When I was 13, during the summer going into 8th grade my best friend was hit and killed by a drunk driver.. he was only 15 at the time. I was at my lowest, and filled with anger. Just as Joey said he filled the void in Anthony’s family, I did the same thing with my best friends family. It’s a horrible feeling to lose your right hand at such a young age, I don’t wish that on nobody.
This was such an emotional roller coaster. I was dying laughing and then completely broken about the stories but the way he described the relationship and setting the whole scene. Joey is a gifted story teller and I hope we get to see him peak at the art form.
I swear i'm down for a tv comedy/drama series about Joey Diaz's life. It should start with his mother's story from the high school dance in Cuba, until Joey Diaz becomes a successful comedian and starts a real family. Imagine the amount of content they could adapt. Please someone pick this project up!!
