Just looked up the price of this setup, was shocked how affordable it is. Sounds awesome on here. I imagine it is a real detailed listen. Do you feel these speakers are best suited to acoustic, indie, vocal music?
Monitor Audio Silver series are pretty versatile speakers and they play well most of genres. I wouldn't say that they are better for some genre than the other.
I really like the detailed sound you're getting in source direct mode! 👏 I wonder if the Mission LX-2 MKII speakers which are bright, would make a good pair with this amp. I like good highs and lows. The Mission are more than able to express nice highs without causing fatigue. Bass drivers are small, which seem to be a good option with the Denon. How would you characterise the Denon sound in terms of being neutral or warm? I read you had too much bass because your speakers have big drivers, just the opposite of mine. Would you recommend this amp for someone on a tight budget? Thanks in advance for your help! Great work with your videos. Just subscribed!
Thanks. I appreciate your feedback. Denon seems like good match for your speakers because it has rich bass. I believe that it's great match for speakers that lack lower extension.
Can you suggest me an amp for Monitor Audio Gold 300 ? I want an amp that is all rounder. I listen to all variety of music. I meant what best suitable amp. Not too expensive obviously.
You can find Roksan K3 on hifishark for decent price. If you don't mind buying used gear. That's one potent amp that doesn't have issues to drive any speakers and I loved sound with my Silvers.
@@rupertherbert594 Rotel has a little bit more energy in highs and it might not be best match with brighter speakers. Denon has pronounced bass on the other hand.
Yes, it didn't work out for me at the end. Bass was too pronounced for my taste. Currently driving speakers with IOTAVX stack which is much more neutral combination.
Just purchased a pair of MA Silver 100 7G Limited Edition to replace my MA Bronze 200's. Cant wait to set them up, stands arrived today. :-)
Huge difference in sound quality. Happy listening!
@@HiFiSB Thanks. may not need to turn my REL T5 on.
Nice sound.
detailed sound 👍
To my ears, very natural, but slightly high.
2:00 I sense scratchiness in the center "woofer"
that was the dog
Beautiful setup!

Hi, what is your preferred pairing with monitor audio silver 100 ? Tks
Roksan K3, Cambridge Audio CXA61 or IOTAVX. Those matchings were the best for my taste.
Hi ! Roksan Caspian M2 ?

How well do these do with lower volume listening?
If you added a sub to this, what would your crossover point be?
It sounds ok. Decent. Speakers have relatively large drivers so I don't have issues with bass. I don't even think to add subwoofer.
The silver amp would of looked the part with white speakers and cabinet
Bog, zanima me kakav je na basu DENON, imam Yamahu AS501 i zvučnike KEF Q350, dosta je svijetal zvuk, sve ide u neke kreštave visoke tonove.

Hi.Which amp do you prefer with these speakers, Denon or CXA? Thanks.
@@Diploization CXA is much better for me.
How have you got Tidal running on your TV ?
I used Chromecast in this video.

Tra Rotel A11 Cambridge cxa61e denon pma600ne sembra che sia proprio quest'ultimo a giocarsela con il Roksan k3. O le registrazioni sono fuorvianti?
Roksan K3 is league above. Much better amp than the rest. CXA61 my second choice and then Rotel for darker speakers, Denon for leaner speakers.
So you suggest a Denon not a Rotel for my old but still good Celestion Ditton3, as they tend to be a little bright?
