I just ordered the 16x8 Legendary Wheels for my 65 coupe. Any suggestions on tire size? I was thinking 215/55/16

215 way too skinny lol. Try 235 or 245 at the very least

@@jordanposvar3616 Will i have to modify anything for it not to rub?

@@panbuffman No idea. Maybe not if the total ride height is proper enough. Check out tirerack.com for specs on what might fit your car. But im guessing 235, 245, or 255 would fit as long as the sidewall is small enough.

@@jordanposvar3616 Okay. Thanks! Tire rack has 225/55s listed as the only ones for the 16" wheel... And CJ's site says this for their wheel/tire package *For 1965-1966, 225/55-16 tires are recommended with 16X8” wheels but will require modifications for correct fit.

@@panbuffman It may be because the ride height of the wheel is too high so it would hit the fender, im not sure, i could be wrong. I dont know much about older cars and fitment. Try 245 or 255 with a lower sidewall and see if that helps. Also maybe try to find a forum online or something where guys share their old mustangs with their wheel dimension combo?
