Thank you so much Risayath, I never thought that someone would trust me like this and watch the entire series in sequence.
Yes so many interesting machine designs in the series are planned.

This series is really helpful for me,
How can we copy/make a design of cam Without using 3d scaning?
Plz make video or series on this topic

For Cam design: For cam design please fist make cam follower profile according to college classic subject theory of machine book. according to given parameters.
I will sure bring videos on this in future. but it will take time.

sir how about the accuarcy of result of solidworks motion analysis in order to calculate right torque for selection the required
    motor

      1. Try to set up the model closer to real-world as much as possible. Like define every "contact" their friction- ball screw nut friction, LM guides friction
      2. Apply mass load by applying gravity Instead of Fixed force, so that Solidworks can also consider the dynamics of mass during changing in velocity
      3. Setup motion in the graphic table, acceleration time velocity everything.
      4. Crank up Motion analysis results resolution settings. As much possible.
      5. Hope system will not give error

after finalizing the assembly how to fix interference detection errors or
does it matter or not ?

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  Год назад +2

Hi Jai, Interface detection tool just lets us know, where the inferences are, it's up to us, does it matter or not. For example if the ball screw and nut are giving interface error then this is okay. Because they are standard parts and we are aware it will be assembled correctly in actuality. But if some manufacturing parts interest each other then there is a problem that needs to be fixed.

Hello sir, currently I'm working on 1 project in that I need to design one actuator that are used to open & close heavy
doors in aircraft for various maintenance purposes. They maybe pneumatically, electro-hydraulically or electro-mechanically operated to lift the door weight. Post maintenance, they may be allowed to retract under the influence of the door’s self weight.
Here below there are terms and condition to designing the actuator:
Objective: A safe solution that can implemented to lower the door weight under the
influence of gravity at a controlled rate without use of any external source of power.
    Functional req:
➢ Actuator retraction rate shall be less than 25 mm/s anytime through out retraction
phase. The retraction time must fall within the range of 20 to 60 seconds.
    Architecture req:
➢ Proposed actuator needs to fit in a cylindrical envelope of Ø 80 mm, 1500 mm long
see figure for space envelope for
    Temperature req:
➢ Actuator shall be operable between -40 deg C to +80 deg C
    Duty req:
➢ Actuator shall be capable of 3 back-to-back operating cycle over the temperature
range mentioned above (one cycle = Fully open - fully close. Opening/ lifting of the door weight is not scope of this
    challenge)
    ...
Can you give me idea which mechanism is suitable for designing this actuator and How to add the self retraction approach in this mechanism means that without giving any external force?

    • @mastermechanicaldesign
      @mastermechanicaldesign  3 месяца назад +1

I guess there is mainly two self-retraction mechanisms could work. one is Hydraulic and one is spring. but Hydraulic would be absolutely better, use highly accurate flow control with flow sensor in hydraulic based actuator. to precisely control the retraction speed.

@@mastermechanicaldesign Can Ball Screw mechanism with operational servo motor work at above problem statement ? I mean it is a linear actuator and it can be work for self retraction? Could you pls suggest me the best solution?

Hye .. if you have good idea which laptop is good for Mechanical Design Engineer like like Basic software Solidworks , Autocad , Creo Inventor. But i also need the laptop which could handle the Assembly of around 1k -1.5k parts ... please if anyone have idea answer me

for Light work any Laptop with processor i5 or above is good enough, just consider SSD and at least 8 GB RAM, with dedicated Graphics Card. For heavy work, better to use customized PC or workstation.
