This is exactly the "Healer anxiety" I have. I main healers, mostly in guild groups and push teams. I've healed up to 25-26's this season, but I still get anxiety queuing up to +18's in pugs. Because there is always that chance you get a group like this, and just ends up going "Umm HEALER!?!" after they die over and over again. The only way I can pug is going in with the mindset of "If you don't interrupt, and give me shit, I protect my own mental health and leave"
good mindset for a healer xD should have it, as a healer myself I've seen plenty of healers just sort of take it out on themselves because of not good enough self-esteem. If THEY are the problem, you probably aren't. The modern m+ system is inherently stressful, and blame-shifting often has more to do with other people's insecurities and healers being an easy scapegoat.
I pushed into the 2900s first with my disc priest pugging the whole way. Just recently I got my resto shaman up to 2900 as well, and boy let me tell you. Resto Shaman is the pug healers dream. You can handle everything. You have a talent / ability to handle any mechanic or affix, your interupts and stuns are some of the best in the game, and the healing through put is excellent. I love restoration shaman, will definitely be mailing it as far as my healers are concerned in fated season 4. Playing resto also helps with comp flexibility since you don't need a DPS with lust.

Was in the same boat with disc priest in my push group, we're not the most coordinated when it comes to kicks and stops, but boy you really miss that extra kick and aoe CC totem when you need it. Switched to Resto shaman and felt like the keys became 2-3 levels easier. Disc shines in perfectly coordinated groups, but really suffers when a single kick or CC is missed. Recently geared my Mistweaver and also amazed by how good it is for pug healing.
you make a really solid point about dispels being hard to see with default UI. it actually blows my mind how bad the default party frames are for both debuff and buff tracking.
i'm quite surprised the group hasn't disbanded, 70 is a lot to bear mentally :) I remember having a run with maybe 30 deaths, and it felt like all we do is die.
Love this! Just a little food for thought, I'd love to see the progression of gear between each video and the upgrades that were made, any insights you've gained on healing with this basic build, what vault you got, etc
I've pug healed a Druid and Sham to 20 keys this expansion. I have no desire to go higher once I hit that lol. The thing about pugs is the group expectations are very lopsided. They expect you to be doing like 100k healing at all times at the snap of a finger while also nailing every affix. You can't rest at all, you basically need to be overhealing or precasting. Shaman felt way better in lower keys because I could stop the trash, but Druid feels better in higher keys because you have so much mobility.
It makes me so mad when I have 3-4 specs with good interrupt abilities on my team and Volleys go off in Rise and WM. Your dps goes to 0 when you die. Which is why I prefer to play MW or rShammy
Surprising. I experienced people from this realm to be mostly very presumptuous and impatient. I usually don't expect Ragnaros players to not get toxic and leave.
Last night I ran an 11 BRH on an alt priest of mine. There was a BM hunter and a Ret paladin that finished under 50k overall with less than 3 kicks as well. The hunter cast kill command 25 times in the whole dungeon, and when I recommended using it more they replied with "I'm good." On the final boss, the tank said "gj guys" after P1 and didn't touch the boss on P2 until it killed me because I casted a smite on it. I genuinely think he thought the dungeon was over. It really is a different world in lower keys...
yep its jungle out there... did a BRH 18 where i ran into an ele shaman ilvl 482 doing under 70k overall dps... and people doing sub 50k is scary with the current ease of obtaining gear... i mean for heavens sake i did 30k+ overall last expansion and we are now 3 seasons into dragonflight and people cant break the 50k barrier...
@@MegaDanishPride I realized I got some keys mixed up, there were actually 2 hunters in this dungeon and not a paladin... but the numbers were still the same. One hunter was 461 and the other was 464. You can do more than healer DPS at those ilvls. The alt is a 470 Holy Priest and I was consistently number 2 or 3 on the damage meters.

Hey there, love the series. Will you come up with a summary of what add-ons you miss the most and why? (In comparison to what usually works fine with the default UI)
The bizarre thing about pugging low keys is the dmg output. I dont know what kind of person that sits behind the keyboard. But by the looks of it sometimes..people cant be pressing any buttons..Ive seen my 8 year old nephew try wow for the first time once.. He was able to push 1-2 buttons and target the mobs etc and move out of stuff ( i told him..Wow 101 is dont stand in shit) and still do more dmg then some of these people jak encounters on his journey. A rotation helper built into the game would help such players i believe.
Low keys start funny haha "they are new" until you start outdpsing people on every key and no items drop for you, then it gets tiring and sad. I curretly only play alts if my guildies are also playing alts, which is kinda sad. I'd like to try some other classes during a patch cycle, but i wont pug any content which needs people to know what they are doing...
This reminded me of a time I was doing a 24 rise on fortified and on trash before last boss we fucked up and I got kicked and my tank whispered to me that I'm boosted. My bad bro ill try to press the hunters and balance druids cds for them next time xd. Plus those 2 barely stacked in my efflo anyway
I play as natty as possible (one too many patch day ui explosions for my sanity) but god the dispels and debuff situation has been frustrating for so many years. Edit mode does a lot of work but I keep looking at the Plater profiles with jealousy…
Wait. I see this is part 3 and I just saw this video not aware of the earlier parts. You mentioned it briefly at one point here but are you in raid talents? Or is this like a full going in blind thing? I don’t want to specifically name talents I see are missing if it’s a blind naturally learning experience
Was running a little 5 with my brother who hasn’t ran many and this entire group kicked once… between him and me we kicked like 35 times. I just don’t get it!
I think the worst amount of deaths I saw in a key was a 15 De other side we had 240 deaths lol was trying to help people get their weekly key in lol or the time I was in a PF for 3 hours lol >.

The higher you go the easier it gets when it comes to avoidable damage especially once you get above 20.

Those people in your pug will surely hit 3k io. They are mentally strong and willing to learn. 70 deaths and no one leave is a statement in itself

How you managed to get people to stay in a run like this is beyond me... In the majority of my runs someone will just drop after 1-2 wipes
