Almost everyone you interview on this channel seems so switched on. I'm trying to find the right words, I don't know if 'switched on' encapsulates it. I think I mean there's a sort of bravery and a single-mindedness about it, stepping away from the conventional life. It invariably seems to be for their own well-being, mental health and all that stuff. I'm just so glad for all these people that they've been able to disengage from the system. The 'dream' that we're sold - mortgaged to the hilt, working silly hours to pay for it - just isn't worth it. And so long as you're awake, you don't need dreams 😉 Look inwardly, think about what you actually need, not what somebody else says you need, and live your life accordingly. Inspiring stuff, yet again.
Totally agree with so much of what you say about the freedom and simplicity of living in a vehical. We’ve lived in a 1977 Bedford school bus in different parts of Australia for the past 4 years. Sometimes we are moving every day, sometimes we spend a few months somewhere, following the sun and jobs. Keep on keeping on, I say, who needs a house when you’ve got a lovely home (on wheels!)
The issue with these kinds of conversations is you never see anyone over 50 living in these. eventually, you need to move into a house. I'd love to see some older people who are still living like this. The same can be said with people with disabilities, you rarely se any van life folk with disabilities. I think that would be a super interesting thing to see a channel look into.
sad to dissapoint, but a millenial who spends 5-10$ at starbucks every day will likely never even afford this if you set goals and save on rent, no holiday trips all the stuff, you have enough within 5 years to stop renting a place and spend the "rent" on the truck payment and get a nicer rig.... hate whatever you want, i want a truck one way or the other, there are paypffs to be made 😂
Nice truck for sure, I guess as a show truck it wasn't abused at all, total bargain! I saw someone in the comments saying about dvla and insurance, I think he was a bit off the mark as a van/truck can be classed as modified or in conversion as long as everything is written down for the insurance, the dvla hardly let anyone register as a self converted motor home anymore as they want to regulate (moneytise) everything. With a van it's normally called a van with windows by the dvla. As far as full time live in insurance goes, it's only if you're 365 days a year, it's all a bit sketchy around the address issue. Anyway, good luck 🍀
yeah dude as long as you don't charge the lithium and led acid together with the same voltage amperage or discharge at the same time. those are the main problems. otherwise sweet setup

Inspiring stuff, yet again.
Very low miles for a merc truck aswell
Totally agree with so much of what you say about the freedom and simplicity of living in a vehical. We’ve lived in a 1977 Bedford school bus in different parts of Australia for the past 4 years. Sometimes we are moving every day, sometimes we spend a few months somewhere, following the sun and jobs. Keep on keeping on, I say, who needs a house when you’ve got a lovely home (on wheels!)
A 7,5 isn't a hgv can drive on normal car license if your a certain age or if younger you need to sit a test to allow you to drive but it's. Not a hgv
Has a taco why I explained
The issue with these kinds of conversations is you never see anyone over 50 living in these. eventually, you need to move into a house. I'd love to see some older people who are still living like this. The same can be said with people with disabilities, you rarely se any van life folk with disabilities. I think that would be a super interesting thing to see a channel look into.
Lots of retirees even in their 80s live in vans and rvs fulltime in the US. 🇺🇸
@@summerstardust2064 and narrow boats, Im 60 and selling up and buying a narrowboat
What a glorious colour! You won't miss it in a car park. Looks very comfortable. Enjoy the new lifestyle, sounds great.
Awesome totally loving everything about this enjoy mate 👍🏻 👌👏 stay safe ...colin.
For many millennials this is the only option
sad to dissapoint, but a millenial who spends 5-10$ at starbucks every day will likely never even afford this
if you set goals and save on rent, no holiday trips all the stuff, you have enough within 5 years to stop renting a place and spend the "rent" on the truck payment and get a nicer rig....
hate whatever you want, i want a truck one way or the other, there are paypffs to be made 😂
This guy is totally in denial. Seen it often. I guess we all do it a bit.
I ran into these guys this summer, spent a few days swimming, chilling out, good times
Brilliant, thanks for the tour and the ideas for our future project. Like you say, bills...what are they haha. Perfect
Hats off to you brother, no more living for the man, but living for yourself and realising there is another life besides the rat race!....👏🏽🙏🏾
Nope they are connected and charge and discharge together
I travelled England + Scotland in a canpervan for 5 months continues, The best places to stay are down narrow lanes especially in Somerset. This could be a problem in a orange truck.
