This is some brilliant writing. If I didn’t know the backstory I would totally believe George was right. This is brilliant example of gaslighting. The way he has people believing JP is the monster is just icing on his vindictive cake.
Ste was gold in these scenes. Props on him for recognizing right away JP’s fear of George. First time during this saga that I empathized with JP on an emotional level rather on just an intellectual one. Both Ste and James are on guard and wants to help; think they will be the one to help JP given Ste’s past experience. And yeah, George is not dead, just another move to set up JP, gaslight and torture him psychologically.

Can Hollyoaks go back to ugly villains again. I hate hating George while admiring his cheek bones. I know evil can come with a pretty face (Ted Buddy et al) but I feel really bad about hating a character that I can’t help lusting after, especially when the character is gay. Reminds of the Ryan Knight days.
Ste have been through what JP currently experiencing multiple times, especially with Brendan. Ste knows how to help JP if only JP let him to. in my opinion, Ste and JP would be good together but not that fast. the writer have to set both their ground first before putting them together again or it'll be another nightmare storyline.
I wonder what George would do if JP said, "Your'e, right George, I'm not nearly good enough for you. I've lied to you, cheated on you and embarrassed you in front of others. You should leave me and find someone better for you. I'm only holding you back."? How do you think he would react?
Hadn't watched any JP scenes in years, and it's really disappointing to pop back in just to see he's still in the cycle of being abused by men all the time. After all he's been through, I'd have hoped that he'd be in a better mental state to know red flags when he sees them, and cut out any people from having unnecessary power over him. His old stories taught *me* when I was a teen about what to look out for and what treatment wasn't acceptable. It's not fair that seeing his experiences has made me stronger yet he himself seems to be getting progressively weaker.
I can't believe Ste and John Paul slept together, but George confronts him about the affair until he lies to him about going to the hotel while he was so angry at him for sleeping with Ste, so he leaves the house to go to work, because Ste comes clean to James about John Paul and confess him about it and John Paul found out about George died!!

Everyone seems to have forgotten that James was also a controlling partner! Remember how he put a tracker on Harry's phone and drugged him so he wouldn't go out?
I don't like George, but I'm kinda on his side on this one. John Paul did lie and if he can't see that their relationship isn't working, then JP is just dumb.

JP could have told him the whole truth, but George never would've believed that nothing more than a drunken kiss happened. And there's no telling what George would do to JP or Ste. George is a monster that deserves to be exposed and held accountable. That's what he deserves.
