The Peach in this movie was done very well, definitely one of my favorites in the movie. Her and mario can relate in the way of protecting the ones they love, peach with the toads and mario with his brother.

Honestly, I don’t get why lots of people didn’t like Peach in this. They say “Peach is supposed to be the damsel in distress.” Yes, in the games. This is a movie, they needed to give her more than that. Plus, Luigi was a far better choice to be the one needing saving, because Mario has a very special relationship with him, whereas Peach he hadn’t even met yet. Granted, I would’ve appreciated more Luigi, but keep in mind there’s still so much they’re going to do with the Mario cinematic universe. Possibly including a Luigi’s Mansion movie as well.

WOuld have loved Luigi to go along on their journey too and not just jump in last minte for the fina battle, but this was fine. Plus they STILL had her become a damsel in distress and need saving. She is a badass and fights when she needs to, but shows wisdom and care for knowing WHEN NOT TO fight, such "Don't hurt my Toads." She surrendered to save Toad, but still did somethin by having him sneak an ice flower to her in the bunch of normal flowers. But even then I love that despite her best effort she still fails due to a mistake she made with King Bobomb and needs Mario in the end to save her and everyone.
I *LOVE LOVE LOVE* how Peach was done in this film! She's sweet, selfless, badass, and funny. And I love that she didn't belittle Luigi during the training montage and believes in him and helps him achieve his goal. Also Anya Taylor Joy was perfectly cast as Peach and I can't wait to see Furiosa!

While I'm not the biggest fan of Peach being a "girl boss!!", I cannot begin to tell you how refreshing it is to see a strong female character being nice and helpful towards the male lead, instead of treating him like shit for the unforgivable crime of having a penis.
I studied color psychology for film in college and I began to analyze Peach’s colors and what they signify about her character and personality. Her pink dress signifies she is mostly kind, compassionate, and caring. Her white gloves/dress signifies her purity, innocence, and goodness. Her yellow hair signifies she is friendly, optimistic, and cheerful. Her blue eyes signify her loyalty, wisdom, and confidence. Even the red on her white dress signifies her strength, courage, and passion. They all describe who Princess Peach is, and they describe her perfectly and beautifully.
Princess Peach will always be by Mario's side when Mario needs her help to save his brother Luigi because Mario promised himself he'll never let anything bad happen to him. Because that's true brotherhood.
I don't know who at Illumination animated her model, but, she looks SO great in this movie. She looks a lot more prettier than the games. And I LOVE how she's a bit of a badass in this film, and Anya-Taylor Joy KILLS it with her voice performance.

I love her tomboy attitude and her energy also her eyes and hair are so beautiful I love them glad they pick them out I love how she’s not like any other princess shes so battle hardened I think she gets off on fighting and when she flirts with Mario lol it was sweet they captured the best moments perfectly it’s so weird and scary

I didn’t watch the movie yet but I am starting to like peach, they made her so brave in this movie. A princess that’s willing to fight for her kingdom, and it’s not about Mario saving the princess. It’s about Mario and princes working together.

In this Mario film, I like how they made Princess Peach different from her video game counterpart, rather than her a woman in destress, she's portrayed as a head-strong, tough-but kind-hearted character and voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy

Interesting Fact: The directors mention that they planned to switch roles with Peach and Ligui. With Peach helping Mario to rescue Ligui. Because they felt like having them on the original roles with just be too straightforward. They also stated that they want the princess to focus ruling over the kingdom.
