I’m 77 and been playing professionally since 1964 but it hasn’t always been guitar. In the 60’s I played trumpet in R’n’B groups and there was a period of 13 years when I played only piano in a 950 seat dinner theater but the past few years I’ve just been sight reading guitar parts in the orchestra pit doing Broadway musicals. It’s great that you’re able to make a living playing jazz…..and you definitely deserve it and earned it.
