I actually came the day before I started and dropped a 2 day food box at Neal Gap then dropped a 4 day food box at Hostel around the bed then I started with 2 days of food. Granted I hike all of Georgia in 4 days. I made it to Kathadin and my wife mailed me food the whole 5 months it saved me a lot of time not having to go to towns to shop.
