What's worse is when you think you're on a different layer than you are and don't realize until after you're halfway finished, so your "inking" lines and sketch lines are on the same layer, AND THEY ABSOLUTELY WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE, and you have to either spend hours trying to clean it up or you have to go to the RIGHT layer and spend hours fucking tracing your "inking" lines.

Through some sort of dark magic/time travel fuckery, Shakespeare is alive again. Everyone assumes that he will just start writing incredible plays again. However he adapts to the modern world rather quickly, and decides to look into MODERN art forms.
He is, however, disappointed in modern art. He finds it „Soul-crushingly boring", because people stopped inventing words and phrases. However, he starts looking after internet culture, and realises memes are the only place people invent words, do clever roleplay, and tell engaging stories on a low budget. He finds a job, and moves in to a small apartment with a guy called Dave.

Gnome barbarian is actually one of my (numerous) favorite character concepts.
Currently have one written up who's a cloistered scholar (basically a librarian) who enjoys just sitting down and reading books, but he can draw upon vast reserves of NERD RAGE when in combat. His personal quests would involve recovering long lost texts, extracting payment for overdue library fees, and hunting down book burners.

I once played in a campaign where one of the party members was a halfling barbarian. She got into an arm-wrestling competition with a half-orc/half-giant and somehow fucking threw him into the wall 20 feet away. While arm wrestling. No foul play, no cheating, no escalations or anything otherwise - just a plain arm wrestling. Like, "START" followed immediately by the huge buff getting absolutely YEETED across the fucking pub by this little halfling girl. It was fucking nuts

Dumb character ideas (that have actually turn into characters because I wanted to):
• A druid who was actually an owl with a magic druid staff and he wild shapes into a human.
• A Warforged built for gardening and sucked into adventuring because of his programming to protect the environment.
• A vampire Drow Bard with drugs and a friend who was an eldritch knight human who duel wielded tower shields as his weapons.
Tips for druids.
Step 1: Cast Awaken spell on an owl
Step 2: Train in the ancient druidic arts
Step 3: ???
Step 4: Profit
Or to make things wilder... Take your owl druid and instruct it to awaken and train a legion of owl druids.

@@erinfinn2273 sadly no. I only played like, the first 30 minutes of bloodborne so I don't know if there's anything like my character in it. My friend on the other hand (The Eldritch Knight) Saw the ability of eldritch knights to bind weapons and be able to teleport them to your hands at will and our DM classified Improvised Weapons as still under the weapons category and took the chance.

2:42 The “sentient hat piloting a mannequin” actually isn’t that far off from a character I actually played. “She” was a mimic pretending to be a teenage girl (I was instructed to make a character that’s an anime monster girl, because that was the campaign. I decided to go against the grain and stretch the definition of monster girl). Mimics can’t really be a lot of organic materials, so upon closer inspection the girl’s skin seemed wooden and her eyes were painted on, unblinking. Secretly the girl’s “body” was actually the tongue of the mimic, and the cloak she was “wearing” was actually the real body. She was neutral evil and kept trying to eat people, but she had low intelligence and she was totally aware of that fact, so she let the rest of the party make decisions for her. She didn’t understand the concept of altruism or morality, so she assumed every choice the party made was in the group’s self-interest.
It would be like this:
We would see a scared child. She would point to him and ask “Can I eat that?”
The party would say no. Then the child would say “Thank god you’re here. I’m being chased by a monster. Please help!”
And my character would be like “Oh, I understand now. A monster would provide more meat than a small child. It will be our bait. No wonder you instructed me not to kill it.”
I found that to be a great way to play an evil character without ruining the party dynamic. Honestly maybe she was lawful evil now that I think of it, since she followed all orders.

Can I just acknowledge that instead of scouring the Internet for a sound effect for bees getting angry, He just recorded himself spazzing out instead. Absolute genius move on his part tbh.
As a person with experience in audio recording, it can be very strenuous and time consuming to find the exact sound effect you want because either the sounds don’t don’t sound how you want, or you have to pay for it to use it. And recording it yourself wasn’t an option because shaking bees in a jar is a poor idea, leave it to the professionals, Applebees knows what they’re doing.
Anyways, I just gotta shout it out because that honestly made that little post even funnier tbh. 😆

My dad has adhd so my mom would always have to call my dad over and over to get his attention when he watched TV. And when I was little I once went up to my mom and started tapping her saying, "Nick! Nick! Nick!" Because I thought that was a word used to get attention. 😂
So yeah, toddlers don't recognize these things as names, just the definition they see.

To add onto terrible dnd character ideas: My friend has a lacer campaign (read: avatar bending campaign) and my character is your local firebending fish spirit who got kicked out of the ocean so now she lives in a swamp selling lotus roots

7. an echo knight, and their twin sibling...
8. an astral self monk; each of them thinks that the other one stole their idea
3:34 plot twist: the list is full of placesw where you have some of the best days of your lives. the first location is where oyu meet your future spouse the second is where you manage to get your dream job, etc. future you put "NEVER VISIT" on the note because they knew it would be the onyl way to actually get you to those locations.
I made a drow that was terrified of spiders once. She liked the dark though because when the hot light-orb fell out of the sky and everything got dark, the streets would get really empty and she doesn't like crowds or loud noises. Conversely though, she is also TERRIFIED of stars. Like... what even ARE THEY!? Clearly her fears are vindicated by the fact that all of the surface-dwellers would hide in their homes when the stars started to appear.
She also believes that mountains are grown by rain since underground stalagmites would be formed by water dripping on a single spot over a long period of time, which also explains why mountains are so much bigger since rain is a lot of water falling all at once instead of just a single drop over and over again.

I'm remembering a DND blog post about an innocent farmer trying to protect his land from "heroes" who steal anything of his that isn't nailed down.
So he sets up traps. Doesn't work.
So he trains monsters to act as guard dogs.
More adventurers come, but die and he gets their stuff. Uses it to further fortify his house.
Stronger adventurers hear about the loot this guy is collecting, and start arriving.
He builds a vault underground, with a twisting labyrinth of passages to protect his stuff. Trains more monsters that now live down there.
Then one day the innocent farmer realizes that he's become a dungeon boss, and now the adventurers WILL NEVER STOP COMING.
Great big apple tree In the middle of garden with a big don’t touch sign, that was just asking for trouble. Why not put it on top of a mountain, or on the moon.
This is like the age before warning labels, only this time we don't get a second chance. That, and God had total faith of not fucking up that bad, yet Adam and Eve fucked up that bad. They had ONE FUCKING JOB and THEY BLEW IT.

Fun story; I witnessed this. During the infamous blackout of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, people busted out the candles.
We had three jar 3 wick candles but what we didn't knew that it was rich in food dye.
So you could've imagine the surprise my dad saw a beacon of hell's gate on top of the medicine cabinet. And then a sharp pop of glass shards and wax decorating the walls.
Our Druid got so over trying to source shit that he just enchanted a pot plant to hang out with our party. We call her Rebecca, she’s good value, handy with a switchblade.

If anyone's wondering about the food colouring thing, liquid food colouring is usually suspended in ethanol (alcohol) to keep it a liquid. Because it doesn't mix well with wax, it separates and sinks to the bottom in a nice highly flammable layer. You can actually get little lamps (like little oil lamps) that use ethanol as their fuel. It's called Ryuutama and basically the world was formed with the birth of 4 great dragons that constantly create the world, but they don't eat normal food, they live off of good stories which are usually told by a ryuujin (DM) So to help feed the dragons everybody once in their life feels the desire to explore the world and everyone is super supportive of them when this happens. The game focuses less on taking out evil dudes and slaying monsters (Though you can if you want) and more on exploration, meeting new friends and trading. It's really cool and the art is really cute and there's a horror mode.
2:38 this reminded me of one of my first d&d games. I made a d&d club at school so I could play d&d with friends, and i talked to one of my friends about character ideas. He suggested a sentient glass of water. At first I thought he was kidding. he wasn't. When he showed up the DM helped him make a character sheet for a sentient glass of water. Whats even better is that during the one-shot we were playing i rolled to make a harness for the glass of water... it was a 20. Im pretty sure it was the only 20 I rolled in that oneshot.

Reminds me of how I wanted to make a literal Pinball Wizard as a DnD character. Just an evocation wizard with a lot of spells that involved balls or bounced off enemies (Chaos Bolt is a must).
