As an older ex bassist who was inspired in great part by Steve Harris back in 1983, I have to say that Jerome’s delivery is amazingly accurate, soulful and perfectly hits the spirit. Funnily, lived in Belgium at the time. Would be great to meet you Jerome. At the time I wrote numerous songs, combining Iron Maiden with Shakespearean influence/input, ie Hamlet, Othello amongst others. Great stuff

@ Hi Didier, only alluded to Belgium (your “connection “), as I lived there from 82-86. Though I got into RnR at age 6, Brussels is where I hit my 1st band, 1 month after picking up bass. Meet you anytime, anywhere. Currently in Switzerland (should you pop by), but mainly in Asia for the last 20 years, where I’ve done many lead vocals with top cover bands, generally scoping Rolling Stones, Led Zep, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, GNR as a mainhold; last time I did The Trooper on stage was Hong Kong ~ 2015. Get into a lot of technicalities, hence (part of my huge respect for you and your extraordinary delivery). 🤟
It is you! Amazing. I got to see them do this live during the Legacy of the Beast tour two years ago in Brooklyn. It was everything.

I'm sorry but I won't cover any song after the 7th album, I quit listening to the band after it. To me Iron Maiden ceased to exist in 1990.

If I remember correctly, you achieve it without the Harris' Rotosound, and that's a great thing. It demonstrates that flatwound are not necessary for the Harris' sound, it is much more important the use of the right hand.
I have tried the Rotosound only because they were together with the Fender Harris signature I bought 4 years ago (West Ham bass, because the blue like yours was no more available). I have removed them after a couple of days: too stiff, even with the truss rod correctly set up, too big... But I am not a fan of flatwound anyway.
