These medicated products are great for promoting scalp health, sulfur and salicylic acid. I have a scalp condition and use Selsun Blue natural with salicylic acid 3%. It's great for restoring the acid mantle of the scalp, moisturizing, de-clogging pores of sebum and dead skin cells (this is identical to the OTC acne medication), and is a keratolytic just like sulfur. I think it works faster than sulfur, but Sulfur 8 is really leading in scalp health in a grease like product. I will pick up the Sulfur 8 fresh!
Also, I stopped using the yellow sulfur 8 because they use cinnamate which is derived from cinnamon and is a known irritant. I got allergy tested after using a cinnamon shampoo bar and was confirmed to be allergic to cinnamon derivatives, so this is why Sulfur 8 probably made a more simple less irritating formula. Just trying to help those out there who struggle with finding the right products.
@@jihanjude6634 you have so much good information! It’s interesting because I got an allergy test done because cinnamon bothered me but in a very weird painful way. It would cause my joints to hurt. But when they tested me it came back negative.

I actually use this on my daughter hair the sulfur 8 fresh it toned down the shedding of her hair and it grows her hair like a weed. The regular and light sulfur 8 didnt really work now her hair and scalp doing well.
Hey Char, can u talk about what products that u use to slick ur hair down? I don't like gel because they can be very drying & I don't like anything that makes my hair hard.
