The buckaroo style horsemanship is absolutely the best. It’s changed the way I communicate with my horse and also taught me a lot about paying attention and connecting with my horse as 1. I’m glad it’s coming to around to our area since it’s mostly in the west and I’m glad to see actual horseman speak about communication and signal instead of pain and force. Bravo to you!!!
Wonderful video. I got with an instructor who put me in a hackamore for the first time last year, and I wish I'd had that instructor in my life years ago. It made me completely understand my own errors in communication, and I made a lot of strides in riding with softness after that.
That was a great demonstration of great horse riding. We should all ride our animals with as much balance and finesse as the man in the saddle did. Thank you for sharing.
I just got a 13 year old mare she's a sweetheart she let me do anything with her but she's always had a bitter mouth and I've been riding her with a halter and she likes to push through it I have to pull her head around to get her to stop you think a hackamore is the answer? I'm so new at this I'm just begging for information
The horses will also do very well in a rope halter and lead line converted to reins. Simpler than the traditional hackamore. Both very effective and are good for the horse and rider. No pain in the mouth. Subtle signaling.

Nice presentation
Very helpful and validating as we’ve moved 2 of our 3 horses in to hackamores and they are happier
Always good to keep an open mind. Thanks for sharing.
Very good video. Thanks for the info.
Yay keep the videos coming I watch these videos for knowledge
Thanks.
Such a handsome mare.
So you dont use the halter under the hackamore, you just add the lead. Or is that always part of the hackamore tack up?
The lead is attached to the reins it’s called mecate and it is generally called a get down rope
@@parkerhorton8318 thank you
I agree with you let the horse teach you they will tell there story
This tool, the traditional hackamore, can be used in any discipline. The horse can be as refined as you want to go with it.

Why go back to a bit, instead of just keeping the horse in the hackamore?
