Singing in Japanese isn’t difficult as an English speaker as long as you know the lyrics because there are no sounds in Japanese speech not present in English. The reverse however is not true. Take “ru” and “lu” in English. The Japanese only have る as an equivalent for both of those which is about halfway between them in how your mouth makes those sounds. It is hard to explain.
@@crusaderesper the most noticeable tell for me is that she won't fully pronounce "th", sounding more like "d" or "z" or "t". So maybe I might not have not noticed if she weren't singing "I want it THat way" haha

Its quite noticeable that she's not an English speaker honestly. But her singing is still top notch

After 7 months seeing Hololive and a lot of clips, today i realized why a lot of English people love that much when someone sings.
This can be something obvius for everyone here, but from my perspective, a third language speaker, English and japanese are not too different, mostly in songs. In songs i don't pay too much attention to the lyrics, i don't bother too much about them, but in comments below i saw a discussion about how difficult is for japanese people sing in English and the reaction of the people make me understand the "magic" of this situation xD
And i repeat, yes, i took me to understand this 7 months... I'm bullshit

I've heard a lot of rumors that claim Sui-chan was good at everything but not exceptional at anything which for idols is apparently bad(?) so she gave up and pursued being a vtuber. Whether that is actually true I don't know.
