I bought the Pagani from the Pagani store on Ali Express on the 11/11 sale for £84. 12th December they messaged me to say that it had got lost in transit but they would be sending another by expedited delivery to ensure it arrived in time for Christmas. It arrived 22nd December- what a great service! This is my second Pagani ( also have the Daytona homage) and they are amazing value.
I just got the PHYLIDA with the PT5000. I'm absolutely amazed by this watch, the bezel has no play at all, the bracelet is fine but the milled clasp is bent and has a pin falling out. I will say, if you re ordered this watch, with the PT5000 movement and other upgrades they have done, I think it would win hands down.
Thats not good at all about the clasp, I'd expect much better! Glad you're happy with the specs, if they pt5000 was around when I bought mine I would have snatched it up

Very helpful review. Slightly smaller case size and shorter lug-to-lug can make a significant difference in wearability. Your review makes that very clear. With the added availability of a color matched date wheel, the Phylida would be my choice. Thank you.
The fake escape valve of the Phylida puts me off completely. In general the Phylida is really a knock off of the real deal. The Pagani tries to behave more as a homage watch, with some solutions that are in my opinion quite attractive and interesting. Pity that the quality is what it is and the price is unreasonably higher than the previous Pagani watches, since the costumer ultimately does not get anything more than what was getting with models such the subby homage or the GMT or the daydate, all of them well below the 100 usd threshold.
I picked up the Pagani on the rubber tstrap for $85 which was pretty good value to me. Does it stack up to higher priced watches for finishing? No, it doesn't even stack up to an SKX let alone a Captain Cook or an actual Omega, nor would I reasonably expect it to But it has no hotspots, looks nice, has a relable movement and is comfortable. Is it a rocking deal that I can wear without giving a second thought about while mowing the lawn or painting the fence? Yes.
Thats pretty much one of the only ones that uses a Chinese movement, only because they need that fake tourbillon in it...the sub 40mm, sub 43mm, yachtmaster and datejust homages all use the NH35. The GMT however uses a Chinese gmt movement.
I went for the Phylida with a pt1000 movement and love it. The look is so close to Omega except for the date wheel which is white on black so it’s discreet and barely noticeable. No viewing window, just like Omega.👍 I did fit a tan riveted strap with reducing width and it looks great!!!
Hi Jason. I'd like to add my story please. Before seeing your review I bought the Pagani Design. It doesn't have the touch of red in the dial like the Phylida does as an homage to the Omega, and it doesn't have the helium escape valve (if I'm correct). The Pagani Design is really good regarding both build quality and the Seiko movement. Then I saw a review of the Paulareis (another strange branding). It has a Chinese automatic Tongji movement, you get a shark mesh strap and a Bond NATO strap thrown in. To me it looks like the Phylida, especially the handset which I believe is more like the original watch. With the extra strap the Paulareis was £20.02. Al, at Time For Another Watch, said even if the movement is no good, you at least get two decent straps out of the deal. Of course it remains to be seen how long the movement lasts. The Paulareis has the faux valve and the red notes on the dial. All I can say is that the power reserve is not that brilliant but it's getting a lot more wrist time than the Pagani because to my eyes it looks more like the real deal, despite the quality of the Pagani bezel being undoubtedly better. So, I have two, and won't be buying the Phylida which, to be fair, probably has the better detail of the two that you reviewed, and very similar quality, which the Paulareis will lack. An automatic for 20 quid though! You can't moan if it works and it's doing ok. Thanks for the review.
I prefer the Phylida. ❤ I have several watches from them (2x Speedmaster (1x with logo, 1x without logo); 1x Speedmaster TinTin (with logo); 1x Milgauss (with logo) and this watch (with logo). And I have several bracelets, too! 🥰 I will buy a few other watches in future! Philyda got my absolute favorite brand in the „under 500€ section“ ❤ I love Phylida watches really much and they are damn good watches for a very good price! I can‘t say anything negativ and until now everything was fine and nearly perfect for me! 🤗🥳

(apparently not discounted for the 11.11 sale)

I think PD gets it completely wrong with the lack of consistency of the fauxtina colour, sword hands, and way the bracelet joins the case/exposed ends of the first link. Phylida, with the arrowhead, consistent fauxtina, and contrast of the red text/second hand looks the part. I do however prefer the date window on the PD. @@JasonTheWatchGuy If it was just the bezel, I'd probably be able to forgive it. The main issue is those protruding links on the bracelet. I've been speaking to Pagani about all the issues, I'm currently waiting to hear back about that in particular.
I prefer the Phylida, but I'd much prefer a silent running watch, so on the issue of that, I'd go for the Pagini. However, I have seen a few people complain about the bezel issue. Hopefully, they have sorted the bezel out now as it is December 2021, so would be good to see an update!

On the Ali page the Phylida 007 now shows the date window backed in black with a white number. I hope this is true since I am about to buy one. Just not sure if the PT5000 movement is worth a 42EUR upgrade...
Does the Phylida bracelet fit on the Pagani though? I picked up the Pagani with the fitted rubber strap (which is really nice) but it would be nice to have a bracelet option. It's a nice beater watch when I'm bored of wearing my SKX.

To see both watches side by side makes it much more easier to decide which one to choose! 👍 The Pagani Design is by far my favorite because it's using some own elements like the hands. Also the size of 42mm and the colour of the numbers on the bezel I like on Pagani mutch more. So this 2 points would go in my case also to Pagani. The Phylida doesn't look like a Homage watch anymore, it's more like a copy of the Omega, however with fake functions like the not even working helium escape valve. I just like the bracelet of the Phylida more however I will get a vintage brown leather strap anyway. Thank you one more time for the great review! Now I'm sure I can order the Pagani!

The healing release valve on that watch actually is functional. It’s not just there for cosmetic appearance. However is a lot simpler than the real omegas
Phylida case, hands and face but with Pagani brand logo, the new bezel, lume and NH35 movement and Pagani minute track with a Vostock mesh bracelet. I'd buy that!
How much time do you think it will take them to fix the bezel issue on the Pagani? I was planning to buy now but I think I'll have to wait a couple of months maybe?

I went with the Pagani. The movement, better lume did it for me - I really like the NH35a, a lot, for budget watches. The bezel fitment turned out to be horrible on mine, it clicks and moves up and down on the case. But it looks really good, it’s a watch I can put on and not worry AT ALL about thrashing it, at $120 it’s a great deal IMO. The bracelet is much nicer than budget Seikos, although that’s not saying much. The size and fit for my 7” wrist is perfect. Just really chuffed at how good this is for the price. I don’t think my bougie friends will know it isn’t a Seamaster - only the indices give it away, they just look a little budget, if you have an expensive watch you’ll know what I mean, this just lacks that indices bling factor. It’s nice to have a nice looking watch that I don’t worry about.

Hallo Jason, Thanks for the interesting review. I want to buy a homage watch from Omega 007 Seamaster but I don't know which watch, the Bilger or Phylida. Which is the better watch.
What decides it for me is the fake helium valve. It’s my least favorite part of the genuine Omega-I think it screws up the lines and virtually no one needs that release. So to put a fake one on the Phylida is game over for me. I bought the Pagani with the rubber band which is way nicer looking than the metal strap to me. I also love the open display back, the better domed crystal, and the better lume. To me, this is 10-0 or 9-1 Pagani. But everyone’s opinion is their own and I get why folks would prefer a more accurate homage.
As you say, everyone's opinion is their own! I get the points and if i was given the choice I'd go back and get the rubber band it looks so much better.
I have the Bliger (terrible name) Seamaster homage (not 007) - good build quality, keeps good time and very good bezel action - it hacks and has the helium escape valve - think its the cheaper movement
The only Bliger I have any experience with is the Explorer homage and that is a really solid watch for not a lot of money. Id be really interested to know how the Bliger and Phylida Explorers compare .
Great dual review! I really appreciate the comparison and your thoughts on the two watches. I lean towards the Phylida with the Chinese movement and (importantly) the color-matched date wheel. Not a fan of the "helium escape valve"...if it serves no real function, I'd rather they left it off! Looking forward to watching your vids!

great comparrison. I side with you for sure. a few notes about the Phylida. the Chinese movement is the DG2813, I have this in my collection and it's been a great movement. I believe it's a bi-directional rotor, so no rotor whirl...at least mine is quiet enough that I don't notice it. Still not an NH35, but better than the Miyota (I hate the miyotas so much) I have the White seamaster on order from Phylida with the chinese movement...so I'll comment about this in my review. the Miyota versions now come with a black date wheel! both solid options, but I'm with you Jason. Phylida all the way!
I've ordered their Milgauss homage and I've done the exact same. The Miyotas just aren't for me unfortunately! Have you seen their rose gold edition? Looks amazing

Hating the rotor noise is understandable, but I happen to actually like that noise. Random times throughout the day I hear whir whir whir zzip!, and this brings a smile to my face as I remember I am using cutting edge technology from the 70's. My wrist, at least, is off the grid. This is a time approximating machine, not a computer that occasionally pings another computer to get the exact time from somewhere in the internet ether. I can always look at my phone if I need to know the time to the half second, but I can glance at my wrist and know it is "about 3 oclock" or whatever. Hacking is just not important unless you are running within 2 or 3 seconds per day anyway.
Thanks for the comparison video. Went for the Phylida after seeing it. Great looking and wearing watch. Smaller size, seamaster style hands were key factors for me. Also Phylida offered version with black color matched date wheel. Quality is great for the price.
One of the stores has a get the watch with both bracelet and gel strap, so you can have both for a reasonable price (I think it was $135). Something to check out if you were going to look for another strap to buy with the bracelet watch anyway. The gel strap looks nice, and seems to have a nice clasp on it.
There are some serious JJ Abrams style lens flares in this video. I completely agree with your thoughts on the Miyota 8000 series movement. Ive had a couple of watches with them and I really hate the way they sound and feel. I think Parnis uses a modified or updated version in some of their watches. I had a Datejust for a while that im pretty sure it had a Miyota 8000 series but it hacked and was much quieter.

Earnings are usually secondary for me, thats what works for, this is fun haha! I'm from Liverpool in the North West of England. Always wanted to visit Germany, hopefully I'll get around to it when the world is out of lockdown.

I have a later, non-Bond, Pagani version. It’s the watch I wear most, white dial, ceramic bezel. Even bought a black sailcloth strap to change the look.
if this phylida is like the unbranded model i got from ali express last year, i would not count on the screw in crown working very long--mine went out in a month or two. it is a very attractive watch and bracelet, and keeps good time if you wind it daily--supposed to be automatic but dies on the wrist. i doubt it's very water resistant even screwed down. verdict--i still wear it a lot with the crown open, and am careful not to get it wet.

I bought the Phyllida, it arrives TODAY 😁😁😁😁 Also pay attention to the Heimdallr Seamaster, it will be releasing soon and they maintain 200M water resistantance from their skx models... Great watches. I prefer a Seiko movement but my Citizen NY0040 is phenomenal with the miyota... Extremely functional and reliable after 25 years of heavy use.

Those Miyota movements are noisy because the rotor only winds in one direction whereas the seiko movement has bi-directional winding. The NH-35 is a far better bet in all ways...
@@JasonTheWatchGuy The Pagani is my choice because I have a few already and they're great, seems odd that they put a Planet Ocean bracelet on it but if I buy one then it would probably be with the black strap anyway...if the bracelet came with the 2018 Seamaster on the fly ratchet adjustable clasp then that would seal the deal but this would bump the price right up! Pagani are definitely the better brand here, much more history in terms of building watches. Hopefully you'll be able to pick up one of their fixed versions!

Its not as if it needed help with height either is it? lol you should consider a video on mod-monster 007 : could you make an improved version from frankensteining them together... solid caseback, dd crystal, textured dial, correct handset, matching bezel and indices, rubber strap (both of these bracelets are "no thanks" for me) seiko movement... could it be done?

@@twitchyjambo I'm not too sure but I think Royal Mail have a calculator for it. The real pain is that Royal Mail adds around £8 for an office charge so that bumps it up a little.
I prefer the paleda , over the pagani, the size is better , but stupid having that escape valve at the depth it can probably go down to ,if they made the pagani a more sensible size would definitely buy one , cheers Shane uk 🇬🇧
not sure why Phylida don’t use the other lettering Ived seen on Aliexpress when you go to message seller. The Lettering is much cooler and also got a small Logo on top of the name like a crown.

But if the Phylida had the bezel of the Pagani and the NH35 movement I'd buy it. Because you're absolutely right, those 8000 Miyota's are loud.
@@Nothingtoya I still wouldn't buy any watch with a Miyota 8000. I had one and I sold it purely because of the noisy movement. You'd have to pay me in order to accept one.
Awesome comparison mate, think the phylida would take it for me and yeah miyota do have their issues but I've never had one to break on me. The 9000 series as you mentioned is a lot better but also runs a premium. I think miyota really should update the 8000 series as it's getting a bit long in the tooth.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Only with Miyota. They said this rose gold one is a "limited edition" run, so only the miyota and only nato strap. Whereas the new gold and black one is available in all options of movements and straps, and is about 10 quid cheaper. But the rose gold look so much better in my opinion, so I just went for it.
I'm watching this with a picture of the real thing on my screen....the Phylida really is much better across the board...visually speaking. The Pagani is a nice watch....but it's very much it's own thing. That's either good or bad depending on how you see it. Personally I want a homage to give me the closest possible feel of the real thing. just my personal view. I fully understand the Pagani's flying off the shelves.
I would definitely side with the Pagani one if I were 100% sure they've fixed the bezel issue. But how do we know? In spite of the fact they told you, Jason, they were fixing it, what could it mean? They started a new production batch without that issue leaving the already made watches the way they are, or they are fixing the existing watches too?
The lume on my Phylida 007 is way better than your lume shot. And it lasts all night. Maybe I got a rare one that has decent lume? I reckon they should do a mach II version, where the dial is textured matt dark brown and the bezel is dark brown (the original Omega is dark brown, not black) and the Bezel is fully lumed like the Omega. Also put the date at 6 and have it colour coded to the dial or (even better) colour matched to the Indices. Then you'd have a Top Notch Homage.
Theyve made a new version with a matched date wheel and some other colour options I know that. Its good that they're still improving it, pt5000 version also coming soon.
Cracking review as always brother....they both have strength's and if they stepped it up a bit could both be outstanding....PD could have a matched date wheel and sort the bracelet, Phylida would be better going for some sort of logo rather than the name, they'd sell a lot more, the movement, umm not keen on, go with the NH, the superfluous crown does bother me....overall the PD wins my vote....⌚🏴⌚🏴
Very subjective one this! I think it's all down to what you're personally looking for in a watch! Have you seen Phylidas Rose Gold variant? Wish I got that one.

I'm waiting for the Heimdallr version. I suspect it will come with a couple of choices for movements. Like their MM300 homage. I got mine with the Chinese ETA copy (Seagull ST2130).

Shame San Martin isn't doing a Bond hommage. Also, Phylisa telling you that you haven't charged it long enough, would be a reson for me to not feature them anymore, period. You have been very kind (careful?) with your comment in the video, but the lume shown in the vid talks for itself and Phylida should step up their game instead of replying with such shady reasons why they failed in that category.
I cant tell if it is the camera or not. But Looking at the Bliger and the Phylida Foe Valves . I have the Bliger model. The Bliger appears to be slightly smaller. Again this could be the camera angle.. I tryed to measure the height of valve. However it can't be precise with a wooden ruler. I got 1.5 mm from case to tip of valve..
The phylida just works better, in my opinion, esthetically. Though, functionally, the movement is a big deal, and the NH35 is a really solid movement. The Pagani Design is a bit big for me personally, and that bracelet just seems problematic in particular. The end links are not only really big, but don't blend at all into the bracket. Huge gaps. That's a deal killer, for the bracelet.
if its a homage to the NTTD (which it is) it shouldnt have a clear back ..also original does not have a date ..so small one is better ..also "crows foot" above 6 oclock ( pheon ) is not an indication of military issue it just indicates it is government owned.

But this Pagani has NH35 and also sapphire crystal - the other Paganis have Chinese movement and plexi, if I’m not mistaken.

It has a Chinese automatic Tongji movement, you get a shark mesh strap and a Bond NATO strap thrown in. To me it looks like the Phylida, especially the handset which I believe is more like the original watch. With the extra strap the Paulareis was £20.02. Al, at Time For Another Watch, said even if the movement is no good, you at least get two decent straps out of the deal. Of course it remains to be seen how long the movement lasts. The Paulareis has the faux valve and the red notes on the dial. All I can say is that the power reserve is not that brilliant but it's getting a lot more wrist time than the Pagani because to my eyes it looks more like the real deal, despite the quality of the Pagani bezel being undoubtedly better. So, I have two, and won't be buying the Phylida which, to be fair, probably has the better detail of the two that you reviewed, and very similar quality, which the Paulareis will lack. An automatic for 20 quid though! You can't moan if it works and it's doing ok. Thanks for the review.

I think PD gets it completely wrong with the lack of consistency of the fauxtina colour, sword hands, and way the bracelet joins the case/exposed ends of the first link. Phylida, with the arrowhead, consistent fauxtina, and contrast of the red text/second hand looks the part. I do however prefer the date window on the PD. Great comparison review mate. Given all the issues I had with my Pagani and from my previous experience with Phylidas I'm inclined to agree with you.
Out of everyone you'll see where I'm coming from! That bezel really did ruin the experience for me. Apparently they've fixed it now though!
@@JasonTheWatchGuy If it was just the bezel, I'd probably be able to forgive it. The main issue is those protruding links on the bracelet. I've been speaking to Pagani about all the issues, I'm currently waiting to hear back about that in particular.
I think if I was to buy it again I'd leave the bracelet and got pick up the band instead, just yo avoid the end links and that clasp

I prefer the Phylida, but I'd much prefer a silent running watch, so on the issue of that, I'd go for the Pagini. However, I have seen a few people complain about the bezel issue. Hopefully, they have sorted the bezel out now as it is December 2021, so would be good to see an update!

Yes they're now colour matched! I've heard great things about the pt5000 and I'm not a big fan of the Miyota

Does the Phylida bracelet fit on the Pagani though? I picked up the Pagani with the fitted rubber strap (which is really nice) but it would be nice to have a bracelet option. It's a nice beater watch when I'm bored of wearing my SKX.

To see both watches side by side makes it much more easier to decide which one to choose! 👍 The Pagani Design is by far my favorite because it's using some own elements like the hands. Also the size of 42mm and the colour of the numbers on the bezel I like on Pagani mutch more. So this 2 points would go in my case also to Pagani. The Phylida doesn't look like a Homage watch anymore, it's more like a copy of the Omega, however with fake functions like the not even working helium escape valve. I just like the bracelet of the Phylida more however I will get a vintage brown leather strap anyway. Thank you one more time for the great review! Now I'm sure I can order the Pagani!

The healing release valve on that watch actually is functional. It’s not just there for cosmetic appearance. However is a lot simpler than the real omegas
Phylida case, hands and face but with Pagani brand logo, the new bezel, lume and NH35 movement and Pagani minute track with a Vostock mesh bracelet. I'd buy that!

I went with the Pagani. The movement, better lume did it for me - I really like the NH35a, a lot, for budget watches. The bezel fitment turned out to be horrible on mine, it clicks and moves up and down on the case. But it looks really good, it’s a watch I can put on and not worry AT ALL about thrashing it, at $120 it’s a great deal IMO. The bracelet is much nicer than budget Seikos, although that’s not saying much. The size and fit for my 7” wrist is perfect. Just really chuffed at how good this is for the price. I don’t think my bougie friends will know it isn’t a Seamaster - only the indices give it away, they just look a little budget, if you have an expensive watch you’ll know what I mean, this just lacks that indices bling factor. It’s nice to have a nice looking watch that I don’t worry about.
That movment choice does a lot to be fair, however with PHYLIDA offering this with a PT5000 its a very interesting offering

@@JasonTheWatchGuy The Bliger is apparently an odd colour compared to the Phylida, I would of considered the Pagani but its missing the MOD motif
What decides it for me is the fake helium valve. It’s my least favorite part of the genuine Omega-I think it screws up the lines and virtually no one needs that release. So to put a fake one on the Phylida is game over for me. I bought the Pagani with the rubber band which is way nicer looking than the metal strap to me. I also love the open display back, the better domed crystal, and the better lume. To me, this is 10-0 or 9-1 Pagani. But everyone’s opinion is their own and I get why folks would prefer a more accurate homage.
As you say, everyone's opinion is their own! I get the points and if i was given the choice I'd go back and get the rubber band it looks so much better.

I have the Bliger (terrible name) Seamaster homage (not 007) - good build quality, keeps good time and very good bezel action - it hacks and has the helium escape valve - think its the cheaper movement

The only Bliger I have any experience with is the Explorer homage and that is a really solid watch for not a lot of money. Id be really interested to know how the Bliger and Phylida Explorers compare .
Great dual review! I really appreciate the comparison and your thoughts on the two watches. I lean towards the Phylida with the Chinese movement and (importantly) the color-matched date wheel. Not a fan of the "helium escape valve"...if it serves no real function, I'd rather they left it off! Looking forward to watching your vids!
I think for me the full homage look really paid off for them, instead of doing a half and half job

a few notes about the Phylida.
the Chinese movement is the DG2813, I have this in my collection and it's been a great movement. I believe it's a bi-directional rotor, so no rotor whirl...at least mine is quiet enough that I don't notice it. Still not an NH35, but better than the Miyota (I hate the miyotas so much)
I have the White seamaster on order from Phylida with the chinese movement...so I'll comment about this in my review.
the Miyota versions now come with a black date wheel!

Hating the rotor noise is understandable, but I happen to actually like that noise. Random times throughout the day I hear whir whir whir zzip!, and this brings a smile to my face as I remember I am using cutting edge technology from the 70's.
My wrist, at least, is off the grid.
This is a time approximating machine, not a computer that occasionally pings another computer to get the exact time from somewhere in the internet ether. I can always look at my phone if I need to know the time to the half second, but I can glance at my wrist and know it is "about 3 oclock" or whatever. Hacking is just not important unless you are running within 2 or 3 seconds per day anyway.
Thanks for the comparison video. Went for the Phylida after seeing it. Great looking and wearing watch. Smaller size, seamaster style hands were key factors for me. Also Phylida offered version with black color matched date wheel. Quality is great for the price.

One of the stores has a get the watch with both bracelet and gel strap, so you can have both for a reasonable price (I think it was $135). Something to check out if you were going to look for another strap to buy with the bracelet watch anyway. The gel strap looks nice, and seems to have a nice clasp on it.
There are some serious JJ Abrams style lens flares in this video. I completely agree with your thoughts on the Miyota 8000 series movement. Ive had a couple of watches with them and I really hate the way they sound and feel. I think Parnis uses a modified or updated version in some of their watches. I had a Datejust for a while that im pretty sure it had a Miyota 8000 series but it hacked and was much quieter.

I have a later, non-Bond, Pagani version. It’s the watch I wear most, white dial, ceramic bezel. Even bought a black sailcloth strap to change the look.

if this phylida is like the unbranded model i got from ali express last year, i would not count on the screw in crown working very long--mine went out in a month or two. it is a very attractive watch and bracelet, and keeps good time if you wind it daily--supposed to be automatic but dies on the wrist. i doubt it's very water resistant even screwed down. verdict--i still wear it a lot with the crown open, and am careful not to get it wet.

I bought the Phyllida, it arrives TODAY 😁😁😁😁 Also pay attention to the Heimdallr Seamaster, it will be releasing soon and they maintain 200M water resistantance from their skx models... Great watches. I prefer a Seiko movement but my Citizen NY0040 is phenomenal with the miyota... Extremely functional and reliable after 25 years of heavy use.

Yes, people have actually complained about those half links! I thought they were quite smart
Those Miyota movements are noisy because the rotor only winds in one direction whereas the seiko movement has bi-directional winding. The NH-35 is a far better bet in all ways...

Pagani are definitely the better brand here, much more history in terms of building watches. Hopefully you'll be able to pick up one of their fixed versions!

ok the phylida is supposedly double domed which seems better to me... but they dont do it in the nice fitted rubber which the PD gets....GRRRR
I like the pagani crystal more because it seems to be a more premium crystal but the phylida crystal does really flow with the case and bezel

The only place I pick up PHYLIDA from is Aliexpress on their official store. They aren't the best at keeping stock in but it does get refreshed

not sure why Phylida don’t use the other lettering Ived seen on Aliexpress when you go to message seller. The Lettering is much cooler and also got a small Logo on top of the name like a crown.

Awesome comparison mate, think the phylida would take it for me and yeah miyota do have their issues but I've never had one to break on me. The 9000 series as you mentioned is a lot better but also runs a premium. I think miyota really should update the 8000 series as it's getting a bit long in the tooth.

@@JasonTheWatchGuy Only with Miyota. They said this rose gold one is a "limited edition" run, so only the miyota and only nato strap. Whereas the new gold and black one is available in all options of movements and straps, and is about 10 quid cheaper. But the rose gold look so much better in my opinion, so I just went for it.

I'm watching this with a picture of the real thing on my screen....the Phylida really is much better across the board...visually speaking. The Pagani is a nice watch....but it's very much it's own thing. That's either good or bad depending on how you see it. Personally I want a homage to give me the closest possible feel of the real thing. just my personal view. I fully understand the Pagani's flying off the shelves.
Exactly what swayed me to prefer the Phylida, gave me that homage feeling more!

I would definitely side with the Pagani one if I were 100% sure they've fixed the bezel issue. But how do we know? In spite of the fact they told you, Jason, they were fixing it, what could it mean? They started a new production batch without that issue leaving the already made watches the way they are, or they are fixing the existing watches too?
Jody released a video this morning on one he received and that's got a fixed bezel so it just looks like I was unlucky with the early batch!

Jason, i bought the PHYLIDA as its better in all aspects. Hats off to the design team, top bit of watchmaking at this price level.

The lume on my Phylida 007 is way better than your lume shot. And it lasts all night. Maybe I got a rare one that has decent lume? I reckon they should do a mach II version, where the dial is textured matt dark brown and the bezel is dark brown (the original Omega is dark brown, not black) and the Bezel is fully lumed like the Omega. Also put the date at 6 and have it colour coded to the dial or (even better) colour matched to the Indices. Then you'd have a Top Notch Homage.
Theyve made a new version with a matched date wheel and some other colour options I know that. Its good that they're still improving it, pt5000 version also coming soon.
Cracking review as always brother....they both have strength's and if they stepped it up a bit could both be outstanding....PD could have a matched date wheel and sort the bracelet, Phylida would be better going for some sort of logo rather than the name, they'd sell a lot more, the movement, umm not keen on, go with the NH, the superfluous crown does bother me....overall the PD wins my vote....⌚🏴⌚🏴
Very subjective one this! I think it's all down to what you're personally looking for in a watch! Have you seen Phylidas Rose Gold variant? Wish I got that one.

@@JasonTheWatchGuy aww, knew my ears didn't deceive me! had a Wallasey roommate/coworker when I taught English for a school year at a French boarding school many, many years ago (let's just say when Nokia was still king of mobile phones). it's an accent that doesn't escape your memory bank :) and sadly, that was the last time I'd had a proper scouse and chip butty, before returning to Canada. ok, enough reminiscing and back to the Ali sale!

@@JasonTheWatchGuy to be more clear perhaps, this was the Gerrard/Owen/Fowler/Heske era, Hillsborough (even a decade later at the time) was still fresh in the collective minds of supporters, or so it seemed, Man U and LFC supporters could still be counted on to provoke each other at a pub in another country (in Paris!) even when watching a match in which neither team was playing, and a quality chippy indeed was a treat :)
I was born in 94, a lot of those players ruined my childhood because I'm a proud Evertonian haha!
Jason you think the Phyllida would be wearable on my 6.5 inch wrist . Im very careful with the overhang.
Mine are 6.2" but I don't mind a little bit of overhang. Out of the two the phylida would be the better option for you.

I'm waiting for the Heimdallr version. I suspect it will come with a couple of choices for movements. Like their MM300 homage. I got mine with the Chinese ETA copy (Seagull ST2130).
I'm hoping they'll send me one in when they're released! I'm going to beg them to anyway!

Shame San Martin isn't doing a Bond hommage. Also, Phylisa telling you that you haven't charged it long enough, would be a reson for me to not feature them anymore, period. You have been very kind (careful?) with your comment in the video, but the lume shown in the vid talks for itself and Phylida should step up their game instead of replying with such shady reasons why they failed in that category.
I can only pass on my feedback to them, the lume really speaks for itself, I charged each for the same amount of time.
I cant tell if it is the camera or not. But Looking at the Bliger and the Phylida Foe Valves . I have the Bliger model. The Bliger appears to be slightly smaller. Again this could be the camera angle.. I tryed to measure the height of valve. However it can't be precise with a wooden ruler. I got 1.5 mm from case to tip of valve..
The phylida just works better, in my opinion, esthetically. Though, functionally, the movement is a big deal, and the NH35 is a really solid movement. The Pagani Design is a bit big for me personally, and that bracelet just seems problematic in particular. The end links are not only really big, but don't blend at all into the bracket. Huge gaps. That's a deal killer, for the bracelet.

Phylida 007 Seamaster bracelet is a true homage to Omega but not to No Time To Die watch.

if its a homage to the NTTD (which it is) it shouldnt have a clear back ..also original does not have a date ..so small one is better ..also "crows foot" above 6 oclock ( pheon ) is not an indication of military issue it just indicates it is government owned.
