What struck me was the overall creativity in these mazes. The use of animatronics, things like vibrating floors, and unique plots like fears of the mind. Points to Knott's for that! 🎃
I have only seen HHN etc through your videos, but I have to say that Knott's Berry has blown me away with their creativity and detail. The wax work mannequins were incredible and the aliens so gruesome. Universal really does not compare to how good Knott's is. I'm blown away.
So glad you enjoyed our local haunt! The Goreing 20s scarezone is essentially featuring people who drank "the devil's elixir" from the Blind Tiger speakeasy. Once they drink it, they die and are stuck in a timeloop having to relive their deaths when the bell tolls forever. Not only that, but a live jazz band will play on the second story of the theater every now and then, causing the actors to break out into dance.
Knotts Scary Farm is the best! They always go above and beyond with attention to detail, creativity, and theming. I love how every section of the park is a scare zone and how many scare actors there are compared to HHN. There is so much to do between the rides, mazes, shows, and food. They’ve been killing it since 1973!!!
I loved the first house..and idk but the grey lady sitting in the rocking chair with the red book was the dopest thing to me! It literally looked liked you walked into a movie screen...Thanks for always showcasing these for a scary cat like myself
the reason the gore-ing twenties people drop is because in that moment, they’re all reliving their deaths. the woman in front of you was grabbing her throat and trying to “stop” the bleeding since hers was slit. each one has a unique way of how they died!
Love how all the houses have a storyline. It helps with understanding the house. It isn't just scenes from a movie but original concepts. I like that some seemed much scarier then others and the scare zones also didn't seem as scary as some Halloween events I've been to.
Tim! I'm SO EXCITED to see you at my favorite Halloween event. I really hope you enjoyed it to its fullest extent. The scene playing out in Goring 20's is the characters recreating their deaths. They're stuck in a time loop and they relive their death every time the bell tolls.
Yay!! Knotts surpasses HHN in a lot of ways in my opinion, from how open it is, the tech in the mazes, and scare actors everywhere!! One thing you missed (but you would never know) is a lot of mazes have interactive elements, for example, the space ship has a ton of buttons you can press to trigger different effects, and Mesmer has a secret second path if you find the correct door. Glad you enjoyed!
Lite spoilers for Mesmer: It’s in the Flesh Eater room and you can hear a hint while you’re in there. Fun, but skipable. Not like choosing a starting path for Paranormal Inc. Full spoilers: Right across from the Flesh Eater animatronic there’s usually a scare actor and behind them is a red door you can go through. It’s not a full room and only cuts a corner of the main path. It’s black with doorknobs, strobes, and whispering.
You can really feel how much creativity and passion the people making these haunts have-- very unique conceptual ideas instead of more of the same old scares.
I love when Tim does voiceovers he would be an amazing reader for audible books and I also love the spooky season videos bc I'm a big baby and don't go to them but can watch other people do it 😂
Also, so sorry for screaming "WRONG WAY!!" at you in Bloodline, I just didn't want you to fall and hurt yourself or break your expensive camera, haha! We've had too many guests go that way and bail out. Don't worry, we've added more obvious set pieces to block their path now but it doesn't stop the terrified guests from still eating it >_
@@Disneylover25. the problem is, the other ways lead to backstage area and expensive equipment that can both ruin the magic as well as potentially put too many things at risk: safety of guest/performer, safety of equipment, lost guest who backs up the line, etc. It’s funny, but honestly something we all need to be more mindful of
So glad to see a video of Tim enjoying Knotts. All the other vlogs I have seen of it makes it really feel so different than Universal. As much as Tim loves Haunt season, i could tell this would be something he would really enjoy.
Yay long Tim vlog! I waited until my husband got home to watch, he’s a veteran haunt actor and loves this stuff. Thank you Jenn for your brilliant editing!
As someone stuck in England, I absolutely love seeing these videos! And your fabulous videography skills! (And Jen's editing!) I'm a costume designer and find the designs and concepts in the smaller budget events absolutely amazing. They do so much with such a tight budget and it looks awesome!
So glad to hear you enjoyed Scary Farm! Knott's does such an amazing job with the event. There will be at least two new mazes next year, too (Dark Ride and Pumpkin Eater are leaving after this year), so there will definitely be even more to check out next year. 😊
Greatly astute observation on the Mesmer Maze, as it is a total mind enhancement exercise!!! Thanks for reading all the introductions for the haunts n mazes n scare zones, as no one else does, n I found them very 🤔 interesting!!! Great that you showed all the haunts n mazes n scare zones, most of the other vloggers only show small parts of them , n I will never be able to get there myself so I really appreciate seeing them in full!!! Attaboy, Tim Tracker!!!☠️👻👹🎃🎑⚰️🪦🗝️⚔️💣📜🔮🌒🔥🤡🌠🎆🌚
can't believe i saw myself at @42:58 😂😂😂 i was very surprised to see you there and was going to say 'hi' but i didn't want to bother you! it was very nice seeing you here in knotts scary farm though! amazing video as always
can I just say the clown actor at 42:59 was my absolute favorite! He was so cool😂 also the sliders are so neat! As someone who has never been to an event like this I love to watch Tim go through it! He always seems so calm. Thank you Tim and Jenn for the awesome videos! 💕
Hey Tim thanks for taking a picture with on that night during scary farm it was a honor to meet you I always want to meet you and family hopefully I meet Jenn and Jackson one day to also love the video ❤
Tim KNOTTS RULES WITH SCAREZONES! Disney, Universal ect are good... But like you said and showed us. These actors in mazes had AMAZING MAKEUP, animatronics were a plus! Each house/maze was unique and SCARY. the whole point..... I loved it! Thanks! 😃😃👍👍👍👍
Knotts originated the Halloween theme park night events so it’s no wonder that they continue to provide creative attractions that rival and surpass many of the others that followed in their footsteps.
My first job was at Knott's back in 1985. I was 16-17 yrs. old. I was there when they started building Bigfoot Rapids (now called Calico). The employees got to be the first to ride Bigfoot Rapids before it opened to the public on an employee night. That was a fun job. Have not been there since 1988.
Great getting to meet you outside of dark ride, glad you had a great time. On your next visit, it’s definitely worth watching the shows, especially Puppet Up in the Walter Knott Theater, presented by the Jim Henson company!
the way the actors are in the wax works maze is how we have it here in england at places like alton towers and thorpe park. it makes for a much scarier and intense but action packed experience.
See now THIS is what I like about haunted houses!! It’s all about detail, time and effort if I put into it. The creativity of this is superbly done on so many levels. I agree with Tim completely!! HHN is too much of a themed based attraction in my opinion
I went to Cedar Point last year, I peed my pants I was so scared. This year I am going to depend on depends. These are some great haunts Tim! Loved the video.
I was so scared for Tim going through Grimoire. Without anyone in front of him, and not knowing the way, was frightening. I would be saying ‘oh dearie’ every five seconds.
Knotts Scary Farm is awesome. Not as fancy as HHN but it stands in its own. I think where Knotts really stands out is it’s scarezones. Many people f the monsters in the scarezones have been doing it for years
I was just out there on Saturday (10/8) and I was like oh I should go to Knotts! But I saw Adam’s video and was like hard pass. I would have nightmares, anxiety, & PTSD. I like to watch you enjoy all the festivities Tim but I could never.
Bloodline 1842 and the grimiore are the two brand new mazes. And sadly this is the last year for Dark ride and pumpkin eater. Glad you got the chance to experience those two. I expect two other amazing houses next year. Knotts does such an amazing job, it is truly one of the best fully immersive haunts. Knotts scary farm is by far my favorite haunt in socal.
Good afternoon Tim from the United Kingdom🇬🇧🇬🇧 Great video as usual. I’m afraid not my cup of tea it gives me the EB Jeebies I will probably need a clean pair of trousers after walking through that lot look forward to seeing your next video take care great video👻👻😃😃💀🫣
Knott's Halloween Haunt (or Scary Farm-it's gone by both names) is the best hands down. The fog is quite something, especially on a cold and rainy night. The fog gets super thick and doesn't dissipate as rapidly on a warm night. Kind of a rare occurrence in Southern California, but it can happen ,usually near the end of October.
Knott's Scary Farm is the best because it's been at it the longest. It was the thing to do when I was in High School from '72 - '75. There were no mazes then but the rides were haunted as well as any walk-through attractions like the mine. The real reason to go was to see a terrible B horror movie introduced and heckled by Seymore! and after his passing Elvira Mistress Of The Dark. They were both hosting a local TV stations horror film on Saturday nights. Elvira went on to bigger things. Poor Seymore weighed 60 lbs. soaking wet and died of drink and cancer poor dear. 😢 Knott's is better than Universal, Sea World or any place else. It has grown amazingly! I hope you'll come back again Tim...if your heart can take it. 🎃 👻 🎃 😄
Knotts Berry Farm was doing Halloween years before the other theme parks. I remember the first year Universal Hollywood had a haunted house. The 3 kids were between 7 and 10 and they really wanted to go in it. I told them they were experts in making scary things so they wanted to check out the exit to see the reactions of people coming out. I know I wasn’t going in. I have a ton of memories in Knotts Berry Farm when they only had the carrousel, stage coach, big train, old Mac Donald’s farm, and a herd of donkeys let loose that knew where they were going.
Next year Knott's Scary Farm will be celebrating 50 years of Scary Farm. As one other was commenting, this is the last year for Pumpkin Eater, The Hallows, and Dark Ride. They also sell the T-shirts for these at the Berrytail Factory. 😀

knotts did it before universal. They have been doing it for a loooong time. Originators
Great mazes thanks for Sharing Tim and we luv your reactions in the mazes 🎃👻

HHN Orlando is still better than knots scary farm
That's scary farm is very good, it's a lot different than Halloween horror nights
@@bardycopeland6295 lmao no it isn't
Not only that. The actors at HHN are lacking.
I love the line “That maze had everything sharks, ships, me running into walls” 😂

Who else loved that the performers kept having to tell Tim where to go and they kept pointing the the next parts.

Hearing your reactions during the house walkthroughs is hilarious. Your so polite and clean haha I swear up a storm when I go through these 😂
I love how when Tim gets scared he says "Dearie Me", I'd be screaming my head off and sobbing and would probably need a new pair of pants.
Holy Macaroni! Oh dear oh my! The beat

Knowing Tim, the amount of HOLLY MOLLYs and CHEESER’S CRACKERS are a testament to how good your scares are

Not anymore they don't. Most have been turned off or gotten rid of. Also Dark Entities and Dark Ride where the only mazes that had those.
You can really feel how much creativity and passion the people making these haunts have-- very unique conceptual ideas instead of more of the same old scares.

Tim going through scare houses is like a Monty Python character. "Tis but a flesh wound." LOL

I love Knotts! Go every year, prefer it instead of Horror nights. Less crowded, better food, fun rides if you need a break, and really fun houses!
The calm way tim said "ooh a mandatory invasive security scan" took me out 💀
Tim that was the best Knott haunted event thank you 😀😁😁
This place looks like more fun and better presented than hhn at universal.
I've said it before, I really don't like creepy scary stuff, but I do love seeing the hard work and performances of the actors and designers. 👏👏👏
