Its testament to Aruna's talents to perform at this level, with no where near the training and calibre of players to practice against, coaching and resources to improve to one's maximal potential with.
From what I have read, the reason for this "lazy" high camera angle is NOT for the best table tennis viewing experience, but is to make sure all the sponsors' logos can be seen fromm a high and wide camera angle. In other words money trumps the spectators satisfaction. We should not waste our time complaining to ITTF, WTT, nor any other table tennis governing bodies. But we should redirect our complaints the viewing experience to the sponsors, letting them know that we are not satisfied with way in which the content is being presented. If the sponsors complain to them , they may switch back to the spectators' preferred viewing angle.
People need to understand that's it's not only about "your perfect viewing experience". If it's for sponsors it's a good thing. Table tennis is STARVING. Especially if you consider its popularity. Do you think WTT pockets all that money? They don't. If you want the sport you love to grow and become more prestigious and popular we need this money! It makes it more viable for professional players to get into the sport and keep playing instead of sacrificing their whole lives for little to no reward. The prize pools have increased and there are more events for lower tiers. Furthermore, even though directing decisions may not be perfect, this arena is beautiful, video quality has improved *dramatically* compared to the blurry crap it was a couple years ago, there is a new app to find content and schedules and match highlights are released much faster. Not everything is perfect but things are happening! But people ignore everything because "bAd CaMeRa aNGle".
Impressive Performance Aruna. Wow, Aruna you have improved quite alot especially your backhand you have a surprise spin-wack to your backhandnow, comes out every now and then. But please your backhand needs a lot more improvement. Practice more spin drive backhand ball returns, rather than just punching every backhand ball. I have seen how your opponents in other tournaments take advantage of this fact that you punch most of your backhand shots. You have to have a surprise factor to your backhand shots mix it up to keep your opponents guessing. Then onto your Forehand, it's quite powerful. But after 2, 3 or 4 Rallies it becomes inaccurate and inconsistent. In this match especially you missed quite a bit of Follow up Forehand shots, Especially, the ones you have to twist your body to make. Practice more long away from the table Forehand drills shots to build some consistency in it. 🇳🇬Good luck And keep Moving up!!! 🇳🇬

Ma long played very strange in the second set. But he became much better the faster the rallys became. Ma long plays way better against Chinese players in my opinion. When the rhythm is too slow Ma Long seem to have problems.
Had to gut it through the WTT "eff the fans" camera angle to watch the GOAT play. The side angle provides zero information on spin and makes the game look like a video game from the 90s. Great job, WTT -- you continue to alienate fans who actually play the game, while trying to target the casual non-fans who will never even watch or appreciate these videos...

He lost the second set "cause he couldn"t match him from mid distance.It's not surprising 'cause his knees are shot and compensates with huge swings just like Aruna but Aruna is just taller.

I believe the final will be Liang Junkin vs Wang Chuqin. Liang is showing crazy strength the last couple of tournaments. I really like his playing style. But we can't underestimate Ma Longs power. I think he had some troubles because of the slower pace in the first two sets. But I believe he will play way better against Chinese players
