent, THAT is a job I could actually manage! (I am disabled & it is rough -- painful -- for me to travel even within the US. Doesn't keep me from dreaming of being an unskilled volunteer worker at the Convent. Crack on, Team Petherick!
That ground magnet is perfect for picking up all the nails Yannis has pulled out of the beams. That will also help save your tires from metal outside. Also for the time you ask your kid to grab a box of nails that they eventually drop on the floor and they scatter.😂
nails in the tire are no fun. We used to use the magnetic sweepers at work. When we were done we would roll it onto a piece of cardboard and do the release... fold the cardboard on the ribs and dump the nails into the bin. Or your enemy's driveway! No don't do that.
The hob/extractor would look even better if you countersink it into the work surface and seal the edge with heat resistant silicone. I have that and it’s better for cleaning the surfaces. Otherwise you are the best at doing the stuff you do. Such a perfectionist. Great work!!
A little bit of everything makes for a very entertaining video. Love Sadie’s hob, great installation Billy! Great investment to prevent potential punctures! Crack on! 🇨🇦🙏❤️

Thank you as well for the new energy efficient appliances you use; those will be great to find when I restore or build my next home! Brilliant work Billy and team!
They use magnets like that in the operating rooms. If the instruments counts don’t match at the beginning of the surgery and the end of the surgery, then everything stops until they find the missing instrument. They will run the giant magnet on wheels across the floor to see if they can find the instrument and the pt will also be Xray-ed . Surgery doesn’t end until all the counts match!
