@@prismsedits2320 um not really, blues players were early examples of crafting melody and rhythm lines together. Robert Johnson for example. Chet Atkins is a later example of fingerstyle that incorporated those elements. Jimi is an amazing rhythm player for sure. Little Wing is a great example
it still amaze me how Ian D'sa mix the notes and chords in a riff to sound like rhythm and lead at the same time, Billy Talent is a band that I like to play in guitar very much because the style is so much fun to perform and you have to get in the groove of the rhythm to master the songs, in a way is like funky metal because the chords and the flow of the rhythm

I wanted play guitar like THAT guy. Still playing at 26 years old, seen BT 6 times... amazing TALENT EDIT: I distinctly remember my guitar teacher in Gr. 6/6 trying to teach my Billy Talent riffs, and he was so weirded out by the "Bach-like" chords and the fact that it was one guitar doing the sound of two. Amazing guitar teacher because he got those riffs pretty bang on for me lol
