@@Simproved Well I'm really interested in traditional architecture, that's also the reason I liked the movie and watched every scene that showed the house multiple times so that I can make a plan but I didn't put it in a final version on paper just yet. I'm still rewatching the movie and the making off to try and figure out the smaller staircase because it's really odd the more I think about it. There is a general rule in traditional buildings, the walls are the same no matter which level. There are a few exceptions of non load baring separation walls but in general the floor plan of the 1st floor is near identical to the ground floor. Give me a day and I'll try to put a make shift floor plan together for you.
2005 P&P is one of my favorite movies of all time. This build is beautiful. I’m def gonna spend like 6 hours in CAS creating the Bennett and Mr Darcy now and move them into this house 😅😅
This is everything and more than what I expected and fantasised for a sims 4 depiction. The rooms look identical to movie which I appreciate as a perfectionist myself. Thank you so much for making something I didnt know I wanted really badly to exist in the sims! You have such an amazing work ethic xx
The timing of this is uncanny. I just spent the weekend rewatching all the Jane Austin content I could find, Including the Keira Knightley pride and prejudice and the BBC mini series (and yes the BBC version is my favorite haha)

I’ve never heard if the 95 version before I started building this and looked up references etc. could borrow my SIL DVD set and watched it. Still think production wise 2005 is the better version. But I guess this has to do more with budget and advancements in technology. Love how everyone shares their fav version if the series/movies in here. This just shows how much of a fan you are and I hope that fans of the story are inspired to play it in the sims.
2005 p&p is such a beautiful movie and you’ve really done it justice! this is a gorgeous build that captures the vibe of the movie as well as the physical details and I’m amazed by it!

I know there are people who loooove Pride and Prejudice but it was never something I was that into. However your build is fantastic! I always enjoy when you build things that are based on something like a movie location. My computer absolutely could not run this but it would be so fun to play here!
Yeah I am also not sooo big of a fan of the story. But I am definitely a fan if the set design in the movie, especially for this house. So I had to build it! ☺️ if you have any builds from movies, games etc you might want to see, let me know my friend

@@Simproved I'm always building my own little crappy ones and I get upset with the flooring stones not matching the basement wall stones along with the fence stones. Now I can just hide it in debug!
Oh it fits like a glove in the scenery! It really belongs there. :) On a completely different note, I'd love to see you do a build inspired by Altered carbon as seen in the Netflix series. :D I just love me some grungy cyber punk and I know you'd absolutely kill it!
I was thinking to do something Cyberpunk. The thing is even San Myshuno is too clean and it smacks you right out of the vibe if the world doesn't fit that much, especially with cyberpunk. I have a list of cyberpunk builds from movies and games. Not sure yet if anything of it is possible and also useable in the game. Guess I have to playtest a bit and play around with objects.
@@Simproved oooh I hope you get around to it! 👀 I get what you mean, I've been throwing around trash with TOOL to make San Myshuno more cyberpunk.. :D it's somehow easier to get into the illusion when building in apartments but the "Salthouse" lot is pretty cool too bc the surroundings look industrial. I wish we got a cyberpunk pack someday 🖤🤘👽

i don't know the film, so i don't have the extra level of appreciation by recognising the accuracy and all that. But this is such a lovely build, so detailed, it's a mood (which is what one want from a period-build, right?)

lol,I've actually watched the Series. Sept Tour looks wonderful and while I was watching I had a good look at everything, thinking if I might build it in The Sims.Sadly without CC in my opinion for now it is not doable. The wallpaper in the living room alone, we don't have anything that's even close. It's the curse of the medieval castles. Hard to build them acurately. But maybe in the future when more packs are out. I definitely have it on my list!

Naw. There are plenty of really detailed versions of it already on the gallery and since I personally didn’t enjoy watching it the first time, I don’t see it being built by me. I think the Pride and Prejudice builds are done for me for now. Sorry.

I HAAAATE the BBC version LOL. The 2005 version is so much better. :D BTW, is there a reason why you made the side wings not line up with each other? (In the front of the house the right side wing sticks out 1 square farther, and in the back view of the house the right side of the house also sticks out 1 square farther)? The floorplan appears to be symmetrical.

you did the upstairs layout completely wrong. all of them. from the layout of the walls, who has which room, where the beds are, just all of it.

Yes the bridges itself have no real collision with the sims, so you need to stick a platform in there for them to be able to walk on them. :D

The wallpaper in the living room alone, we don't have anything that's even close. It's the curse of the medieval castles. Hard to build them acurately. But maybe in the future when more packs are out. I definitely have it on my list!

Naw. There are plenty of really detailed versions of it already on the gallery and since I personally didn’t enjoy watching it the first time, I don’t see it being built by me. I think the Pride and Prejudice builds are done for me for now. Sorry.

I HAAAATE the BBC version LOL. The 2005 version is so much better. :D BTW, is there a reason why you made the side wings not line up with each other? (In the front of the house the right side wing sticks out 1 square farther, and in the back view of the house the right side of the house also sticks out 1 square farther)? The floorplan appears to be symmetrical.

Hello, just wanted to say your audio seems to have been uploaded very low volume. I had to turn my volume on the monitor, the volume on YT and my laptop all to 100 and it's still very quiet.
Yes. I know. Something was off with the recording. Unfortunately there is nothing i can do on my end. Happy you can hear it on highest volume though.
