Rare CHARCOAL Hot Pot In Chinatown + PORK Fat Noodles + Coconut Banh Flan To Beat The Heat!!!

- A must try dish before it is gone, the charcoal hot pot!
But don't think we only had hot pot today, we had an assortment of delicious foods to eat along the way.
We started the day off with some unreal noodles. I am talking absolutely delicious. The instant noodles tossed in a flavor packed sauce, topped with fried pork fat and an egg. Not to forget the surf and turf loaded broth on the side that you get to sip on as you slurp down these delicious noodles.
Next up, an all time Vietnamese favorite, banh trang tron. This time we found a lady putting the chicharron, nem chua, and egg in to this dish. An exceptional twist to a classic as I love the added pork flavor and crunch that the chicharron adds to the dish.
Time for something sweet, banh flan, but not any normal banh flan, we had to get the coconut flavored version. Two textures, a chocolatey sauce, and an overall heat wave relief. This stall will see a few more visits from me, forsure.
Last up, charcoal hot pot! Something you don’t see as much in Saigon, but is an ultimate culinary experience. The charcoal aroma with a loaded cauldron of surf and turf make this an experience for every eater. The satay sauce and old school atmosphere really make this place a treat to check out when deep down in Chinatown.

I cannot believe you ate ALL that food (especially finishing with the hotpot) in 4 hours! You have an endless void for a stomach. That banh trang tron always looks so amazingly and refreshingly delicious to me. I'd be addicted to that, too.
I love how in Vietnam you have these incredibly busy streets and then after you turn a corner there is a little calm oasis with killer food! I am craving the Coconut Bahn Flan now!! 😫

Your Vietnamese food vocabulary is pretty impressive. I love that you always try to pronounce the foods the way locals do instead of find an English alternatives, show a lot of respect for the language and the food. Great video!

I love how developing countries have road/street-side stalls for max efficiency in terms of space, sales, rental(could be in forms of fines from police, etc), cost of setup compared to developed countries. I'm so getting that power bank/usb fan combo for my upcoming BBQ!

I went to this hotpot place when I was maybe 5. It has been there way before I was born. My mom said that she went to this restaurant when she was really young. Back in the day, they only served fish heads since it was really cheap. And then adding more toppings like what you have now. Thanks man! Your video reminds me of sweet childhood memory!
