The Luxair flight you boarded was on a DHC Dash 8. They were introduced by De Havilland Canada in 1984. DHC was later bought by Boeing in 1988, then by Bombardier in 1992, and finally by Longview Aviation Capital in 2019 who revived the De Havilland Canada brand. While De Havilland invested heavily in the Dash 7 with its STOL and short-field performance, not many operators used them as regional airlines were more focused on operational costs. And so, they dropped the short-field performance thing and adapted the Dash 7 to use only two engines that were more powerful. Thus, the Dash 8 was born. Besides Luxair, other operators include QantasLink, ANA Wings, Porter, WestJet Encore, Widerøe, Ryukyu Air Commuter, Air New Zealand, Air Inuit, Air Canada Express, Ethiopian Airlines, PAL Express, and SpiceJet.
Meanwhile Drew Binsky's like "Hold my Big Mac" as he visits every single McDonald's country, on top of every country in the world. I don't shame those who want to eat at McDonald's while on vacation. People are like "You're in another country, you shouldn't have McDonald's" and I'm like, "And?" McDonald's isn't in the same in other countries thanks to different menu items, if you're crunched on time, it's a place to get a quick bite, they're everywhere in big cities, and like you said it's familiar. Autobahn lore: The idea was first conceived in the mid-1920s during the days of the Weimar Republic, but the construction was slow, and most projected sections did not progress much beyond the planning stage due to economic problems and a lack of political support. Construction of the first segment (Cologne-Bonn) began in 1929 and was dedicated by Mayor Konrad Adenauer of Cologne on August 6, 1932. When Adolf assumed power as Chancellor in 1933, he took the program over, claiming it for his own. During World War II, many of Germany's workers were required for various war production tasks. When the war turned against them, only 3,800 km out of a planned 20,000 km of autobahn had been completed.
True. Each country may have a different McDonalds menu. I tried the McDo menu in Japan and I was surprised when I tasted their iced tea. It wasn't sweet. For context, in the Philippines our iced tea is sweet. But the burger in Japan is good.
@@AndrewAnd I'm not really a McDonalds person but from what I see on the menu, we do have those shake shake fries (fries you put in a bag, put on some powder flavorings and shake it to coat the fries). Also the twisted fries (curly fries) is a big hit here in the Philippines. And our spaghetti is sweet since Filipino kids love theirs sweet.
There’s you eating three fucking McDonald’s in one fucking hour, and there’s me who can’t even finish all the chips in one McDonald’s meal of fricking mozzarella balls, chips, drinks and a dessert!
I'm not saying all Luxemburg McDonald's aren't bad, they could be, but you'd be surprised by what a difference the individual franchisee makes to the quality of fast food. Where I live in Ontario, there are 3 separate Tim Hortons locations within a block of one another and there's 2 I won't go to because their coffee is garbage, they're always missing ingredients for stuff, and their baked goods are meh. But the other one has great coffee and decent food. If you went to one of the other two you'd say "Why does anyone in Canada like Tim Hortons?"
Yeah... no... that is definitely not a kebab here where I live. That would be called a gyro. I've been wondering for a while now what people were talking about. The only kebabs I've ever heard of are meat and/or veggies in chunks on a skewer.
Glad to see you enjoyed your trip to “Europe” (the part that isn’t the UK; or, I assume, Ireland or Iceland)! Hope that “almost certainly COVID” isn’t kicking your butt too hard! ❤️

I actually used to play SMP with a Luxembourger (and some other folks), back around 1.6 or 1.7 time. I think he's the only one I've ever "met."
