Do you have a video that shows what a person needs to do, step by step, in order to start taking payments on the day of a show? In other words, I've already done the setup that you show in this video, but I can't seem to get the chip card reader to work. For example, do I have to connect it to my phone each time I want to use it? Or just the first time (like wifi)? Should the orange lights be on? Should they be blinking? Should the green lights be on? After I enter the amount I'd like to charge, I put the card in the card reader but nothing happens. I must be missing a step. Can you help?
+durkinjm yes, the phone and chip card reader need to be linked each time you turn the chip reader on by opening the app and selecting the card reader.

How do you connect the square reader to the bank account?
You do everything through the app. You’re not connecting anything to this Bluetooth card reader
Do you have to have this reader? Or can you download the app and take payments with your cell phone with the NFC thingy?
You can use this reader or the one the connects by the headphone jack/lightning connector
When you link your bank account can you use a personal checking with square? Yes I get direct deposit with my employer
What's the big cavernous hole on the back? Looks like you could put a credit card in that slot.
For chip&pin cards how would you enter your pin on this?
The same way you would sign for a CC transaction, use the mobile phone or tablet the reader is paired to.

That’s really strange. I checked and theres nothing in the software that limits chip or nfc functionality. I think you may have a defective unit or possibly the apple device that you’re trying to use for the payment
The mag reader is useful as I do sell square gift cards as well. Hopefully they would integrate a mag reader with a new iteration. Gift cards aren't chip.
