Yup l noticed throughout the video he takes his own personal taste or lack of knowledge of how something works as if that is fact. Way too biased for doing this type of review. Won't bother watching any other reviews by this guy.
Your source button was not programmed, that is why it did not go to anything. Also, you are supposed to use the buttons on the steering wheel, not the ones on on the touch screen. I have had my Terrain for 2 weeks now and love it.
He forgot to mention this is the only SUV in it's class that offers 4G LTE Hotspot tech that completely does away with the need for rear seat DVD players. My daughter uses her LeapPad Ultra and has no need for a DVD player any more. I have a 2015 Terrain Denali with nav and I love it. He's right that it's quiet, much more so than the Escape/Rogue/Highlander that I cross-shopped and test drove. I opted for the 4 cyl after testing the V-6 and don't miss it at all. My previous vehicle was a Buick Enclave CXL and I like the Terrain better due to it being easier to maneuver and park. Styling isn't for everyone, but that's true with all vehicles.
Does this guy not realize that it's heck of a lot easier to change the stations from the steering wheel with just a press of a button?...... it makes life so much easier if you don't understand the controls on the radio. We own a 2014 GMC Terrain SLE-2 and have nothing wrong with it. Horrible review...
I liked that your review included things you disliked about the vehicle and I appreciated the honesty. It gave me a lot to think about while I'm deciding to purchase a used Terrain.
Referring to Levi Sherman's comment below.....Levi is r right. I love the control I have right there on the steering wheel. I was really surprised at how much can done using the steering wheel controls. I really only use the head unit controls when I'm not driving. I'm very happy with my Terrain.
I actually like the design of GMC - I never thought I would be thinking outside of Ford, but here I am thinking outside because of non-made-usa parts. That looks like a very comfortable car :).
GMD Terrain Denali is awesome, not for offroading or super luxury, but a nice drive. One thing you didn't touch on is the AC vents... the layout is horrible and there are no vents in the back. Otherwise, it's awesome! BTW the 6 cyl have more problems
If Gm put the soft touch on the doors and skip the dash then I'm pretty sure he would still bitch about it... And to be honest not everyone has a iPhone or iPad....idk just seems a little to picky to me even the mighty Cr-v has hard touch door panels with that said GM should redesign this very soon!
I have used the similar Terrain model (2015 with V6 engine) and I completely agree with you, especially about awful design of dashboard and control buttons on it - too many buttons in too small space and GM definitely needs to move the touchscreen display closer to the driver. Same goes for improper material selection - hard plastic on top of the door panels definitely needs to be replaced with softer grade of plastic. B.t.w, you mentioned difference in steering response - steering feels "better" on models with V6 engine because it uses hydraulic assist. The models with V4 engine get electric steering assist which feels different (less "road feedback").
He complained about the "source" button turning on the rear seat system. Push the button again and each time you get an option. Your options are AM, FM, XM, Bluetooth, etc.
The Terrain is a great small CUV, better than the CR-V with the available 3.6L 301 HP V6. But then again, the Acura RDX for the same price like the Terrain Denali has the 3.5L V6. It's really a toss up in this segment
I’m glad companies are going away from chrome. Black looks much better. The sport editions with black wheels and black accents look so much better in my opinion
This and the Equinox are in DIRE need of a redesign, they're both in their 6th year of the current model cycle, without barely a change to the powertains, and very little done to the interior/exterior over that time. Price keeps creeping up for the same model that's been on sale since mid-2009. Way to much money for a compact-ish SUV from last decade.
Terrible Video / Reviewer, Great Vehicle! I have a 2015 Terrain Denali with nav. and ours has the DVD players, which comes in handy for us. The Denali is so quiet, much more than my previous vehicle, the Buick Rendezvous. And it handles so much better and we love the styling, it's what attracted us towards it. (Styling much better than the Rendezvous). :-) It has better gas mileage which is good since fuel prices are climbing again this Spring / Summer. We are so excited to hit the road again!
Good review, i was rent this baby 5 days this is Monster, Fast Fast....... gas like you say not good bad bad bad reset the mpg on the hwy more than 10 time just 18mpg no more than that..
Would an umbrella stroller fit across the 2nd row foot-well? Edit: Got a '16 Denali, and yes, an umbrella stroller fits nicely in the 2nd row foot-well, where it's perfectly flat.
Um my stroller fits perfect that happens to be a jogging stroller..which is longer then the average stroller he just sounds bitter this is not an accurate video
jem em I agree,,,,,,I drove one of these yesterday, it was 37,000 and appeared to have everything this one has minus the rear entertainment system. If I wanted to have one to off road, and haul crap, I would buy it in a pick-up version.
Tesla losing money? lol thats why the guys from google, facebook, linkedin, and apple have all invested in Tesla. Google has also invested in SolarCity which is working with Tesla to build solar panels across America. SolarCity and Tesla are both run by Elon Musk. The future is electric not oil/gas.
I have a 2011 4 Cylinder Terrain and I average 23.2 MPG. My mother has a 2015 V6 Terrain (same engine as this video) and she gets 22.1 MPG. The difference is really not that drastic in my experience.
Rear Seat Entertainment Systems are as retro as putting 8 track players in a car. We live in a tablet, smartphone generation manufacturers need to stop installing RSES their a waste of time and money. For the price of them you can a get a couple of iPad's...
His head almost touches the roof. I think he jacks the seats all the way up in every car. He doesn't seem to understand this is an older suv on its way out
Its now 5 years later, now tell us about all the recalls, and how the Head gaskes need replacing, and how the car blows excessive oil! You can have a date with a beautifull girl, but she turns out to be a Karen!
wtf... I dont like your opinion of the terrain look... I love the exterior design, it's like a big size pick-up truck on a compact SUV.
I love the boxy look and fat front end
Your opinion of the looks of the Terrain has no effect on whether I will buy one. A review should include facts, not only your opinion
...AMEN!!!

Thank you for the info!

Even though these things may not be intended for extensive off road use, a Terrain AWD can handle remarkable in moderate off road conditions
That's what I like....a nit picker with an honest review. Kudos!
I liked that your review included things you disliked about the vehicle and I appreciated the honesty. It gave me a lot to think about while I'm deciding to purchase a used Terrain.
The forward collision warning in my terrain denali beeps and puts on the brakes for me.
When I bought my 2016 terrain Denali I switch out my wheels and got window tint and replace the factory radio cause I can’t roll with factory
love my Terrain
Referring to Levi Sherman's comment below.....Levi is r right. I love the control I have right there on the steering wheel. I was really surprised at how much can done using the steering wheel controls. I really only use the head unit controls when I'm not driving. I'm very happy with my Terrain.
I love my Terrain....especially the exterior styling. Sadly the 2020 Terrain looks like a Kia.
I actually like the design of GMC - I never thought I would be thinking outside of Ford, but here I am thinking outside because of non-made-usa parts. That looks like a very comfortable car :).
Looking for a grown man whining about a car? this is the channel for you.

So, if you have so many negative things to say about it, why did you buy it? I don't understand that.

I personally love the boxy look of this vehicle.

There is no V-4 engine. It's an inline 4.
y move the touchscreen closer when all the controls are on your steering wheel. cant get much closer than that.
You ouch the source botton on the steering wheel to switch "sources"
He complained about the "source" button turning on the rear seat system. Push the button again and each time you get an option. Your options are AM, FM, XM, Bluetooth, etc.
Wow so glad I'm not married to this guy lol
Good review man.
Like the car just to expensive $42,000 is Mercedes and Cadillac money not gmc especially terrain money no matter what model
Is it a good car
This, the Chevy Equinox, and the Cadillac SRX variant are all old now. I don't know why anyone would get any of these over more modern competitors.
The Murano has my interest if I were shopping for a FWD crossover. My money will soon go for an Infiniti QX70, BMW X5 or Mercedes-Benz GLE (ML).
The Terrain is a great small CUV, better than the CR-V with the available 3.6L 301 HP V6. But then again, the Acura RDX for the same price like the Terrain Denali has the 3.5L V6. It's really a toss up in this segment
$40,000 and no smart key? I believe even corollas offer that now
I’m glad companies are going away from chrome. Black looks much better. The sport editions with black wheels and black accents look so much better in my opinion
Awesome review! Thanks Chris for letting us know the good and the bad.

Source button works, you just have to hit again to tab thru the sources.
you sure complain a lot.. I like the vehicle but for future reference don't complain so much

Unleaded in NJ is $2.03.
1.87 in texas
2.09 MN
1.53 Crawfordsville, IN
7.62 Essex, London. United Kingdom
what a fucking joke honestly
My man must have some wimpy elbows. Toughen up son. (@ 7:35 mark)
Wait no push button start?
Idk
+Kingjay814 It probably does have push button start. I have a '13 SLT2 (V6 AWD) and it has push button.
The reviewer would be better served focusing on the vehicle rather than predicting international commodity pricing.
Um my stroller fits perfect that happens to be a jogging stroller..which is longer then the average stroller he just sounds bitter this is not an accurate video
was this second generation?
why don't you just say.." I want to slam this car"..worthless review.
Ohhh brotherrrr this guy STINKS
Watch that oil level.
Dude ehy you doing a reveiw
Looks like a squashed Dodge Magnum suffering from water retention.
you shouldn't do a review where every angle you put a negative feed back and comment
jem em I know right I agree
jem em I agree,,,,,,I drove one of these yesterday, it was 37,000 and appeared to have everything this one has minus the rear entertainment system. If I wanted to have one to off road, and haul crap, I would buy it in a pick-up version.
oh yeah, i would buy a new volvo xc90 tho hehehe
U complain alot. Wats ur perfect car
Oh no... his elbow get sore after a while. life isn't fair for you my dear friend
I love my car
Why the heck would anyone get the Denali anyways?? Its really the same
WHAT! gas is 1.70 here! Lol has been low for a while definitely not 3.00 nation wide
Tesla Model X is going to kill off all these dinosaur companies that rely on old engine technology.
Its like comparing Nokia to iPhone/Google Android
Tesla losing money? lol thats why the guys from google, facebook, linkedin, and apple have all invested in Tesla. Google has also invested in SolarCity which is working with Tesla to build solar panels across America.
SolarCity and Tesla are both run by Elon Musk. The future is electric not oil/gas.
Good for them William, bad for Tesla and us, one less choice at the market in' it?
Well, here it is 2018 and Tesla Model X hasn't killed off any dinosaur company relying on old engine technology....lol
Whats the mpg on a v6
I have a 2011 4 Cylinder Terrain and I average 23.2 MPG. My mother has a 2015 V6 Terrain (same engine as this video) and she gets 22.1 MPG. The difference is really not that drastic in my experience.
More than a new MB GLA!
Very poor review. Reporter is annoying as hell

Get a different car then geez. I don’t think you said one good thing about it.
This review is wayyyy too negative. In one breath you like the car but in the other breath, you hate everything about it. Yikes
This thing is ugly. For 38K, Id rather get a Grand Cherokee Limited
Yep; 38K is too much; could a well appointed new model Honda Pilot for that price or a little less. Pilot compares favorably with its Acura cousin MDX
+Tony Yayo sex ر وس
For the price you get a lot with this vehicle, but man its fugly.
Its now 5 years later, now tell us about all the recalls, and how the Head gaskes need replacing, and how the car blows excessive oil! You can have a date with a beautifull girl, but she turns out to be a Karen!
zzz...zz... zzz....
So ungrateful .. horrible review.

Overpriced GM garbage
I’m about to get a 2015 and I’m really excited I’d like to buy a brand new one but I can’t afford it 🥲
It is an ugly looking vehicle.
