Completely disagree on your take for the lions vs Vikings. The lions defense is ranked 4th in dvoa I understand the concern with losing hutch but one player is not responsible for a top 5 defense. I think the Lions shutdown the Vikings run game, shoot Jones might not even play… hockenson is a threat but the lions linebackers have been elite against tight ends. Finally this lions offense is MILES better than the Vikings. I think the lions handle business and make a statement. 38-21 lions.

Of those teams only the Packers scored more than 17 points -- and that was in part because the Vikings "gifted" the Pack a TD on a muffed punt. Whether TJ Hockenson plays, or not, Mr Ace, the Vikings on the field will remember that it was #31 who injured Hockenson on a tackle at the knees. I hope & pray that this makes the game more intense, but not more dirty.

The bottom line is the Vikings score points on offense when they run the ball well. When they don’t, they tend to give up huge leads. They did this both against the packers and jets. The Lions haven’t been ran on in years. They have one of the best run defenses in the nfl. The Vikings will need to score a lot and I think they will early. But once that second half comes around the lions are going to separate with the run game. Vikings are good but this is the week they get exposed. They’re the 3rd best team in the north.

They've surprised me every game by getting off to a great start. I suspect Brian Flores has anticipated this, and he's going to try to make this difficult for the Lions --- despite the fact that the Lions probably have the best offensive tackle in the league. 3d behind Chicago? It comes down to coaching and personnel. Like the bucs beat the lions but if they met in the playoffs I’m fully confident the lions would win that game. That how I feel about GB vs Vikings. At the end of the day I take every team in the north seriously, I just think that there’s a lot of early season mirages and fans fall for things in September that don’t apply in December / January.
