Is there anyway to fasten grill/egg to table to prevent theft?

Great question - I imagine its possbile to lock it around the handle. has this been a problem for you?

@@smokehammerstudio no theft yet...old grill now. Low level small theft so far. But no security, property backs up to open area. And people can see into our yard from the street. Thanks 😊

Do you know when part two may be released? Will it include how to make the concrete pieces? Table is really cool, thanks!

Working on part 2 now, planning to get out next week or just after thanksgiving. We havent done these videos before so its taking a bit longer than we expected but were committed to getting out as soon as we can! Our goal is to release a video every 1-2 weeks for this build. And yes were def including the concrete pour.

Has anyone built this table for use with a Vision Kamado Professional Grill and What has to be modified for to fit? I see that it is designed for a L BGE or a Kamado Joe Classic but * Must be modified to fit 2017 Classic Joe 2... I appreciate the information... I am still gathering supplies today and want to start on this build... Thank You

In the middle of the build. DO NOT USE THESE PLANS. I’m not sure what magic fairy dust he uses to make things line up right, but I don’t have any. I could write a book on how many problems I’ve encountered. Most importantly, it won’t work with a Kamado Joe Classic II
    You’ve been warned

Ryan Grubb, is it the opening of the concrete countertop that won't fit the kamado Joe classic 2? I'm guessing it's the size of the hinge? I'm planning on building the 84" but trying to figure out if there's anything in the plans that need updating. What's the difference between the free plans and the Sketch up? I have no problem in buying the sketchup if it adds great detail and more step by step instructions.

The problem is the depth and width. My math says it’s about 5.5 inches too low so I raised the lower portion by about 4” and will get the rest using a paver. The entire Joe has to sit above the countertop because of the hinge.
I could write a book on the problems I had with this build. I love the design but I think some more work needs to go into the plans to help the DIY crowd.
Mine is done except for the countertop which I’m going to do in 2 weeks.

I also used the free plans. Don’t know about the sketch up. I’m not much for RUclips comments. Is this private? If it is, send me your email address or phone number and we can discuss.

Ryan Im truely sorry you had such a hard time with the plans. This table was designed before KJ updated their hinge system with KJC2. On the plans it clearly states the models its intended for, and Ive received a lot of emails from people who have build for KJ classic and have had nothing but success. Again, sorry for your frustration, and will add a note that you will need to make adjustment to for the new model. The goal of S&H was to help fellow kamado enthusiasts build tables, this isnt a full time thing for me and more of a fun side project, so thank you for bringing this up and helping to contribute to the community. Let me know if theres anything I can do to help you out. best- mike
