- Join me for the final leg of our virtual cab ride/journey along the long-abandoned branch line between Brinkburn and Rothbury in Northumberland UK.
There's an amazing 1.8 mile-long aerial ropeway, an impressive rock cutting, and lots more very "model-worthy" locations which YOU could replicate on YOUR model railroad.
And coming up next...
* How I used all this online research to come up with...
* The final track plans for all the stations along the route!
Woo hoo!
Sounds like fun!
Cheers for now.

I thought I'd never get here! The forty-minute real-time trip down the line to Rothbury took us... almost 40 minutes to do online! But... it took me several MONTHS to do in Google Earth and iMovie !!! PHEW! But who am I to complain... the line itself took only NINE months to build in the first place! LOL - I have had great fun doing this, and I am very interested in the area, so it's all a good "learning" experience for me!
I didn't even realize that Rothbury had had a railway line.United use to have a little bus depot there too,I think that it's a vets now.
Thanks for excellent the Rothbury branch line videos - well worth all the effort.
I really enjoyed them, especially since I live between Morpeth and Rothbury.
Great historical series. Really enjoyed it so far and I am really looking forward to the next video. Thanks for sharing. Dave
Thanks Dave! The next one's a DOOZIE, too ;) I get into some actual track planning for this branch line ARGHHHH!
@@saspry mmm
I love this part of the world, thank you for making. Just one small point, the river Coquet is pronounced in the local dialect as ‘kurr-kut’.
And here's me thinking it was a French word.... LOL. Thanks Rachel
