Hiking One of Kauai's Toughest Trails Barefoot! Incredible Views

- Located on the Hawaiian Island of Kauai, this trail is a 6.4 mile out and back, with over 1500 feet of elevation change. It will kill your legs, take plenty of water! The trail takes an average of 3.5 to 4 hours to complete, and chances are extremely high you'll be rained on. Considering elevation, it's much cooler up here than at sea level, it's a wise move to leave warm clothes and a towel in the car, you'll want them, (and food) when you get back! We hope this video gives you a real look at what to expect, hopefully the trail will feel familiar when you get there!

I’m an old geezer that left your part of the country back in’78 but still have a large part of my heart stuck in the woods of lower western Kentucky.
My older brother moved to the island of Kuawai about 25 years ago.
I grew up on the banks of the Gasper river, a tributary of the Barren River. So much of my life is still missing searching the woods for morel mushrooms and the wild strawberries that I cannot get my hands or mouth on anymore. Oh, and some pawpaws, and some waterways that you could sight fish in.
I don’t know how to get a message to you other than this avenue for the time being, but LOVE seeing some of my old stomping grounds.

Really enjoying the videos. I was fortunate enough to be there back in the early 80's, I worked for the National Park Service out there. Your videos bring back some great memories. The most frustrating thing for me was taking all of the pictures and video and showing them when I got home. It didn't matter what you thought you had captured, it was never as breathtaking as actually being there. What ever you had to do or spend to get there, it will be worth it for the rest of your life. I hope you got the chance to do the Na Pali Coast Trail and see Kalalau beach. I won't be able to watch if you did it barefoot though, lol. That trail is one of my near death experiences. Great job with the videos you're posting. Big fan.
