In all honesty, I find this to be one of the most disturbing endings. Why? Because it means a time paradox was created, destroying almost everything. Think about it: How do they get there? By the gates. How do they find the gates? Because of Lavos taking Schala. They did this at a point in time where Schala's disappearance wasn't assured, meaning it's death would result in the time gates not appearing, meaning Lavos lives, but then, events lead to his death, meaning it dies... Basically, a few beings survive the paradox, and nothing else.
i think this ending is hilarious lol. it’s a big “fuck you” to anyone who does this ending. don’t wanna play the game properly? here ya go roll credits
I honestly think that this is the example of a Japanese "bad ending". This is the one where the party succeeds in saving the world, but they don't live to tell about it.
I like this ending! It's really funny, I don't know why there are so many people who don't like it. I mean, it's not like this was the only ending to the game!
i like that song but this ending coulda had like the heros fighting the monsters like a mini game where both sides have like unlimited health and hp you jus get to fight or something
Seems like Belthasar was correct after all. (let's not even get into the fact Belthasar was a lunatic even before going officially "crazy" in the Post-Apocalypse... just look at Cross for his egomaniacal schemes).
