令我想起上世纪六七十年代在广东农村的童年。秋收完后， 天气渐凉，晚上明月高挂，村里老少聚在晒谷场上乘凉；从田洞远处吹来的习习微风，轻轻地拂过着鱼塘边的古榕；水牛安静的躺在树下休息， 咀嚼反刍； 长者聊家常，少年听讲古， 儿童在嬉戏， 充满欢乐， 一片祥和。
《彩云追月》是广东音乐的著名曲目 [1-2] ，其风格轻快独特，描写了小市民平凡生活的轻松写意，彰显了典型的广东民间音乐风格 。早见于清代，李鸿章任两广总督时曾将此曲抄送大内演奏。
曲名“彩云追月”的寓意是仙人驾五彩祥云奔向月宫。中国古典文学著作当中常有仙人驾彩云的描述，曲名当中的“彩云”意指仙人驾彩云。这首曲子是描写人们心目中的月宫仙境，烘托了小市民平凡生活的轻松写意。
1932年，任光在上海百代唱片公司任节目部主任时，同聂耳一起，为百代国乐队定了一批民族管弦乐曲并灌制唱片，《彩云追月》就是其中的一首，被改编为民族管弦乐曲。
