Since you have so many hero's Lionheart, I would suggest you have one of them go down the red upgrade path. It has your hero give buffs to your entire army and can really help latter on.

It's the banshees you wanna use for murdering other heroes, they get amazing bonuses for it much like the goblin big bosses. Vamps are great in fights and helping out the growth rates.
I'm just imagining Mannfred reacting like Lionheart did with the 'Von "Carsteen!' thing. Just a big ol' vampire saying 'I thought my name was 'Von CarSTEIN!'
lionheart, you should bring a full stack of zombro's around with your main generals so that you can feed casualties in a battle so that you get far more grave sights, you can run a tighter economy if you only keep on your specialist troops and just raise the appropriate chaff for each offensive engagement then you can disband the chaff once its not needed any more.

I always thought that was a nice touch in bram stokers dracula. The part where he had been a conquerer and just had large amounts of money lying in piles from all the towns and villages he raided back in the day. Explains why hes rich.
Hey Lionheart. Love the videos and a few notes/ideas for campaign. 1: Since the Empire's Germanic they'll pronounce the E rather than the I, so it's good either way on Carstein 2: I noticed that the Dwarves running around in Sylvania started to counter the vampiric corruption, just a note to keep tabs 3 I personally recommend leaving the other humans alone for a little while. You can go and raid/raze dwarf and ork settlements to earn more DM, then use those boosts/second incomes to go back and beat down the annoying Elector Counts
When thinking about the global recruitment I don't think you should feel too bad honestly... I mean most campaigns aren't going to have an epic last stand where manfred and fluffy killed a ginormous amount of enemies and win like you did... It's a blessing brought about by the might of your hero I'd just roll with it
You need banshee. Assassination QUEEN. I've got nearly 90% sucess w/30% crit success on most heroes, about 83% on most legendaries atm with mine. Necromancer for construction cost red. You also want to get your leg quest pt 1 for sword done asap. Both quests final battles are right next to each other; In blightwater. Pretty worth it to not teleport and just spend 3/4 turns going down there and back with full army. (you'll want a couple vargulfs and terrorgeists for that. SOO useful. EDIT: also I asked in another vid, how do you do the group attack so each formation attacks a separate opposite formation rather than all yours converging on one of theirs?
Ya know Lion , you're (oddly) on good terms with the dwarfs. If you make them defensive allies your shielded from any attackers in the flanks that may go straight for your core province which you're upgrading. This means you can focus your efforts on your front line easily and never worry about attacks from behind.
Also the disadvantage to that raise dead is psychological. Either you hamstring yourself by not using it , thinking it unfair (like you did) or fall into the trap of "ooooh shiny" and take too many expensive units.
I just finished watching Empire campaign #7 and got confused at the start when I saw the Vampire Counts beating up the Empire. Then I realized this is the alternate universe where Von Carstein is beating the Empire. Also, Lionheart, I really enjoy your muppet jokes/references for some reason.
Interesting army composition. I've got a campaign running for the Vampire Counts too and I use very few expensive units with the bulk of my forces being much cheaper units. I found it to be pretty effective. I look forward to seeing how your battles turn out though. Probably much more colourful :)
Wanting to make a more challenge for yourself is cool. I can not play a game without pausing to change units around, Im not good enough yet for that. Keep playing these game love it
I seriously believe you're overextending way too much, and you should try and spread corruption in the lands you want to conquer before you actually go there. Gotta work on that Income too, chap :P
unlike in other total wars, when you click on characters they respond as if you are contacting them when you view their armies such as chaos saying 'are you a god?' And enemy orcs saying 'get out of my head!' When you click on them. Anyone know what is up with that?
Please, in the future Dwarf and Greenskin campaigns, don't skip the intro battles. And post the battles for the other races please, I think it's something we would like to see. Also, name Black Coach "The Shaggin Wagon"
Why do you go for great weapon since i would say u need 2-3 max of them since you have no ranged they will get shot down quicker then normal especially in sieges which is a pain in the ass already
can you name one of your beasts ddraig goch it means red dragon in welsh which is a celtic language and the welsh dragon has a intresting story tied to it so i think it will suit this series

You seem oddly intent to keep at war with factions you should peace out with. I mean I get it you started this out wanting to push against the Empire more but then you went after someone else. Why not take Franz's 4000 wipe out your current targets and then start the fight anew? Unless the wait times on peace treaties is something absurd. At the very least your not facing getting peppered with heroes all over. On that topic as well you need to take some heroes and instead of getting them ready for battle level them to start doing map stuff like wiping out other heroes disrupting armies,and messing up settlements

Your relationship with the Empire is like the Gauls with me in Rome: Total War. The gauls keep asking for peace, sure, if you become protectorate.
It's the banshees you wanna use for murdering other heroes, they get amazing bonuses for it much like the goblin big bosses. Vamps are great in fights and helping out the growth rates.
Lionheart you deactivated taxing the Stirland province! If you turn that back on you'll be getting about 800 dark magic a turn more. Silly goose!

I know it wasn't a giant castle siege, but I'd go as far to say that that battle was one of the best in this season.
I don't know if this matters, but your dead count at eschen has remained at 7374 since part 3 of this vampire counts campaign.
Lionheart, could your public order in Stirland handle you re-taxing the province? Probably want the money.
If you're planning on moving west against Hochland anyways, you should have taken Manfred there to raise dead from the battle marker

The game tries to hold true to the lore, so things like that mission are great easter eggs for players of the table top game and readers of the books
