We were impacted by hurricane zeta and didn’t have power for 4 days. So we had to get creative to eat good! We made so much we fed the neighbors too!

After Hurricane Michael hit here in Florida, a local restaurant cooked everything they had and gave it all away for free to people in the community. The owner said he’s rather cook and feed people rather than it spoil and not help anyone. They helped sooo many people. We had no power for a month....

This is how it is in some parts of Louisiana. During the flood a few years ago people were bringing passtalaya and other goods to one another in the neighborhood. This was 30 something houses most with families. No way to leave because the roads were underwater and it was too dangerous for people to boat out. They started air dropping food at one point because they had been stuck there for a few days.
