I am a therapist and what I can see till now is that most of my clients are my clients because of parental injustice, parental invalidation, parental abuse, pressure and emotional hurt. I do not understand what leadership example should we learn from parents when most of the times we can see that parents and their leadership is influenced by culture and family norms. So I do not agree to the point that parents are ideal example of leadership. Yes, there are millions of lessons to be learned from them but not all. So yes, I do second you that we can take a notepad and a pen and learn from them, but we must know what to cut and remove, mold and correct according to Islam. So leadership's ideal example is to be found when you learn to know when are your parents wrong, and when to not get inspired by their struggles that were just a ratrace in no direction.

Alhumdulillah, I have been studying and learning about Islam from very young age. With Allah's toufeeq I could listen to several scholars and muftis as well, also learnt about sharia, over the last several years. I was fortunate enough to also learn and understand some deep concepts of Taswauf, psychology as well as studied and listened to some intellectuals - due to the influence of some close family members. Due to my personal interest in psychology and then because of my profession I also learnt some basics of psychology and psychiatry. Everything I learnt, it just became easier and clearer to understand the teachings of Islam - Alhumdulillah. Islam is such a great treasure that needs to be discovered and learned in its true essence!!! It is amalgamation of several knowledges and of course much much more. After years/decades of leraning, I became able to filter out our culture from Islam. Learning and understanding about Islam has empowered me so much. It has increased my confidence and has liberated me from many societal or cultural pressures. It feels almost each commandment in Islam is to liberate us (especially the women) to free us so that we can all enjoy our lives in a just society. Everything that is said has a very deep science behind it. I agree with Sahil sahab our culture suppresses women, not the Islam!
