- This one is for Rohan Gupta who requested a tutorial on Nengón.
Of course Nengón was the precursor to both Son and Changüi. It evolved into Son in Santiago de Cuba, and into Changüi (when it fused with Kiriba) in Guantanamo province.
Nengón has very simple repeated Tres line alternating between two chords. In this case it's D# minor and B major.
The recording is 'El Guararey Es Contigo' by Cambron Jr. y su Changüi with the Tres player being Francisco 'Mikikí' Hernandez Valiente.
Mikikí tunes to C so for the tutorial I am as well.

Hello, I'm just started learning the tres and find your videos very helpful. I'm trying to work on the songs "Engancha Carretero", "Nengon" and "Yolanda" and would like to try and sing along but cannot find the lyrics. I am not a Spanish speaker (but learning) so I cannot make out the lyrics by just listening, do you happen to have the lyrics (and chords) for these songs or point to where I can find them? Thanks!
