"No music interludes all of the time." - I have and will always immediately exit any fishing video that has obnoxious loud or long musing past 5 seconds of intro - it's a turnoff and many still don't get that. We're here for the relevant content - not someone's garbage taste in music.

You're breaking my heart. I live in S.C. now, moved here last July. Semi-retired. Had to get out of NY insanity. BUT I miss my Catskills. Used to tear up (gently) the Esopus on the other side of the Catskills, but spent many days fishing that area with Ken Tutalo out of the Baxter House. He's a master of those waters. Did many a kayak trip down the W. Branch launching out of Al's.
Miss that water, those mountains, the smells and of course the great Trout Fishing. Keep those Vids coming.
Hope to get up there in October if not this year, definitely next year. Tight lines !!

It's in southern NY, South of Orange County and Dutchess County that you find the woke in concentration. Where I was from in Hastings on Hudson it was a world of sick.

Yes! That was my thought Dan. We were out west a few summers back on the Henry's Fork on the Snake and that is where I understood the importance of 4x in these situations (rivers where 2' trout live.) . Some old timers (I'm almost there myself) were busting my chops because I was fighting my trout too long (it was late summer and water temps where on the rise). Finally they yelled at me and said "if you don't have on a 3x get out of the river." I was using a 5x at the time. In conclusion - if i'm on the Deleware and nymphing I'm using a 4x .

It had a chunk missing from its tail so she was no spring chicken and not a stocked brown but a natural.
On the same day in the same spot inside 1 hour I got the 24 in brown and a 16’ rainbow and the biggest brook trout of my life which was pushing 16 inches and they dont come any better it was a beauty brooky.
I only had to sacrifice one child and take up devil worship to get that brook trout and it’s $600 for mounting my sin.
At the dinner table the empty seat my child once sat I’ll put the fish mount and I think my old lady is starting to resent me,
She will never understand the sacrifice I made that day but all my dude friends do no need for explaining we just wink it out .

I've never heard this before. How are you supposed to grab them then? You can't grab them by the mouth. I get that trout can be fragile. But sometimes people take it to the extreme and the trout will die if you even look at it wrong lol. Trout are a little more resilient than people give them credit for.

BTW don't get freaked out about the campgrounds on the East branch . I was joking. It doesn't harsh out the river . The stretch above the Sunoco station going upstream is all good water , and good for Iso and BWO dry fly action . If you continue upstream, eventually you'll see a brown DEC pulloff sign and a narrow foot path straight through a field that lead to the awesomest pool and riffle run ever. I used to have it all to myself, as you had to walk 1/2 mile up to it upcurrent oh but no. Capitalism occured again. but even with the hoople access its still a great pool . Probably has a name to it by now. No, the numbers of fish isn't like the West, but they can be quite big and impressive. But again, 600 or higher flows . the wading is easier than the WB, you'll see black bears swimming , bald eagles, tons of deer, and it's just incredibly gorgeous , as it winds around, often with mist on the water. And it smells great because the water is so damn pure. Once I learned it, it stole my heart , and it's a respite from the gnarliness of the WB and the even more insane Mainstem. The Beaver Del diner is okay for foodage. RT 30 is also a really fun country drive.
