I have a son of just one year old and I can't wait to show him your videos about the scale of the universe. It just perfectly captures its magnificence in a way that I haven't seen before. Thank you!
That’s super kind thank you so much! I started making these as something to share for mine when they’re older and they’re just starting to enjoy them now, I will do my best to have a good collection of videos for him when he’s old enough to watch them. Thanks again!
Thanks so much! I did put a lot of love into it, probably my favourite so far but I have many cool topics planned so the plan is to get progressively better.
It’s not only one of the coolest videos, but also incredibly educational for a wide range of ages. It instantly reminded me of the Kurzgesagt channel, but now I see why. I shared that video with more than a handful (non-native English speaking) adolescents and they seemed to understand everything very well. It’s hard to get those kids interested for more than a few minutes nowadays, especially on science topics. That says a lot.
Thank you! There’s lots of VFX I’m terrible at, I’m just becoming a strange specialist in these types of videos, but thank you, that’s very kind of you to say!
Hello I reached out to you on twitter but no response yet. Wanted to ask you if you can do a small custom video for me about the universe. Of course you would be fairly compensated. Thanks
I do not know anything about VFX but the fact that the author spent A YEAR teaching himself every night left me speechless. No words to describe this beauty.
I’ve learned 3DMax since 14 yo. And then Maya, Cinema 4D then Blender through my life of 35 yo as a Motion Graphic Designer. And I’m not even close to your work for 2 years. This night you’ve been sparked my passionate about this industry again. Thank god I found this vids. Words cannot describe me now.
Jesus the production value of your videos for a one-man band is ridiculously high, and substantially above anything knocked out by the BBC or Discovery. Seriously, I just watched the Black Hole video and thought this must be a team behind these videos.
Thank you so much! Really appreciate the positivity, I actually sort of got a job offer to work in CGI (from the bottom but at a great company) after I made the second video as they were impressed I’d taught myself quite quickly. I would have loved to have done it in my 20’s but I said no because I already know what my ultimate job is and it’s these videos. I do want to make marvel looking videos but with real life, important knowledge and wonder behind the images.
My name is jamie and i feel really stupid, and ill say why, about 8 months ago i saw one of your vids and i commented that "it was a great video but the message didnt get across to me" And you replied, "im very sorry to hear that". I must have been drunk after a long day at work, because ive recently come across you again and think the sheer quality of your videos is outstanding, and i cant get enough of your vids. I just feel very embarrassed that i once said that and i wholeheartedly cant get enough of you now. Youre a very talented man. I wish all the best to you and your family .
I’m a teacher at a classical academy in Florida. I shared your video with all of our upper school science teachers and they, like me, love these videos. Well done 👍
What a wonderful message to get! Thanks so much for letting me know and I’m so pleased you all enjoyed it, really appreciate you taking the time to comment.
The quality of your content is so insanely high that I would have never guessed that you were new to it when you started. You've managed to greatly surpass channels that have been around for years (and some that have been around for a couple decades) with visually stunning animations, tons of information, and excellent narrating that also happens to be done by yourself and not some horrible AI voice. You are onto something great here so I hope to see you keep at it because you're going to be a HUGE deal someday, I just know it.
I know- with 100% certainty- this channel will surpass 1M viewers VERY soon. I would love to see your perspectives on Quantum Mechanics, you have a gift for portraying scale, and I dont think any video I've ever seen does as good of a job. You have created true masterpieces. Please continue to learn and do more! I LOVE your work. Also, the fact that you picked up blendr on your own (the donut suggests you learned on your own) is truly inspiring for me personally. You have a true gift here, and i truly believe you will DOMINATE a VR Video market. Youre already there with Blendr already
This reminds me of Neil Hallorans channel, who has made a few amazing vfx videos on some interesting topics. With only a hand full of videos over a 7 year stretch he still got over 330k subs.
Tell you, as a dad with a young family, you are my hero. I've put so many of my dreams on indefinite hold to better support my kids and give my spouse the role and freedom she wants, but seeing you do what you've done thus far with this channel has made me realized that it's possible to do both. You're work is changing lives in ways you'll never see, I hope you can remember that when this gets rough. Thanks for everything, keep it up!
Thank you so much, firstly that’s very kind to send my way and is greatly appreciated, secondly thank you for taking the time to write that. We sound very similar! My wife works long hours and I tend to fill in the gaps with the kids as my job is more flexible, my life is very different to how it used to be! I figure these videos are a bit like a computer game, when I can find moments I play it and finishing a video is like completing a level. Sometimes I can find a couple of hours to play and sometimes I have to wait a week before I have a moment. But it’s fun to do and feels rewarding without too much time pressure, doubly so as it’s something my kids might be proud of and especially when I get comments like this. So thank you, people like you are a big part of why I’m making them! I hope all is well with you and I’d just say it’s never too late to try a new hobby or passion, even if it seems impossible from where you are right now. Cheers!
@@EpicSpacemangood grief man, what a lovely bloke you are. I’m hoping your channel gets bigger than the universes you show us. You deserve it buddy and I’m proud to be your uk bro. Good luck!
I love that statement, "you have serious talent, and we are here for it" Its hard to say something so big in as few words as possible, but you nailed it there buddy.
The fact that you had no VFX experience before starting this channel actually made my jaw drop. You are going to blow up on this platform sir. It is just a matter of time. Your content is literally incredible. Such a hidden gem that I feel so lucky that I found it a while ago - but also makes me mad because your videos deserve to be seen by so many people. Thank you for creating a video like this letting us into your world a bit and letting us learn more about you!
That’s very kind, thank you! I’m very thankful for the subs I have so far as I’ve got such wonderful comments and support from people like yourself that I can barely keep up with. I do want to get more views and subs in the future just because then I’ll have more opportunity to do this full time, the downside will mean I’ll be less able to reply to everyone individually. So don’t get mad about the numbers, hopefully they’ll come if I keep consistent but in the meantime I’m really enjoying this journey!
1:57 wait what? You're doing this in Blender, alone, in your spare time? This is more mind bending than the time bending Black hole that we got at the center of our galaxy
Haha! Thank you! Yes indeed, just me working on them, it’s a passion project really but I’ve just started working on this full time from this week and hope to make it work out
I am an academic by training, and a dad by profession, and share all your videos with my 8-year-old daughter. They are truly a gift for her. Thank you for helping her experience the wonder of the Universe. Thank you.
What you do is obviously a work of passion and it's awesome. Getting to this level of VFX by yourself just shows how committed you are to this work. Thank you for making these videos for us all to enjoy! I'm looking forward to more.
It's really impressive that you taught yourself these skills in just a few years, your videos are amazing and I never would have guessed you were new to it. The universe is truly unimaginable in scale and illustrating that is so important, it draws people in to science and amazes them at any age. Keep it up, can't wait for the next one! :)
Thank you! Agree totally that it’s so important, I’m just happy I’ve finally worked out a way to combine something I like doing with something I love talking about.
I just want to say "thank you" and show you, that your videos are very appreciated. Another commenter already put everything I'd like to say in better words, so I'll just add: your videos inspire in me what astonauts probably refer to as "overview syndrome", with feelings of "appreciation and perception of beauty, unexpected and even overwhelming emotion, and an increased sense of connection to other people and the Earth as a whole". After each video I had to sit down and process all the emotions that you inspired. Keep following your passion, because you have the ability to move viewers into appreciating life and existence. And that's just spectacular :)
Thank you so much for that kindness. Not just that but the eloquent and wholesome words too. I think that’s a wonderful description of what I feel and hope to get across in my videos so I’m so pleased you felt I achieved it. Comments like this really help to keep me motivated to keep trying to make these special, thanks again!
You are a legend! I can’t believe you learned all that on your own. I am very impressed by the quality and clarity of your videos that I shared it with everyone I know. I have a Master of Architecture degree and that is what I do for work everyday. My real passion is animation, but I did not know until very late in undergrad and it was hard to make the switch. I thought now that I have a 9-5 job there is no way I could learn something new, but I think you just proved me wrong. I also thought as an academic person that I had to go back to school to learn how to do what you do. You are very inspiring, I look forward to see what you do next
Wow, we share almost the exact same story and passions! I was a photographer for 13 years before I went full-time into making educational videos on RUclips (been doing this for around 9 years now). Thank you for sharing your passion for science and your amazing talents and creativity to help educate and inspire! I'll be joining you on Patreon - well-deserved!
How wonderful! Great to hear from someone with a similar background who’s done something similar, looks like you’re doing amazingly well too, which makes me happy, love the content, am off to sub now! Great to see you’re focusing on RUclips kids too. Really appreciate the Patreon support and congratulations on your journey so far. Would love to pick your brains sometime on everything!
@@braincandytv My kids grew up watching your videos and we have seen almost your entire spread of content. The change in your modeling, animation and rending skills over the years is crazy and I love showing them the new stuff you come out with. We just need all your content available on Prime or Netflix!
@@Khifler Thanks so much for the kind feedback and for being long-time viewers. And thank you for noticing the extra work I’ve been putting into improving my animation quality - I really appreciate that. I’m happy to see we share some viewers with EpicSpaceman (isn’t his stuff awesome? I’m quite jealous, ha ha). I wish I could get onto Netflix one day, but the show is in fact available on Prime. Pretty much everything is on Prime except for the compilations, if you’re in the States, but the latest episodes are no longer being published on Prime in some other countries.
Seriously though, your voice and the gentle way you use it, is a great asset, plus that sweet south-east English accent, of course. And yet somehow, through it you manage to communicate more enthusiasm for your subject than many a fidgety, loud-mouthed gesticulator. Priceless! All the best to you, sir!
I have never given to a RUclips creator, but your story and mission is inspiring for both adults and youth. It just inspired me to pursue a similar creative endeavor about Earth + sustainability. The scale of transitioning to a sustainable planet is hard to conceptualize, and communication has been difficult in our industry. Your artistic work showed me a new way of communication that brings together math, visuals, and storytelling. Thank you from a fellow Earthling 💙💚
The other thing I will comment is that I’m from the hometown of James Webb (yes, the telescope and former NASA administrator), and we are launching a “James Webb Club”. And your videos feel like a unique way to bring media and art to this.
Thank you! Massively appreciate the kindness, especially as it’s the first time you’ve given to a creator. I’m so pleased I’ve helped a little to inspire your own creativity in what sounds like really important work. One of my upcoming videos (not the next but probably the one after) is going to partly be about The JWST so I hope you enjoy it!
A couple of weeks ago, my astronomy teacher showed one of your videos to our class and I was absolutely amazed. I decided to go home and search your channel up to watch your other videos because they are just that incredible to me. I love astronomy and I’m excited to learn more about it, and I know it’s not easy making all of these videos on your own, but I really hope you keep making these. It makes me happy that you want to do this full-time someday, and with how much effort and great content you put into your videos, I just know that it’s going to happen, you’ve got a supporter right here ! 👋😊
That's so wonderful, thanks for sharing, I love that your teacher showed this to you in class and then you came here to find more. Your support is greatly appreciated and I hope that you continue to enjoy astronomy, it's a wonderful subject and we're in a fantastic period right now of discovery.
I’m a young italian medical doctor, i really feel inspired everytime i can watch or rewatch any of your videos, i look up to you, you push me to be better, to raise the bar. Thanks for your dedication to make this channel a place where entertainment and educational content can coexist. I really look forward to your black holes video. Keep on ✌️
Thanks so much for your kind comment, I certainly look up to you too in your chosen career plus you have good taste in anime from your username haha. Good luck with medicine, we need all the scientists and doctors we can get! Looking forward to sharing more.
Incredibly impressive - I’ve dabbled with blender but what you’ve achieved is on another level. You’ve inspired me to take it more seriously and I look forward to watching your channel grow as it rightly deserves.
I'm deeply, deeply impressed by you as a person. Starting something completely new, without any prior knowledge, with no real idea if it's even gonna be seen by anyone.. I'm so happy for you that your hard work is paying off. You mentioned some of the people who inspire you.. You, even tho I don't really know you, now inspire me! Keep doing what you are doing!
Both my family and myself are huge fans of your videos. We've honestly watched your content many times now. My kids love the clear and precise way you deliver your information and I'm thoroughly impressed by the visuals and the way you describe the scope of how big the universe really is. You are by far one of my favorite content creators. Thank you for the time and effort you've put into the videos you have created.
What a wonderful comment, thank you for taking the time to write it! It’s so heartening to hear you’re whole family has enjoyed them. Comments like this are so incredibly motivating for me to keep trying to make something special. Do please pass on my thanks to all the family!
I still can't believe you are at 70k. I'd have expected 500k to a million subs for the video quality! Amazing stuff, this is what is so good about the modern era where anyone can produce this sort of content, not just TV networks
Incredible work. Im a freelancing videographer myself, and I think you’ve just given me the motivation to learn Blender after so many years of putting it off. I’ve felt unmotivated lately in regards to my work, but hearing your story resonates with me. Thank you for the time and effort you put into these, wish you nothing but the best ❤
No problem! I’d definitely give it a go, I know what you mean about lacking motivation sometimes in that industry, the VFX industry isn’t exactly the place to get away from that but if you can add it as a string to your bow or find some sort of niche you love and can combine all your talents, then that might be really helpful. The interface is a bit alien at first but just learn to make a sphere on a reflective plane and marvel at the magic!
Your videos are an absolute marvel. I know for a fact if you keep it up you’ll hit a million subs in no time. This is some of the most inspirational and astounding work I have ever seen regardless of budget or content.
What a brilliant comment thank you! Really appreciate the support and kind words! I hope I can get there, I’m going to keep plugging away and try and make each video special and hopefully that will work. Cheers!
I've just stumbled across this video and your channel. On top of accuracy, scripting and technical capabilities already praised by other users, as an Italian, I would like to comment about your voice accompaining your astonishing videos: calming, clear and warm, very easy to understand even for a non mothertongue spectator. Thanks again for your work and keep going.
I watched your Milky Way video a few months ago and I'm still trying to process how incredible that experience was. You might be pound for pound the most underrated content creator on RUclips. I look forward to more Epic content!
I love every one of your videos. Thank you for your time. I have a 13 year old and a 7 year old who both watch with me and we get to talk about things we learn after. You inspire. 👍🇬🇧
Your content is awesome and you just seem like a genuine, warm and caring person. If the world was full of Epic Spacemen it would be a better world indeed.
Thanks so much! I do really want to make these videos the kind that I love and that’s wholesome as well as being on topics that are awe inspiring. With all the negative stuff going on in the world that we are often bombarded with, I’m always so happy finding positive and hopeful pieces of information.
Coming from TikTok - Watched the milky way video in full screen, which i never do, and was blown away. Hooked every second of it. those 7 minutes felt like they were over in an instant. Goosbumps multiple times, so thank you so much for bringing these videos to our lives! Keep it up, im sure you and this channel will grow just as vastley as the milky way is big. Or as you said, as vastley as we are to an elektron. Thank you!
I don't think most people can comprehend what this Man has achieved in such a short period of time. From not knowing VFX at all to becoming a professional in just few years.
Thank you! Appreciate the supportive words, it’s been quite the upwards struggle but I just fell in love with it really, wish I’d tried VfX earlier, but Blender has improved a lot in the last three years so maybe I start eat the right time
Your channel is very refreshing and I like how you present your data through your visuals and story telling. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing.
Outstanding content creators like you, is why RUclips is the ONLY social media platform that I'm willing to tolerate! Your uploads are truly inspirational, educational and mind blowing! And even though I have TWO degrees in Physics, one being Astrophysics, your video about the size and scale of the Milky Way Galaxy still left me shaking with shock and awe! Please keep up this Amazing level of work! It is Truly appreciate! 👍
Thank you so much! I do struggle a bit finding the right content I enjoy on other social media channels so I know where you’re coming from. Great to hear you were happy with the MW video even with a degree in astrophysics! I do really enjoy trying to come up with ways to visualise things I know the numbers for but haven’t ‘seen’. In the hope I get to grips with it better. And I’m always surprised by something in that process, so that’s great to hear you took something away too. Cheers!
Your channel is one of the best things I discovered on this entire platform so far. Wonderful work you've done, my friend. I am also of the same mind when it comes to quality over quantity. LEMMiNO is another amazing channel of such substance.
Thanks so much! Really appreciate such supportive words and that you’re finding these videos to be special. Always great to hear of good channels too, thank you!
your story is so similar to mine .. was making videos for others, a young family ect and what happened in covid and so right why make videos for others when you can focus on yourself and see your rewards! love the videos they are epic .. and you have the most calming voice .. keep going!
Insane, I'm glad you moved into video because your passion for it really shows. I would have guessed you used Unreal but I'm blown away you can do this in Blender. Well done!
I have just introduced your videos to my online grade 8 natural science class. Between COVID and the over easy access to information on the internet, learners have lost the ability to imagine. These videos are brilliant, you have encompassed your passion and the beauty of science into visually stunning and relatable dialogues.
You knocked your first videos out of the park. I’m rooting for you and your channel, and hope more and more people can experience the same feelings I had while watching them!
Hey, I have enjoyed watching your videos!!! To the point where I wanted to comment publicly, and personally. I was inspired from a young age to just look up, I used to watch The Sky at Night once a month, and still do, and Sir Patrick Moore and his team always kept that enthusiasm. With old school literacy greats like Carl Sagen and scientific greats like Stephen Hawkin's my mind was always kept occupied but I also love the laymens terms that you use using the inspiration from Bill Bryson. You use all off these, and no doubt more, to bring your style and efforts into bringing this fantastic show to us so we can see this in these exceptional and 'well deserved hard earned visual elements' that you have worked so hard on bringing to us. Thank you😊
When I first watched your videos, I immediatley thought "this is Kursgezagt level of quality". What I couldn't have thought is that you did it all by yourself, it's amazing! I'm glad to hear that you're motivated and will continue to post new videos. Can't say thank you enough for your work.
Thank you! Yes they are definitely a big inspiration, they have the best motion graphics and they do such good research. I figured if I could do that same approach with quality but with more of a narrative and use CGI then it might be something others would like.I’m really enjoying making them, glad you’re enjoying them too!
Opened my eyes. As a professional 3D artist I had been setting arbitrary timelines for myself to work with more advanced techniques, no more. There's so much to unpack behind this dilemma including years of beating down self confidence, but truly thank you. Couldn't be more excited about life and my career from this day forward.
What a wonderful comment, I’m so glad to could help! I don’t know if my approach to things works for other people and I know a lot of people have success making much more regular content so I’m much more of an anomaly, but what I can vouch for is how enjoyable it is to focus on one thing that you’re passionate about and make it for you, make it something you haven’t seen before that you’d like to. And hopefully, others will see that. Don’t spend forever on it though because you still need to iterate and move on to improve. And you go a bit mad when you’re just working on one thing for a while in my experience. Good luck and of course always have a backup plan and/or source of some income, it’s taken me 3 years or more to make money from this
It is! They have taken a while to do but the recent Moon one only took about a month so that’s the kind of schedule I’d like to hit in the future, 1-2 months each.
I have just joined your patreon community. I've never done that before, but your content is truly stellar. The Orion Nebula video is my favourite science video I've ever come across on RUclips.
It’s amazing how much your videos blow peoples minds. I showed the Milky Way video to my brother in law over the holidays and I don’t think I’ve ever seen him that in awe of something. He’s been talking about it ever since.
I'm literally 3 min in, and I am just in complete awe by this man. Bravo brother! Not only is his work ethic incredible, but he takes the time to respond to almost everyone in his comments. I've gotten a few replies myself. This video gives so much clarity on why you have such epic visuals after you showed that montage of your photography work. Beautiful work btw. Your narration, work ethic, and strenuous detail when it comes to accuracy, these are the reasons you are epic! The same reasons that I have no doubt you will be a top creator in this space very soon, pun intended 😉
Thank you! Always good to chat in the comments about anything space/science related and I do feel bad if I haven’t gotten back to people who leave such wonderful comments! So pleased you enjoyed this one, I thought maybe it was a good video to have out there to refer people to but didn’t expect such support from everyone. Certainly looking forward to sharing more and more videos and really appreciate the vote of confidence!
I was mesmerized by Carl Sagan's television series, Cosmos. Until Epic Spaceman, it was the best thing I had ever seen about the universe. I am thrilled you will continue making these videos.
I have been a Patron supporter of only 2 channels in my last 20 years watching RUclips. I watched your most recent video, along with 20 seconds of another video before I paused it to become a Patron of your channel. You need to be supported for this amazing gift you are giving to the world, and to the people of youtube. Thank you so very much and I hope you continue your inspired work
I've always been concerned about how many videos I can produce while having a day job and a family. Today I accidentally ran into your channel and am inspired to focus on quality rather than quantity. You obviously have my subscription...
Its insane you said you had literally no experience with CGI only 2 years ago and now look at your videos. If thats not a inspiration to anybody wanting to do this kind of stuff i dont know what is. Really excited for future videos they are truly awesome.
Thank you! I had a bit of an advantage that I understood lighting and cameras and I like technology but still my first renders were shocking 😂 I think it’s like everything, if you love it you can get good at it quickly and I just happened to find something I didn’t realise I’d love and fortunately had a direction to actually steer it too for added motivation. I’d like to try and put a bit more cinematography in future videos and try and make them more epic if I can! Thanks again for the kind words!
Just found your channel and watched your black hole over New York video. It’s one of the most visually stunning illustrations of space I have seen on RUclips. Keep up the brilliant work 👌😎
FIRST channel on RUclips where i actually pressed the bell icon for ALL notification. I have a school and Space Observatory for underprivileged children in Rajasthan, and this is exactly what I was looking for. Another subhashiton l subscription from my organisation's official account coming up.
How wonderful, thank you for the work you do! I’ve been to Rajasthan a few times, it’s a beautiful part of the world, I can’t imagine how wonderful it is for those kids to look through a telescope for the first time
Thank you for your dedication. You put in more quality and time in your videos AND what goes behind them than most other content creators. ALL within the last 3 years. We're proud of you and thanks for the small video autobiography!
The sounds + video + narration are a winning combo in your videos. I have not seen videos this good, not even in space museums. The world owes you a lot for these incredible pieces of art!
I randomly stumbled over one of your videos today and instandly got caught by the way you make amazing Simulations with great explanations and a perfect radio/TV Voice. Never seen anything like that, I can't even explain that style...thats how special your work is. Damn what a great channel. I'm so glad I found you Epic Spaceman. Amazing...
Thank you! Great to have you here, yes I definitely want to make them interesting to people who already know the topic, to try and show subjects many of us know well but in a way they haven’t seen before.
Dude the courage it takes to create with such raw passion, especially when you’re still learning, is nothing short of inspiring. I’ve been in the 3D space for over a decade using Blender and C4D, and even now, the challenges can be overwhelming. Seeing you dive in without hesitation is a powerful reminder that true growth happens when we push past fear and just create. Your work is proof that it’s not the experience that makes magic it’s heart!!! Keep going you’re destined for incredible things! As Carl Sagan said, 'Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.' Keep exploring and creating."
I was blown away by your black hole video. It's so refreshing to see space content that isn't just Ai images and voice over. I am super amazed that you are able to do this level of production single handedly and honestly you inspired me, for so long Ive wanted to make videos using these techniques but thought it was impossible with out a large team. I am truly amazed and Im looking forward to your future content. +1 sub.
When I woke up this morning and went to work feeling like a zombie in a man-suit I didn't know that in the evening I would casually click on one of your videos and have my mind sandblasted by talent, style and vision. I only watched a little bit before I needed to pause the video, collect myself and figure out who was doing this to me. So I'm glad you made "Who is Epic Spaceman." God bless you and Thank you for inspiring us.
Dude you’re incredible, the time, skill, effort and creativity you put in while having a family and other obligations is nuts. Can’t wait to see how your channel grows.
Much love from Germany, I love your dedication and passion for your projects. I studied engineering and creative tech and this has to be one of the best crossovers I‘ve seen so far ❤
Love your videos. So mindblown by the fact that you learned VFX so quickly. The black hole video is insane, I think it should be awarded. From the first video I thought you were a vfx guy from London that went rogue Very inspiring. Thank you.
Your videos are brilliant. They've pulled my son away from his tablet and got him asking fantastic questions about science and the universe. Really look forward to seeing more!
Your videos are by far and i mean BY far the best ones ive ever seen, space is my favorite subject, it was when i was a kid and still is now in my 30s, ive watched 1000s literal 1000s of space videos, documentaries and yours have been the best ive ever seen. I'm here for it all Mr.Spaceman
Just wanted to add my few words to the general audience's appreciation. As as avid science, space, and tech enthusiast I just love what you create. I've watched tons of related space and science content here some is good, some is too technical or boring but yours is just from outa space, literally. As an educator myself I love the precision and facts but I'm truly fascinated about how you put them in understandable and easy to remember forms and analogies. That's how the science should be taught. And last but not least I just have no words to decide how much I love the fact you're able to show and share the personal feeling of awe and magic of the world around us, at the same time having deep appreciation of it and a magnificent gift of the Creation. Thank you 🌌
I just watched your video on black holes last night and was blown away. I'm not a scientist or anything close, but I've always enjoyed watching videos of astrophysics and astronomy. I had never seen your videos before that, but I was an instant fan of your presentation. You also have an engaging tone and timbre to your voice that adds to the experience. The fact that you are doing this all on your own is mind blowing, but I can also believe it because of how passionate you are about the details. You aren't just making things for the sake of meeting a deadline. I wasn't planning to support another creator on Patreon in the near future, but I made an exception for you. I've been waiting for an independent creator who makes videos like yours for a long time.
What a wonderful comment, thank you so much for taking the one to write it and I’m very proud that I could help nudge you towards that feeling, it’s really my highest goal.
Your videos are completely mind blowing in so many ways from the science, to the curiosity, to the quality, to your great voice - please keep going. Took me less than a minute of one of them to subscribe, fastest I've ever subscribed to any channel.
@@EpicSpaceman Thats amazing! ill make sure to have a 4k projector by then so he can see and feel every detail ;)
Keep it up, thank you for this update video! Can’t wait for the black hole one :)
Those planes sure do like to interrupt you eh?
That's awesome, I will show my 8 month old boy later I'm sure he will love all the lights etc. Such amazing videos he has done!

That Milky Way to scale video is one of the coolest science videos I’ve ever seen
I agree! It was beautifully created and a pleasure to watch on many levels
Thanks all!
I couldn't agree more... that video blew me away, and now here I am!!
I don’t think people understand how INSANE it is to be able to create SUCH AMAZING ANIMATIONS with just 3 years of VFX experience!
It took me 25 years using 3dmax and I'm nowhere near what this guy has done in 3 years
I’ve learned 3DMax since 14 yo. And then Maya, Cinema 4D then Blender through my life of 35 yo as a Motion Graphic Designer. And I’m not even close to your work for 2 years.
This night you’ve been sparked my passionate about this industry again. Thank god I found this vids. Words cannot describe me now.
I am blown away that you were able to teach yourself and get your production to this level all by yourself in only a couple of years. Astounding work.
Jesus the production value of your videos for a one-man band is ridiculously high, and substantially above anything knocked out by the BBC or Discovery. Seriously, I just watched the Black Hole video and thought this must be a team behind these videos.
And not just a team, an incredibly good team....
This dude's work is breathtaking man....The visuals are just SPECTACULAR... Marvel should hire this guy as the chief of CGI works 🔥
They are the best, they are just beautiful, no other words for it.
@@EpicSpaceman keep at it man...I love your work and I'm sure you'll get a million subscribers before this time next year!!
Marvel?! This dude is doing important work and doesn't have time for superhero nonsense!
@@splooshy4014marvel will wish they had hired him
My name is jamie and i feel really stupid, and ill say why,
about 8 months ago i saw one of your vids and i commented that "it was a great video but the message didnt get across to me" And you replied, "im very sorry to hear that".
I must have been drunk after a long day at work, because ive recently come across you again and think the sheer quality of your videos is outstanding, and i cant get enough of your vids.
I just feel very embarrassed that i once said that and i wholeheartedly cant get enough of you now. Youre a very talented man. I wish all the best to you and your family .
it happens, also happened to me. It is good to get humbled sometimes.
This has to be one of the most honest and heartfelt apologies I've ever seen.
Lmao
Good luck!
Dude. I can see the start of something truly epic. Getting into Patreon now. You have serious talent, and we are here for it.
Thanks so much, really appreciate the support!
I love that statement, "you have serious talent, and we are here for it" Its hard to say something so big in as few words as possible, but you nailed it there buddy.
@@jamiew1664 "you have serious skill" sounds better though, "talent" sounds like he was born with it :D
That fact, that, HE too started from the donut for learning blender😂 Blenderguru must be proud
@@panakoz13 Yeah that donut is like "Hello world" of Blender, but there's only one specific tutorial from Blender Guru on that xD
Thank you you legend! Really appreciate the kindness and the supportive words too. Looking forward to sharing more!
Engineering background - you can learn about anything after that 😅
I just want to say "thank you" and show you, that your videos are very appreciated.
Speaking as a middle-aged procrastinator, your story is truly inspiring. What an achievement you've accomplished in such a short Space 🌌 of time.
Thank you! I can procrastinate with the best of them but this has somehow bucked the trend, thank you for the support and kind words!
i see what you did there!
It's your voice that is engaging; gentle and comforting. Nice work.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the narration!
Seriously though, your voice and the gentle way you use it, is a great asset, plus that sweet south-east English accent, of course.
And yet somehow, through it you manage to communicate more enthusiasm for your subject than many a fidgety, loud-mouthed gesticulator.
Priceless! All the best to you, sir!
the literal opposite of my voice i will drive you crazy 🤣🤣
I CAN OFFICIALLY SAY THAT THIS IS MY FAVOURITE YT CHANNEL EVER.
Wow! I’m so pleased! Thank you for being here, it’s really appreciated
What an incredibly raw talent - very impressive
Thanks so much!
Being in video production, I have a deep respect for what you have accomplished. Congratulations!
Thanks so much! Great to get support from people in video production!

Thank you, hopefully I’ll get to those numbers one day! It is amazing what you can do on your own or in a small team if you put enough effort in
Incredible work.
Thanks so much for the supportive words! Really hoping to make something different and special, can’t wait to make and share more!

Thank you for the kind words, glad you’re enjoying them!

Totally agree.
your story is so similar to mine .. was making videos for others, a young family ect and what happened in covid and so right why make videos for others when you can focus on yourself and see your rewards! love the videos they are epic .. and you have the most calming voice .. keep going!
Insane, I'm glad you moved into video because your passion for it really shows. I would have guessed you used Unreal but I'm blown away you can do this in Blender. Well done!
Thank you! Blender is remarkably powerful and fast if you use it in the right ways
I have just introduced your videos to my online grade 8 natural science class. Between COVID and the over easy access to information on the internet, learners have lost the ability to imagine. These videos are brilliant, you have encompassed your passion and the beauty of science into visually stunning and relatable dialogues.
Well if nothing else you have the most relaxing voice that fits brilliantly with your videos👍
Thank you! Sleep stories incoming haha!
You knocked your first videos out of the park. I’m rooting for you and your channel, and hope more and more people can experience the same feelings I had while watching them!
Thank you! I’m so pleased you felt that kind of connection with it! Cheers
Thank you😊
You have found the best way to explain and engage. Proportions, sizes, dimensions, I love it. Keep the excellent work!
Also you have the perfect voice for this.. you draw everyone in and keep us spellbound!
Thanks so much, that’s very kind!
All of your videos are top notch, incredible, and absolutely breathtaking.
Thank you for the time and effort you put into your passion
You’re very much welcome, I’m just so pleased they’re resonating with people such as yourself, enough to write such a kind comment even. Cheers!
Good luck and of course always have a backup plan and/or source of some income, it’s taken me 3 years or more to make money from this
GIZ, i barely have words to describe how amazing this videos are, thanks so much for doing it, i'm so glad i found this channel!
It's just you that makes these videos? That seriously blew my mind!

How wonderful, thank you for the highest praise possible! Carl was the best
Your work is sick man, I really admire and respect self taught people but you are in another league. Thank you for your content, never stop it!
Thanks so much for the positivity!
I'm happy I found your channel, everything looks so professional, it's amazing to know that all the work was done by one passionate person❤

Yeah, do this. Your videos are awesome.
Thank you! Going to keep working on them for as long as I can!

A degree in engineering and the creativity from being a photographer - that's a potent combination. I wish you the very best.
Thank you! It’s been really helpful in travelling down this VFX journey
Amazing...
Your channel is the only channel I subscribed after only watching one video less than a minute, that mean how amazing your production was
Your work is FANTASTIC and deeply stimulating to watch even if it is a top I'm already familiar with. I'm SO grateful to have found this channel.
Thank you! Great to have you here, yes I definitely want to make them interesting to people who already know the topic, to try and show subjects many of us know well but in a way they haven’t seen before.
I love your channel. Some of the best presentations I've ever seen about our universe.
Thank you
Dude the courage it takes to create with such raw passion, especially when you’re still learning, is nothing short of inspiring.
+1 sub.
Thank you so much for doing these videos! One of the best RUclips channels I have come across. Congratulations!
Your 'how big is the milky way' is something I will never forget. Thank you for all the hard work. Looking forward to more videos.
Love your videos. So mindblown by the fact that you learned VFX so quickly. The black hole video is insane, I think it should be awarded.
From the first video I thought you were a vfx guy from London that went rogue
Very inspiring.
Thank you 🌌
The writing, the scales, the animation, everything is just so good.
U just restored something in me that was lost a long time ago. Watching your videos made me realise how much i love learning 🥹
Thank you sir🙏🏾
What a wonderful comment, thank you so much for taking the one to write it and I’m very proud that I could help nudge you towards that feeling, it’s really my highest goal.
Your videos are completely mind blowing in so many ways from the science, to the curiosity, to the quality, to your great voice - please keep going. Took me less than a minute of one of them to subscribe, fastest I've ever subscribed to any channel.
Ive watched a couple of your videos now and you have Earned my subscription. Great content and brilliant videography.
3 years of experience and getting these result is great. Congratulations man, I'm especially impressed with the face scan and mocap quality.
