It's a documentary of acoustic guitar making course presented by 9Rivers and my friend Ma-Chen. It's a two weeks entry level course, the student will make a D-style guitar themselves during the class.

The video really shows how a properly evolved construction process can streamline construction. The guitar sounds very good though the bass is a little thin. The upper notes are very bell like and individual note articulation is excellent.

Thank you~ It's kind of hard to get good tools here in China, though the government claims the custom duty for USA made products is reducing, but in fact it's a pain to deal with custom office, they just don't want you to buy oversea yourself.

Very nice work,,,it's incredibly difficult to build an acoustic guitar, by hand like you did. Does a French dovetail neck to body joint affect the sound any (as compared to the mortice and tenon)?

Based on the looks that would be;
rosewood back and sides, spruce top and an ebony fingerboard.
Only the neck and headstock being a bit unususal; 2 piece maple with a mahogony centre and a piece of rosewood for the top of the headstock

钢丝弦吉他本来也没几十年的事儿，没那么多讲究，除了从古典吉他那沿用了点东西基本没什么传承。国外的所谓制琴师也是良莠不齐，有想法的写本书，各种牵强附会，没想法的就做点东西卖点钱而已。各有各自的制作方法，从零开始就调面板匹配背板费点儿劲，但是数据在那你随便搞也没多大差别，最听不得崇洋媚外的大忽悠。
by the way，希望国内的制琴厂加把劲儿，把吉他做成白菜价。加油！凭什么那几个所谓的北美牛人就能弄几块木头板儿瞎敲糊弄人，还卖出天价。
