Every single Air Supply song is unbelievably good. Honestly. This guys voice and that band?! Absolute magic.
It was weird to see the video. He looked like Conway Twitty!! Air Supply is awesome!! 🔥💥💯
Agreed.
This was a hit for every teenager in the 1980’s.
You have to do All out of love and even the nights are better and lost in love.
Every teenager in the 80’s knows these songs
Absolutely ❤😊❤
They started in early 70s. Always a fabulous band
Sweet Dreams, theme for my junior/senior prom❤️❤️❤️
And REO Speedwagon. Could there be teen romance without these two bands?
Wow! Haven't listened to Air Supply in ages. They have some good stuff. Here I am,
Every woman in the world, Lost in Love,All out of Love ❤️ and a few more. Also still touring 40 years later.
🙌💯 Yes! This is the soundtrack of my teens ❤️💐
@@goosebump801 me too!
These songs spoke true love to my teenage girl heart in the 80s! ❤️🔥🥰😍
We had real talent. Our musicians played and our singers SANG!! I pity current generations. Thank God they have our music to fall back on
So many of us totally share your sentiments 😊
I hate this sentiment. I'm in my 50's and I find plenty of new music that has everything that the music I grew up with had. Yes, there is a lot more crap to sort through --- but great stuff is out there if you are willing to take the time and look for it. A lot of it isn't that hard to find either.
best music ever, current generation will never know
I agree. I also find it a bit sad and a bit pathetic that they can't write their own songs and have to "sample" music from our time. Are there no song writers anymore either?
It was definitely the best of times 😊
Air Supply - REO Speedwagon - Supertramp - Little River Band. Some of the best music ever made in my era! 🤠
This song was written by Jim Steinman who wrote most of Meatloaf’s songs. I’ve been to 3 of their concerts, so great , they were outside in amphitheater all three times and had a laser show outstanding!!!
Didn’t know that. Just saw your reply after I commented that it reminds me of Meatloaf more than Queen. 🤣
Meat Loaf
Since YOUR A REMEMBER and if you do AGREE how about PUTTING a BUG in HIS EAR ask him to react to BRYAN ADAMS
I came here to say the Steinman/Meatloaf thing...
Hooked after hearing them just one time. Such a pure powerful voice
Over forty years later and his voice still sounds the same. They are still touring together. Saw them a few years ago.
I’ve also seen them a few times over the years they’re still doing pretty good. my mom really liked them a lot so I took her to a concert back in the late 90s she absolutely loved it.
The gist of the video is they met when he got out of the Army and had a kid, but it seems he never wanted to settle down, the baby toy reminded him he was trapped. But she was "Making Love" (A family type love) out of nothing at all, he wanted to rebel, she was the glue holding the family together. Surely a playlist song, its a song that praises the wife's hard job of parenting, and being a good wife. Look at the words it becomes more apparent, videos are mostly dumb tbh.
thanks for this. I'm GenX but I never really understood the gist of the song or video.
Same, I always thought he was referring to Her making love out of nothing. As if she was just there going through the motions without loving him.. I had never seen this video either so, that helps put it in to perspective too. Thank you!
I can't lie. I'm baffled by the lyrics and the video together. I thought I understood the lyrics, but the video seems completely opposite to my interpretation of them. Unless he's singing her part. Then it makes sense.
@@Abri412 I think that IS it. It's the only way it makes sense ... but the video doesn't help cause we connect man to man visually and that doesn't work.
They have so many hits. 'Lost in love', 'Even the nights are better', 'Every woman in the world', 'Two less lonely people'...
I can't believe this song made me cry. I'm reminded of roller skating in the 80's with the girl that would become my wife. She passed away of cancer in 2014. In a way I'm glad she passed first. I would never want her to feel this pain for 10 years and 46 days...
What incredible love. I’m so sorry for your loss.
So sorry for your loss 😢😢😢
I'm so sorry
Air supply do the best ballads of all groups.
I played the cassette of their Greatest Hits until it stretched out. ❤ Saw them in concert in a tiny venue about 10 years ago & cried like a baby through it. I was sitting next to my mom & we sang our hearts out. She’s been gone a few years now. Thank you so much for the memories this reaction just gave me in vivid detail.
“ALL OUT OF LOVE” is absolutely beautiful from them. 😊❤
Air Supply was played at all of our proms in the 80's! I love Air Supply.
Couples mixed tapes 😁
But
I also have the scene in the movie CLICK ... with the dog and duck 😂😂
Air Supply.... unique group with feels from Queen, Meatloaf and Styx.....
When ya think "80s love songs" this is definitely top 10 and the vibe your think of...this was the 80s.
Oh my word...we have made it to Air Supply. 😃
😂😅😂
80s in the house
But
I also have the scene on the movie CLICK with the puppy and the stuffed duck 😂🤣
First red flag is him standing there and not helping
yup!!!!
I was thinking that, too. He took way too long to help and only seemed to do so when he saw how pretty she was.
@Morgaine lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed.
Big time!
yeah that was shocking, but! it was a video about how no matter what she was trying to 'make love' out of nothing at all. too many women and men in those kind of relationships (I know of some) and it's saddening.
All of their songs are absolutely amazing. My favorite is “Two Less Lonely People in the World.”
This was the sountrack for every young teen girl in the 80s.
Air Supply were pretty much Kings of easy listening or light rock for the 80's and beyond.
They are Australian, still playing & were huge in the late 70’s & 80’s. Every song is amazing but the one that made them huge was Lost in Love. Then there’s All Out of Love & Every Woman in the World. Their voices are amazing.
I hate this video but love them and have seen them twice on their current tour. Still amazing in their 70’s! Sweet Dreams might fit better in your playlist.
Air Supply hasn't put out a bad song. Most are love songs & have the word "LOVE" in the title. Listen to All Out of Love next!
You've started with their best song, as it's the only one written by Jim Steinman, the brilliant songwriter who brought you everything you've heard so far from Meat Loaf, in addition to Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler and It's All Coming Back to Me Now, by Celene Dion. All amazing, orchestral songs you should check out.
Thanks for sharing that. And yeah he's got to listen to that song Total eclipse. He's going to be blown away at that one and the backstory...
It's the pure poetry of those Air Supply Song Lyrics. Every Star In the Sky is taking aim at your eyes like a spotlight... The beating of my heart is a drum and it's lost and it's looking for a rhythm like you. Awesome
Air Supply is a duo from Australia 🦘. A majority of their career saw slower ballads yet a great up tempo song is called Sweet Dreams. The keyboard intro is amazing. The main vocalist is named Russell Hitchcock.
One of my all time favorite songs and bands. His voice is just unatched. Pure talent..
Their first hit "Lost in Love" was absolutely beautiful. There is a video up of them live, complete with orchestra, where you can see that Russell Hitchcock's voice is one of those rarities that hits every note without flaw. His voice was amazing and so dreamy to listen to. Can't tell you how happy you and other reactors make me when you dig back into the oldies so thank you.
Can we take note of the two drummers in the background of this video? Two!! These guys were awesome back in the day and they are still awesome in 2024. The vocal talent, the writing, the delivery. There needs to be more music like this nowadays. We need more songs about Love!!
If you want to impress mama, check out Kenny Rogers: Lady. He first performed it when you were about 6 months old, but it still holds up for our wives. Enjoying it. Makin' Love Out Of Nothing At All.
Looks like he just dropped that one.
His voice is stunning and mesmerizing!
They both sang and was a good combination ... 80s mixed tape for sure😎
Just gotta put this out there, one of the best "pick up lines" in a song..."the beating of my heart is drum and its lost and it's lookin for a rhythm like you".❤
Absolutely! 💯
Check out their "All Out Of Love", too.
" every woman in the world "Lost in Love" "Even the nights" more awesome hits!
Air Supply is an Australian band
The lead singer still has the voice to belt out those high notes and the band is still touring these days. Always loved their songs.
Singing along with Air Supply is the best way to work off stress. Trying to hit those high notes, is like yelling at all the stupid people and things that stress me out. I have them on my playlist for this purpose.
Yo Black I'm sooooo HAPPY you found Air Supply they're UHMAZING!!!!! They DOMINATED 80's Soft Pop, Adult Contemporary EVERYTHING they touched went to gold. One of the best IF NOT THE BEST GROUP out of Australia any thing you listen to from them I guarantee you will like
These guys are amazing in concert. I saw them in Biloxi, MS several years ago. They are in tune with the audience and they actually come and interact with the audience while singing the songs. By far, the most respectful humble singers around. Worth seeing in person.
I love this song so much but it always makes me cry 😭😭 my first fiance went to the army unfortunate circumstance that happened to me I don't want to discuss it on RUclips about 5 to 7 years ago an 18-wheeler crashed his car and he died instantly back when I used to be on Facebook I found out about it that way this is a beautiful reaction thank you so much I do still have beautiful memories put this song is always going to make me cry take care shadow
🙏
How ironic. Hadn't thought of Air Supply in many many years, and just yesterday my brother's girlfriend posted how much fun they had at Air Supply's concert in Chicago a few days ago and I
asked if they played this song.
The singers name is Russell Hitchcock. He has an amazing voice. The other half of Air Supply is Graham Russell. He plays guitar background singer, and writes most the songs. I absolutely love them, which is funny because I would normally listen to rock music. My mom and sister would always laugh because my favorite bands were Air Supply Alice Cooper Pink Floyd, and the scorpions.❤️✌️🌼
I always listen to Air Supply when I am depressed.
I played it off back n the day... listen to it with my thoughts... but it didn't hit til I grew up 🥹
If there was a song that should not be interrupted... this is it!
Love Air Supply!! They were kinda like Journey, Foreigner etc.. But softer. Still remember all these songs played at our school! ❤🔥💥💯
Air Supply has 2 vocalist. The other is the Guitarist. Also most of their songs were to one another! Air Supply has some of greatest love songs ever written. Ironically they were wrote to each other.
One of the most beautiful songs ever written ❤
MASTERS OF THE POWER BALLAD !!! FROM AN 80'S TEEN !!!
Am I the only one who got a giggle out of youtube recommending one of his own videos to him?
Thanks for your reaction! This song was written by Jim Steinman (the man that wrote all of Meatloaf's songs) as most of Air Supply's songs are. Sad that Jim Steinman wrote the best power ballads of the 1980's for different artists and most people don't realize it or even know who Jim Steinman is- I wish he received more recognition.
I absolutely love Air Supply. So many great songs!
As a retired Marine Corps, disabled Veteran poor reflection of a Marine! Smoking while walking, hands in pockets and chewing gum. I agree with the video.
Air Supply song to impress your lady - Every Woman In The World or The Power Of Love. They had an entire greatest hits album that was mostly ballads.
BP I like watching your reactions, their honest, funny, serious when needed to be. Keep doing what your doing, don't let the haters get to you. This from a 68 yr old white man. Glad you are discovering and enjoying music from my generation. 👍
Man, I think your doing a helluva job. Keep on and I'll keep watching.
Wow!! I’m 54 and Air Supply was my first concert. Amazing vocals. A friend in Mexico told me they are having a concert here soon 😳
When my first boyfriend dumped me, I was working in an office and one of the guys had a radio on his desk and this song came on and I started crying. Someone threw a stapler at him and told him to change the station. HAHAHA... But I love me some Air Supply! Great react. :D
You can tell it is a Jim Steinman song, the music is so close to Total eclipse of the heart (another Steinman song) it just sounds like the lyrics have been changed.
Air Supply was always a guilty pleasure for me. They are still touring and still sound great. It's funny they are the definition of yacht rock, but the high tenor singer is all tatted up and looks more metal than most metal singers.
Saw them in concert a few years ago. They put on a fantastic show.. Most of their songs are songs of love. Thanks for reacting to Air Supply. 👏👏🥰
Written and composed by Jim Steinman, who wrote for Meat Loaf. Distinctive sound.
Soft rock in the 80s was amazing…this song is a date night song. Karaoke night.
I love Air Supply, such a great group and even saw them live several years back. This the era of music I was raised on
Air Supply was a band very important in my junior high/high school years. A break up- listen to Air Supply- is how my friends coped! Beautiful music! My sister and I are going to see them in concert in June, and we are so excited!
I love it when reactors like yourself are obviously watching the video.
My husband and I just seen them in Cherokee NC, they are in their 70's and still sound the same and one awesome concert!!
Oh, man, I didn’t know they were there. I would’ve gone. I’ve loved Air Supply since I was a teen.
They're still touring! Love them!
Took my daughter to see them 10 years ago. She was 16 then. Now, she goes to see them with her friends ❤
Air Supply are a soft rock duo formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, consisting of Englishman Graham Russell and Australian Russell Hitchcock. Peace out.
I love Air Supply and they were great in concert but it was the most mellow concert ever. Almost all their song are beautiful ballads.
Great reaction!
Air supply is awesome. Love this song so much! Love your reaction!
🇬🇧 "All Out Of Love" by Air Supply was another huge hit. 🎶
I love Air Supply
Air supply are Australian hence the Rugby quotes this was a song from my youth. I am South African and that is why this song hits home for me. Freakin awesome. This and Bonnie Tyler Total Eclipse of the heart came out around the same time both legendary and rocked my soul back then and were good friends to me , my first Girlfriend and my first wife...
the "rugby" comments are relevant to American football, too.
"tackle" "Stadium rock" "whistle blows". All a part of that iconic sport as well. But I get what you're saying them being Aussie and all.
that is what was great about the 70s/80s muzik it was all natural /pure voices were not faked lie the last 25 yrs with the autotne created 1997.. the muzik always were story teller songs....
Memories of my mom driving me to soccer practice. in our big yellow van... this song was on the radio everytime we turned it on, when I was a kid. Not really my thing today, but he has a great voice. They play this at work sometimes and it struck me that his tone reminds me of Davy Jones from the Monkeys..
You gotta check out “Sweet Dreams” from Air Supply. It’s a song with so special a meaning for me that I always tell my Sweetie, “Sweet Dreams, my Love” every night that I’m away from her.
And all the waiters at Carraba’s… said, “ yep”. They had beautiful songs and ballads.
You might notice there is a very big meat loaf vibe with this song. That’s because it was written by Jim Steinman who wrote most of meat loaf’s songs
I’ve still got this on vinyl.
Kids are like "Why is it on the floor???" hahahahaha
haven't hear this in a minute
My favorite Air Supply is All out of Love
My husband and I listened to this album over and over in his dorm room in 1974;)
Next time you watch Air Supply, take note of Graham playing guitar. He's self taught and left handed, so he taught himself how to play a regular guitar left-handed, which means it's UPSIDE DOWN. They're amazing in concert.
Welcome to my favorite band of the early 80s ♥️
You can tell by the piano at the start. Jim Steinman song. Legendary.
They are so beloved in Asia... its a karaoke must....lol.
Air Supply rocked! His voice is crazy! Definitely up there with Steve Perry.
All these high school flashbacks are so fun!
Congrats my friend on the new baby comin!!! How exciting 😀, thank ya B.P. for all the great bring backs!!! Love your channel ❤️ love Aiŕ Supply!!! ❤️
Fleetwood Mac, The Chain... live version from The Dance tour in 1997. It's a song from the 70s, definitely playlistable and workout worthy.
I LOVE Air Supply, they are a great band.
I've always loved Air Supply
This duo was a huge part of my pre teen and teen years. You should check out Sweet Dreams (1982 version), The One that You Love, and All Out of Love in which Graham does a lot of the singing, not just Russell. Oh, and Lost in Love.
JIM STEINMAN FOREVER -- sooo much love -- there are other, earlier versions - great song
You can always tell a song that is written by Jim Steinman. His sound is so good but so dramatic. Watch any Meatloaf song by Jim and you know. Watch the video by Bonnie Tyler - "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and more. The man's talent was crazy but there is a style to it.
Air Supply has so many great hits. One of the best..
Oh man. So many amazing Air Supply songs.
I saw these guys in concert last year...
They are still so amazing and have those same great voices! They are a band formed in Melbourne, Australia. The blonde is a Graham Russell (73 years old, originally from England) and on lead vocals is Russell Hitchcock (74, from Australia).
Air Supply is amazing and still touring today. Great Reaction
