This worked for me on windows 11
Although when i proceeded to format my second flash drive the format disk message didnt show up even after retrying for many times.
What i did is that opened my other pc with windows 10 on it and the message popped up immidiately after plugging the flash drive

I have a drivers USB stick that appears as a CD drive in Windows (11), but it doesn't show up under "LIST DISK". Could you please help me?
I want to format it for use a normal storage USB stick.

aw man i had hope for this working and i got to the part of unplugging and replugging and the format disk promt didnt come up, i tried it twice and restarted my pc any help :(

you have to wait like 10 minutes if your pc is not very fast

Get a program called rufus and format the flash drive in it then the usb will pop up

Well this does not work for me on windows 11, I got tails os that has errors on it and I want to format it back to original and re install tails yet my computer doesn't see the USB, and doing what you said still doesn't show the usb

I used an external hard drive, didn't know I can't use it anymore after downloading tails. Did not work for me, tried multiple times, took of the hard drive multiple times and put it back again.
