You seemed to forget that Luffy has a resistant to most poisons/venom @0:12. Flampe used a poison dart to paralyze Luffy, even then he didn't get fully paralyzed.

Snake Man is the best counter to Katakuri because of its incredible speed even Katakuri sees ahead in time for 5 seconds he cannot dodge that so much speed the prediction rate is impossible so he is fighting the Snake Man blinded by his future sight

I just noticed that luffy won because King Cobra connected first and messed up katakuri Buzz Cut Mochi! I loved this fight so much one of the best in anime History
I like to think that the reason Luffy won the final clash, was because King Cobra hit first, which in turn affected the force and trajectory of the buzzcut mochi, meaning he took less damage from the buzzcut. as while Luffy's attack followed through, Katakuri's was interrupted mid swing.
At this point, based on animation it was the best episode ever so far, but take a note, and save this number “1015” thats the best episode ever not just in One Piece but some can argue in all anime. Remember this when you get to that point.
This is a testament to Luffy's adaptiveness and combat genius. The fight started with him being severely outclassed by Katakuri and by the end of the fight he made it a tie/VERY narrow victory by Katakuri's own resignation. Dude tried Bounce-Man and it didn't work so he could've immediately used Snake-Man after the 10 minute cooldown since it's way faster than Bounce-Man but he also started to notice how Future Sight works so he waited until he got a good grasp on it before unleashing Snake-Man. The speed of Gear 2nd on his Gear 4th level haki along with his newly acquired Future Sight is what made Snake-Man so incredibly strong that if he fought anyone else other than Katakuri but below Yonko, Luffy would've no/mid diffed them. Doflamingo was lucky his royal ass didn't get to experience this beat down.
katakuri's the guy who hates shounen protag -there's already a flashback -there's already new bgm -there's already new technique -the mc already keeps saying he's beating the villain and the villain still beating the ass of the mc
