First, why the trap and not the Quick-play? How you getting a sinful spoil in gy/banishment? Second, some brew of white forest can end on Silvia, St. And Moa on your turn + the White forest/Azamina trap. That decreases significantly the ceiling. Also, you can't summon mudragon to go into dragoon (L to pure) or play the synchro 8 that is a centurion starter (L hybrid), you can't also play chaos angel (L going second). The card on itself is good, a great way to bait handtraps and also a 1 card starter for the entire deck, but is it really worth the decrease in ceiling?
@@apollyon1311 The issue with white forest isn’t, and really has never been the ceiling. In my eyes, the issue with the deck is every interruption 2 for 1-ing your level 2’s. I feel like people are overlooking a lot about the actual design of K9 - #17 "Ripper". People are saying "Oh, it's K9, they must be dogs" or saying that Ripper looks like a bear or even a mouse, while ignoring other big parts of her design. She's got round ears, a narrow tail, and more importantly, she has sickles on her arms and is unleashing a big wind-slash barrage in front of herself. She's a weasel girl, likely based on the kamaitachi, a yokai in Japanese mythology portrayed as a sickle-wielding weasel (or sometimes a group of them). You might also recognize that myth as the basis of the Yosenju deck, another bunch of windy weasels. We could be looking at an archetype of all kinds of different yokai as police, or different roles in general, not just straight-up furries. Or maybe even based on all kinds of different myths. We'll have to wait and see, but seeing a bunch of people saying "Oh they're just gonna a bunch of dog girls" is a bit reductive.
Well, she is probably inspired in the Kamaitachi, but the name "K9" is 100% a reference to police dogs. While it doesn't imply the Monsters will all be canine (weasels aren't), I think it's somewhat safe to assume the archetype will be 100% furries and animal inspired machines (like the Dinomorphia mechs). It's probable, starting from the Kamaitachi that they will all be inspired from mythology. In Japanese mythology there is the Inugami, the kitsune and the bake-danuki which are all canine yokai and likely inclusions.
@@felipebarreto97 weasels are "caniforms", so my guess is that thats what the name means, and the members will all be dog *relatives* rather than dogs proper
I completely agree with the Archetype-Name Single-Name thing. I am STILL mad that they changed The Fiendsmith to Fiendsmith Engraver. Completely ruined the aura.

Unless I blatantly missed something, Diabellstar and Diabellze get their final forms and don’t use them in any cards, and St. Azamina becomes actual Azamina and is defeated in a single card Between the random Goblin Biker stuff and the true final battle being resolved in literally one card, I can’t help but think they either didn’t care about this to begin with or they wanted to just get it overwith
They are ending with the current series early in ALIN, so maybe they wanted to wrap up the lore with it so they could start a new lore with the next series
I wonder if snake eye being so toxic in japan was a reason they decided to end things early. Like maybe people were just mad at the diabellstar lore by proxy
We have seven separate cards with "Genesis" in the name, one being Tiras, Keeper of Genesis (Tiras is just like, the name of an actual angel in the book of genesis. So if that one makes it through the archetype name can). Re-Cover is a significantly better localization of the card name than Re-Bible Imo. The original pun in japanese is that Re-Bibal and Revival are pronounced basically identically. Re-cover manages to get a pretty similar pun across while conveying the original meaning of the card. Re-bible still sounds kinda like revival in English but it's not as obvious.
Is it just me or Diabellstar lore was smaller than visas? Like i can only think of 5 archetypes: Snake eye, Goblin biker, Azamina, White forest and "Diabell"
I do hope that we at least get 2 more goblin biker monsters. After the initial wave, they’ve only gotten like 3 cards. Every other archetype got like 6 or something crazy.
From what I've seen the "Identity" of materiactor is to use to ability to remove material to your hand in order to add handtraps to your hand for additional disruption.
5:33 regenesis also sorta reminds me of Therions - something that can be its own deck, but is more likely meant to be used in conjunction with other decks that have monsters with the 2500 stats
"Let's floodgate the most used traps after either: 1 - using 5 cards to bring it out; 2 - I'm already in the middle of my combo that's already past those choke point. That's incredibly broken specially to bring out a card that stops my opponents' monster from activating... After they were already activated."
Materiactor kinda reminds me of that book series, and movie "Annihilation". Some meteorite crashes on Earth, but turns out it's some alien material that emits something around it that makes it impossible to study. With time, its area of influence expands, and we see it altering matter, and lifeforms that come in contact with that miasma. There are materiactors that kinda look like animals, but wrong; like old AI pictures where the closer you look, the more eyes, and deformations appear.
The part that seems different is that it doesn't mutate surrounding life: the Meltthrough artwork shows Gigaboros emerging from Prima's mouth, while Annulus shows a baby Gigadra coming out of one of Gigaboros' glowing orbs. Basing on that, the way it works looks more like Prima creates the monsters itself rather than affecting the already existing ones.
45:30 for your next series where you duel viewers the goal should be to make the funniest/jankiest/winningest Engine Mashup Pile (like Horus Bystial Resonator). it'll be like that one episode of Dueltaining where you wanted "normal" decks. it can be called something like "Mashup Melee"
I think one of the bigger issues with the Diabell lore, especially when compared to previous lore set ups like Branded and World Legacy for example, is that there didn't truly feel like many standalone decks it produced. With Branded lore for example, you had many different decks each playing a specific role to the overall story of the lore that helped to further enhance how unique each theme felt even years later when some were made of engines to other decks like with Branded being a compilation of themes mostly focused on Despia and even Bystials. Dogmatika, Tri-Brigades, Springans, Despia, Swordsoul, Icejade, Therions, Sprights, and Bystials even for how some had less meta relevance than others still had that sense of personality to them that helped make them stand out. Whereas with the Diabell lore at least as of this point, there doesn't feel like much to make the decks stand out from one another. Snake Eye is its own unique theme yeah but that is also enhanced by the Sinful Spoils engines, Goblin Bikers are off doing their own thing for the most part to where I'm shocked they are even technically part of the lore, and White Forest is this unholy frappe of their own cards, Azamina, and basically anything else listed as Sinful Spoils to the point where it all just blends together and I can't see much else. Cause of that the lore just feels like there are at most 3 unique decks out there even though we are on set 8/12 in Series 12. Maybe they will continue to give more across the coming sets but we shall see.
Sinful Spoils was a step up from Visas but still a far cry from Branded or even World Legacy, it doesn't help that the pacing was glacially slow and almost nothing actually happened in it Also, the reason they're all named Diabell-stuff is that the head witch was called Diabell, so then Astellar and Elize renamed themselves Diabellstar and Diabellze in her honor as a way of taking on the mantle, thats why the Diabellstar backstory card of her training arc is called "Like the Diabell", she's becoming more like her mentor
You're right, there's no way that's her name. Diabellestar the Sin Adjudicator in Japanese is "Danzai no Diabellestar", which not only sounds better but also doesn't translate well into English since we don't have a one to one translation of the word "Danzai". The most accurate translation would have been "Diabellestar the Convictor" or "Judgement Diabellestar". Other translations could have been "Diabellestar the Punisher", "Diabellestar of Condemnation", "Credence Diabellstar", or my personal favorite, "Diabellstar the Executioner", which are all significantly more metal and feel more in line with the card art. I assume they had to pick the salted vanilla version of the name to avoid overlap with other archetypes and/or to avoid copyright infringement of other franchises.

Based on the ATK gain effects of Gigaboros/Prima and the ways to get cards in rotation with the Continuous/Field spells, Materiactor's "plan" seems to be: make big beatstick Gigaboros and get multiple cards in your hand with the help of the spells and Exagard's 2 material adding, place Prima in scale then run over things. Is it a good plan? No, but it's my best guess for what they want to do.
You're sleeping on the two card power combo with Curse of the Ancient turtle. Changshi and Curse in hand, activate Curse, banish Changshi, send Shinobi Necro to grave, Changshi effect summon self, banish Necro, necro effect summon self, changshi second effect to foolish another zombie, possibly mezuki to activate shinobi necros draw effect if you had another monster in grave, synchro into a level 8 like felgrand, draco berserker, scarred dragon archfiend, Omega. Does anyone know how to play against White Forest Azamina? Every time I play against them I hit them with 3 handtraps and they still end up getting an omni negate, a trap card that can remove like 3 of my cards off the field at once, plus other monsters and recoup resources for next turn.

47:41 i feel like the K9 cards will be rank 9 because of the name
Yo generaider K9
You're sleeping on the two card power combo with Curse of the Ancient turtle. Changshi and Curse in hand, activate Curse, banish Changshi, send Shinobi Necro to grave, Changshi effect summon self, banish Necro, necro effect summon self, changshi second effect to foolish another zombie, possibly mezuki to activate shinobi necros draw effect if you had another monster in grave, synchro into a level 8 like felgrand, draco berserker, scarred dragon archfiend, Omega. God I love zombies.
20:20 "Goblin Bikers Blast Off!"
of course the white forest field spell doesn't work with azamina, that's the flavor of the card, they got rid of the demons that were in the forest
People are gonna crash out so hard when TCG localizes the name for the animal girl cop deck
Red eyes is my true love for yugioh, and I'm going to only say this once. I WANT IT TO HAVE AN ACTUAL STRATAGY! I just want to play pure Red Eyes and be able to win against the other two DM decks.
Man I wish they’d print a card that lets zombies normal summon multiple times per turn. Maybe a Zombie World retrain?
You should check out Moissa Wight.
The duke of demise is a card that does this, not sure how easy it is to summon though
We can play the WATER one for a free (?) negate in Icejade, we're so back
Shadow severing strike is just the Weather support
Funnily enough regenesis has synergy with some mekk knights
a couple of generaider cards and niche archytypes have 2500/2500
Konami where is the darklord support at?
22:03 Wait for after Yuma Regionals
Diabellstar coming for Voltanis’ throne.
I mean if we're saying Red-eyes is more successful based on a few cards being used in meta decks, I raise you Magicians' Souls.
Iblee lock will be so easy with Minimalian in Maliss
queen diabel's name is regina I believe
D.D. Post is the funnyest artwork omg xD
we need a rank up magic leather force into big gay goblin bikers for our last wave of support
0:11 golden castle support?
Fr hope it is need more support for gren majiu decks
Every time someone ask me about yugioh I NEED to talk about the goblin lore
Like well have a okay-ish story about the diabel and her curse trying to purify the white forest. And thennn you look to the right you see the goblin bikers just riding around...yup great
Going Bonkers is still in business and but it is only called Bonkers.
03:10 when the main character says the name of the show soyyyy
21:36 This actually hurt my feelings man
VENDRED MENTION
Hey white forest might be tier 2 with this support
I smell and unban of Zoodiac drident with K9 being a beast/beast warrior XYZ deck
Drident unban would be so nice
i just realized. their the jewish cards. and they support the original anime boss monsters, blue eyes and dark magician... they literally support the old testament of ygo
You got it wrong JoRo, The Bible is the first Fanfic, Christianity is the fandom based off that fanfic.
Damnnnnn already with a new Deckbuild pack?! Didn't we just get Crossover breakers?
Often times they'll release a DBP and only give it time for 1 wave of support. This happened with Wild Survivors (Transcendosaurus, Vanquish Soul, Nouvelles). So it's not out of the ordinary. VASM wasn't out of the ordinary either, AMDE also got several waves of support
except for 2024, OCG used to make 2 a year (March and August), they're just going back to that rate
You cant activate monsters with 0 attack from hand deck or grave
wait does Azamina stop hand traps
yup. Ghost Sisters, Effect Veiler, Droll, mirror match, Yubel, etc.
Yeah, but by the time you make it what good does it do to stop hand traps?
can the next Yu-Gi-Oh card "story" please be for a mostly Machine archetype? ;-; My Machinas need friends...
Does anyone know how to play against White Forest Azamina? Every time I play against them I hit them with 3 handtraps and they still end up getting an omni negate, a trap card that can remove like 3 of my cards off the field at once, plus other monsters and recoup resources for next turn.
What hand traps are you hitting them with? Unless they have a god hand white forest is not playing through three hand traps
@@thefricke05 Ash, Imperm, Veiler, Ghost Ogre, and Nib, pick any 3 of those
@@spectralsheepyeah, any of those three combined should stop them in their tracks without a perfect hand. Ash of imperm astellar, ash Elzette, ash or imperm rciela, ogre works on rciela astellar, or silvy best I’d say, and just nib them before they fusion summon for ilia silvy
@@thefricke05 I'll try to remember that when I am up against my 3rd White Forest Azamina player of the night on Edopro (seriously those guys and Crystron are everywhere)
@@spectralsheepif they’re using these new cards it might be a little harder, since there’s just a lot they can do. Ghost ogre on toy box if they run it is also good, and negating anything that has them send as cost is good, since they’ll be down one. You could also just shifter them
NARWHAL MENTIONED
Broke: Suship chef playing on a sushi board
Woke: Jesus playing the Jewish cards on a parchment paper
I will play the Regenesis guys with Eldlich. No, I don’t have a reason
This is a really stupid application for them but you can play the regenesis cards in machina decks since citadel has 2500 def and fortress has 2500 atk
Philias Diabell "confirming" that the story was yuribait all this time 😮💨
Am I the only one let down by these '3 storylines designed to cross over' archetypes? they really feel like a clutch to meet pack quota with filler cards.
I love Materiactor
They do have that Soy Chorizo thing at TJs still and it is in fact quite good. Way better than it has any right to be. I still eat pork and I eat that shit.
