Nice review. Thanks! I used to use the Dorco Pace 6 blade cartridge and they were great, but they stopped selling by mail order. Not the best shave I have had but close. People poke fun at multi-blade cartridges, but they really do work.
@Greatlaker thanks. Agreed, I use quality cartridge, electric and safety razors and they all work beautifully. For some individuals one works better than the other, what’s important is to know what works for you. No one tells me what to shave with 😂✌️
The purpose of designing a 6 blade razor is one...higher price point, and 2...it is meant for daily shaving (hence the clogging due to heavier beard growth). The 6 blades are much closer together than less blade cartridges so there is less skin pinching between blades so the shave is smoother. Cartridge razors have their purpose, but for me, I prefer one blade razors, cleaner cut without the pulling. This razor does look interesting especially the razor holder! It looks like a wide racing tire,😅 Thanks so much for review! JimG
I find that the single double edge razors pull more. More passes needed to take off the same amount of hair. Cartridges are quicker & safer than “safety “ razors
Unfortunately this razor isn't available in India. I recently bought exfoliating bar razor from Gillette and i think it's just little bit more smooth and less tug that's it. The main issue with these razors is that they clogs too much as you've shown.
I find with clogging it's better to fill up the bassin with water and then quickly moving the razor in the water is far better at unclogging them vs using running water to try and remove the hair.
Schick/Wilkinson Quattro titanium has the same issue with clogging, thats why i changed to Wilkinson Hydro 5....Absolutely no clogging and the best and smoothest shaving ever
I recently ordered a value pack with Wilkinson Sword Hydro 5 razor with 13 blades in the box... The price was 22.90 $ with free shipping from amazon......Just amazing I shave every third day, about ten shaves per month....And one blade works one month for me... That means that i have enough blades for thirteen months ahead... and the cost per month comes to 1.70 $ ...Thats nothing
Would you choose the Schick 6 or the Schick Hydro 5 Sensitive? (Shave every alternate day - quick hair growth, slightly sensitive skin). I’ve been using a Mach3 for a long time, but looking to try out a Schick product and contemplating between these two.
@@ravigemi Sounds very much like my growth and shave routine, both razors are great. The Hydro 6 is definitely for shaving on alternate days but won’t be able to handle growth 4-5 days plus with clogging. It definitely feels and looks more premium. Hydro 5 Sensitive for me is the perfect razor with literally no downsides. 1-2 days or 7 days worth, it will mow down the stubble with no problems at all. So between them, Hydro 5 sensitive is my pick
@@allydz Thanks for the response. I watched quite a few of your videos on cartridge razors including the one on the Hydro 5 Sensitive. Almost pre empted this response and bought the Hydro 5 Sensitive today. Love your channel and style !! You have a new fan.
@ravigemi Yes I mostly talk about the other products used as well, just so people get a little more from the time they spend watching. Soaps are surely important to get right as well. I haven't made a full detailed video on any but that's surely a good idea 👍🏻😎
Very nice review. Doesn't appear that this razor is available in the U.S. Interestingly, Quattro blades are being sold at a cheap price: an eight pack for $12.00. Perhaps this razor is designed to replace the Quattro. I am a big fan of the Hydro 5. As a daily shaver with a light beard, it works for me. Looking forward to your future reviews.
Hey Karl, thanks a ton. Wow $12 for a 8 pack is cheap for sure. And I couldn’t agree more, Hydros are simply the best. Hydro sensitive review coming this weekend ✌🏼😎
Idk I tried a hydro and it was just as close of a shave as Gillette except…it immediately gave me an ingrown hair. Gillette never did that to me and continues not to.
@Odinarcade00 That would have not been pleasant. I have learnt our skin does react strangely sometimes. I recently used my Phillips Norelco 6000 with Skinguard, which always worked well. I ended up with an ingrown, and it didn't go away almost for a month.
@@allydz yeah it’s weird. I honestly haven’t gotten any from Gillette razors so far. I still want to try the Schick ultra sensitive razors to see if those are better
Razor manufacturers need to stop making cartridge razors. They don’t work as well as a safety razor. I switched to a safety razor and will never use another cartridge razor again. And yes you can travel with a safety razor. Get a supply SE OR A HENSON prove me wrong
@Matt You never know, with Safety Razor now going close to 1K, may be they see there is more money in safety razors. They both (carts & DE) have their market and benefits, think about people that take blood thinners that prefer using carts over safety razors for obvious reasons. I personally use both carts and DE and switch depending on time at hand. Then again, skin and hair type come into play as well as personal preferences. Can clearly tell you love your safety razors 💈👍😊
@@allydz well, with all my respect sir I shave with both cart and DE, but recently I bought a Philips OneBlade because is a lot more efficient for my curly high ingrown risk hair and in the end is more cheaper and it have a 6 years warranty.
@@b.andrei84 that’s an awesome shaver too brother. I have the older pro (grey and black). Did a review on it too ages ago, Phillips make awesome grooming products 😊👍🏼

I have used in the past the disposables razors of Schick, (the Schick Exacta 2) and they were great! I really like that brand, good quality razors!

Does this Razor work better than Gillette
@@7Muz1k for short length hair, Yes
