Had an 84 Mercury Cougar in 1984. The exterior, colors, materials inside look the same. Mine had power windows and driver's seat though. Above glove box was a brushed aluminum look on the Cougar and of course that vertical, rear, roof line. Awesome condition for such an early 80's T-Bird. These were still new styling in 1984 with the radical rounded look and extreme rear roof on the Cougar to differentiate them. What a super cool opportunity for someone. Like blasting back to 1984!
Looks like the 83 that I almost bought on Halloween 1983. Gray interior. It was a base model like this one, but it had a factory moonroof, power seats, windows, doors locks, and tilt.cruise and AM/FM cassette. Black with red pinstripe. Beautiful. Five Thunderbirds later, I still have my 85 Elan with the 5.0 V-8. I like the brushed look on the Cougars dash better.
These drive really nice. This one looks like it has a carburetor. They did have a recall on the ford 3.8 for blowing head gaskets so thats something to consider
About five years ago, there was another 84 Thunderbird for sale. It had about 5000 original miles on it. It was sort of an enigma. 5.0 V-8, AM/FM stereo. It had the articulated leather bucket seats like the turbo coupe. No options other than that. No, A/C, no power windows, locks, seats, nothing. Black with gray interior
Attention!!!! Unfortunately, all petrol cars will soon be banned in the EU and the USA! In France there is a new law prohibiting combustion engine cars called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland the HESCHLAVVO law! In the Scandinavian countries there will soon be a so-called SMORVERBIDEN law) for Germany there will probably be a federal exhaust gas ban ordinance BABVVO and TEBBVO from 2027. In California the CARB just banned all gas cars!!!
I never submitted or consented to licensure to travel upon public roadways, which is a right and not a privilege in America. So I won’t need to comply.
That 3.8L Essex V-6 was a big lump of head gasket blowing garbage can I would pull that crappy Essex V-6 out and put in a crate Ford 5.0L H.O. 302CID V-8 EFT from 1987-1993 in it.
The car is gorgeous but you gotta work on your filming and speaking. You're rushing all around the car and saying look at this look at that. We're already looking, we're here watching the video.

Yes. It's not. But one who is interested in this car isn't buying it for the performance but rather for the originality and over all condition with the low miles.
My first new car 40 years ago. It was a super car. Ford puts it on wheels!
How long did you keep it?

Nice; I love time capsule cars.
Sweet car man
It's actually our managers car. He's had it for a long time. If you drive it feels like you're back in 1980s. Thanks!!

Beautiful
it is incredible there is almost none of this generation left.
What's the price?
I like this car
What are you asking for it?
With 2,500 miles I would expect everything to be perfect.
$22,000?
Imagine if that was the 5.0 in that condition because ford starting putting the 5.0 in the T birds and cougars.

Fun fact those wheels are foam
Nice clean car but not very collectible. Maybe if a 5.0 or the 2.3 turbo was under hood.
