@@alienanxietyit’s worth it to see Walton Goggin’s character… …if I have to lose a Beta to gain a Boyd Crowder/Shane Vendrell character? I will take it anytime 👌👍
I never understood that to begin with. You’ll kill an innocent man but not an innocent woman? Lol. “We don’t kill innocents or children” would be more understandable.
That was SO satisfying hearing Unser say that to Gemma. And yeah, Jax has definitely taken a dark turn; idk why, but Jax’s ruthlessness unsettled me more than Clays. It’s something about Charlie Hunnam facial expressions that are so dark and cold.
I think it’s because he’s so handsome, there might be some cognitive dissonance watching him do “evil” deeds that’s unsettling, even if it’s not necessarily on a conscious level.
It's kinda unbelievable that Jax hasn't even guessed at this point that Clay is the man responsibile. Especially when Pope told him to look internally, you'd think the lightbulb would switch on right there..
It's no secret that Jax is a killer, but I feel this episode, particularly THAT scene, truly highlights how much of a monster he became after Ope died.
The fact the guard runs and leaves his wife tells you how truly weak he is as a person. I was glad he got his for Opie but also because of that leaving his wife behind bit.
Killing the guards wife is one of those reminders we get once in a while about how the Sons really arent good people. Its sometimes easey to forget because they are likeable.
Yup remember tig, chibs and happy were about to kill a 17 year old girl witness in season 1 and a younger jax stopped them, not sure an older jax would do that.
Yeah especially back in season 1 it seemed like they had more of a strict code of ethics but in season. 4 that code was on its way out and once Opie died that code died and after the season 6 finale thsr code is completely buried...
some of them had a moral compass, like Jax for example. I don't remember the words exactly by John Teller but it was something like: not all of us are sociopaths, we may have a problem with authority but we are not savages, at least not all of us. Then John saw that continuing that path of gun traffic would eventually put then all on a path that would make all of them savages, he tried to stop it... the series is about how we can all change into savages the deeper we go into the path of violence instead of mercy. It also shows that freedom from authority may be beautiful but it may also have a big cost.
I know you are way ahead and possibly even done by now so I can say this. This is the first episode that that you really see the absolute rage and darkness that builds In Jax. Opie’s death was a defining moment. Also, Unser told Clay because he’s a cop at heart. He is trying to read Clay’s reaction.
You gotta feel for Roosevelt. You can tell Jax was thinking about him and everything he was going through when he went to Tara about spending time together.
Venus (Walton Goggins) is from The Shield. That was the role that put him on the map. The Shield was written by the same guy that does SOA, Kurt Sutter (Otto). Most of the characters you see in SOA are from The Shield. The main cast in the Shield is Vic Mackey (Micahel Chiklis), Shane (Walton Goggins), Dutch (Jay Karnes), Aceveda (Benito Martinez), Ronnie (David Rees Snell), Lemensky (Kenny Johnson). Michael Chikilis appears in the Last episode of SOA, playing a Truck driver. Walton Goggins plays Venus. Jay Karnes played Tara's stalker that Jax killed. Benito Martinez is the cartel guy that always appears with Danny Trejo David Rees Snell played one of the agents on Potters team. Kenny Johnson played that Sons member that Tig hated. He was killed when he stepped on a landmine. If you haven't seen The Shield, do your self a favor and go watch it now. It's as good as SOA, arguably better.
Hi, you're Mackey, right? I'm Jax, and I do not appreciate you killing my men. Not cool... Not fucking cool. You have no fucking idea how not cool that shit is. But... I think you're going to be up to speed here shortly...
It’s naïveté at best and ignorant at worst to assume that Jax can’t and won’t change despite having witnessed his best friend getting murdered right in front of him, powerless to help him because of circumstances. As dark and twisted as Jax gets to this point, it’s honestly unsurprising. Witnessing undue death and brutality - especially when those you love are the ones who end up being the victims despite their innocence - will twist anyone beyond what they used to be, even if they don’t realize it in the immediate short term. Also, in his own ways, despite having goals of his own, Pope is actually mentoring Jax, which is rather ironic considering that this all occurs when he first takes the role of President. Effectively, as the saying goes, game respects game, and Pope sees a spark in Jax that does make him an effective leader. Jax has the ability to lead, but not the experience. Pope, on the other hand, has both.
17:18 their reaction to Carla shooting herself was the same as my reaction when seeing the Cartel heads flash their CIA/NCS Badges at the RICO meet… 😈😈😈
I really do love Pope as the villain, giving Jax some knowledge here and there.. Unser definitely knows Clay js behind the break ins and was trying to bait him into doing something that will prove it. And if i were him i wouldnt care about dying. His speech to Gemma was 💯 one of my favorite scenes. Gemma needed to hear that years ago. Jax killing that CO just reminds us that despite how much we love the SoA they are not "good" people. Finally, i know Clay is putting on the act but the scene where he goes from looking weak and tired to having that signature scowl was bone chilling. Terrific acting from Ron Pearlman ❤
My guess is that Unser suspected that Clay was involved and was telling him the information to get Clay to react and do something to confirm his suspicions.
I know it’s TV, but as for the shotgun blast in the guard’s kitchen, At that range even bird shot hasn’t spread that much. Games like Doom and other shows would have you believe it can hit everything in the room. I do laugh when shows do that and Unser’s trailer and no one’s ears are ringing after.
@@ronnieh7925 i have never set up a decibel counter outside a house and tried but if it is in a house and by chance the windows are shut, it could muffle the shot enough where no one who does hear it can tell exactly where it came from. it was three blasts though. if it was just one, I could see people taking less notice, but it is the middle of the day. People probably at work.
Just an FYI, because I didn’t see all of the episodes, but I believe that Unser is trying to draw Clay out to prove that he’s the one behind everything. Remember, he was an officer of the law and was trained that way so his mind works in that manner that’s just my guess I could be wrong though.😮😊

Yeah Jax is slipping what he’s doing now is a far cry from the Jax we met in season 1. Clay is a bastard as for Unser he and Clay have a long standing history and its hard to untie especially what he’s done.
The one thing I didn’t like about Nero: A few episodes ago, “where you get this WE shit? This is my business! WE didn’t build Shit!” 🤬Or something like that This episode, “She helped me go legit” 😥

She could make you hate Gemma, but she could also make you feel sorry for her. And we already know the jail guard is a piece of shit for being involved in what happened to Opie, but then he really proves he is a first-class coward by just running out of the house and leaving his wife there with men he knew were there for him. I was like dude, at least be like, 'don't hurt my wife' to show you do have some balls. Also, that musical snow globe is a weapon of mass destruction. That thing bashed a skull in and didn't break. It paved the way, along with Sopranos and The Wire, for shows like Breaking Bad and SOA. It's very underrated and kind of forgotten. It would be awesome to see you guys react to it. There is literally only one reactor here on YT reacting to it and his reactions suck. You guys would be great.
He was In True Blood! I ❤Harold Actor Who Plays Pope , I ❤ him From Lost & The Matrix OR 1996 Version Of Romeo & Juliet With Claire Danes , John Leguizo!😵💫😫😭🫣🥰🖥💔
And along with my last comment, the character Otto is nobody to be messed with he lost everything he has nothing left to lose he’s been betrayed and he’s been used and that’s not a good place for anyone to be😢.
In defense of Tig, who is a deeply flawed character, he's pretty subservient, especially to Clay. Killing Donna was him carrying out an action on Clay's orders, and it was never meant to be her, but Opie. He also wasn't trying to kill Pope's daughter, he was trying to kill her boyfriend to avenge Clay, who pinned the crime on "black" as he is one to do. It keeps getting him into dreadful situations because he's given his unwavering loyalty to a scumbag. Now he's finally pledged that allegiance to Jax.
@@ronnieh7925 I’m not disputing that. But he’s a *human* scumbag. Rather than just being a generic bad guy they give us glimpses into his past, how he was abused, how he’s a bit like a beaten dog. It made him like that, and his actions aren’t justifiable, but you can still feel for him.
All reactors do it. I think it’s part of having a reaction channel. It keeps you from just sitting there in silence which doesn’t make for a very good “reaction”. It does get kinda cringey though.

In particular a gang unit called the Strike Team. It's one of the best shows ever made.
I can't remember her name but she should've killed Gemma and then herself. Would've saved a lot of lives
And along with my last comment, the character Otto is nobody to be messed with he lost everything he has nothing left to lose he’s been betrayed and he’s been used and that’s not a good place for anyone to be😢.
Y’all should watch Fargo
Just a note... you can stop with the Prospect shirt. You guys earned your top rocker the day they buried Opie.
I like the shirt and spoiler alert, I wear it a lot all the way into S7
@@NikkiStevenReact Was just noting... its like GOT... Sweet Summer Child until the Red Wedding....with SOA, you ride Prospect until Opie dies.
No happy endings.
So... just like the CO he was following orders, right? He's loyal and subservient, that's fine. Doesn't make him any less of a scumbag.
The foreshadowing of all the wives dying for future episodes.
# the peter jackson masterpice "Meet the Feebals".

Join the discord if you’re curious about scheduling
Lol not to be mean but their commentary makes me cringe sometimes. They have a tendency to just state the obvious alot.
All reactors do it. I think it’s part of having a reaction channel. It keeps you from just sitting there in silence which doesn’t make for a very good “reaction”. It does get kinda cringey though.
Not to be mean? 😂😂
